Chereads / Nirvana sect master system / Chapter 28 - I dare you

Chapter 28 - I dare you

Three months, there wasn't much Ace could do to improve his strength since there was still about nine months for him to awaken the remaining five layers of the foundation tower and he needed to find a way to increase his cultivation speed.

Right there, there was only one way. By improving his cultivation technique to the next level to double his cultivation speed or even more considering its profoundness.

Cultivation technique: Absolute Frost, second stage (10200/10000)

Fifth layer of foundation tower: (10200/16000)

It was a decision he had to make, he had to slow down the awakening of the fifth layer in consideration for the future.

"10000 cultivation points have been deducted! Absolute Frost has been improved to the third stage!"

Absolute Frost, third stage: Cultivation speed has been doubled, martial skill has been granted.

Chamber Of Mirrors: Surrounds the enemy with eight mirrors made of ice, contained within each is an attack that forms dependent on the elemental intent that the host cultivates. Attack power will be improved with deeper comprehension of the frost element.

Since this was the case, it would only take him a month to awaken the fifth layer and two months to awaken the sixth layer. All he had to do right now was find a way to speed up his cultivation speed after awakening the sixth layer of the foundation tower.

"New system quest has been issued!"

Details: Now that you've established your sect, get your sect officially recognised within a month's time to gain the participation spot for the annual sect competition that would be taking place in three months time.

Rewards: For every disciple in the top hundred, gain 100 sect and system points. For every disciple in the top ten gain 500 sect and system points. If a disciple ranks at the top, gain a thousand sect and system points including a lottery spin chance.

Gain my sect an official grading? Maybe Cidd might know how I can do so considering that he was wandering around the world before stopping at my sect.

Taking into consideration that he was the one who needed help, Ace decided to look for Cidd personally instead of ordering him to meet him at the main hall.

Walking past the disciples dwellings, he nodded towards each of their greetings while making use of the system's ability to know their cultivation progress in detail.

Such as their cultivation base, their combat strength, their unique traits based on the sect missions, the cultivation techniques and martial skills they chose and most importantly, how loyal they're to the sect.

Based on the system's guide, a loyalty level lower than sixty meant that the disciple had no deep feelings towards the sect. A loyalty level below 50 would mean that betrayal was possible while a loyalty level below 30 meant that a disciple had already betrayed the sect in some way.

A loyalty level of 70 and above meant that the disciple was contended with the sect, a loyalty level of 80 and above meant that the disciple wouldn't do anything that harms the sect while a loyalty level above 90 meant that the sect was important to that disciple.

At their all their loyalty level is above 70. If things go well, maybe the sect can send a hundred Martial Masters below the age of 20 to participate in the annual sect competition.

Right when Ace was about to approach Cidd's dwelling, his attention was caught by sparks of lightning that were left in the air.

Following the path, he soon arrived at the natural waterfall that has existed on the Nascent mountain even before all life here went extinct.

Below the merciless current of the waterfall was Lancelot who was standing below the raging force of the waterfall that was pouring on his body, the cold caused his body to shiver and his head was hurting from the continuous pressure, but he gritted his teeth and pushed on.

He was holding the spear firmly, pointing towards the front while maintaining it parallel to the ground. It was difficult, but Lancelot could sense his cultivation increasing whenever he circulates his cultivation technique while he felt himself getting closer to his spear.

"Lancelot, let me show you something." Ace approached Lancelot as he went under the waterfall as well, with his sword, he pointed it towards the waterfall and made use of his sword intent to stop its flow.

The intense heat was causing the water to evaporate quickly. It seems that I'm still able to control the two elemental intents individually, Ace heaved a sigh of relief to himself as he slashed upwards.

Without any spirit energy, the force of his slash and sword intent easily caused a minor gap in the waterfall for a few seconds before water came pouring down from that side again.

"Lancelot, within three months time, I hope you can grasp the second stage of your spear intent." Ace then left the area, his body completely dry by the time he left.

"Sect master, thank you for giving me a chance at revenge…"

Nearing Cidd's dwelling, Ace could hear the melodic voice of his zither. Stepping into his dwelling secretly, Ace stayed at the side to wait for Cidd to finish the current piece he was playing, but he soon stopped.

"Sect master, please take a seat inside."

Cidd said calmly as he ended the music piece he was playing with a final note that gave it the proper ending.

"It's fine, I just have a question to ask."

Ace replied as he leaned against the wall without the intention to intrude on Cidd any further.

Remaining seated, Cidd then asked, "Sect master, why are you looking for me all of a sudden?"

"I'm sure that you have heard of the annual sect competition and that only sects with an official grading can enter. I'm here to ask if you know of any method to get an official grading for the sect." Ace explained, only to realise that Cidd was smiling at him with a letter in hand.

"I've already settled this problem, someone from the official sect grading headquarters will be here in a month's time to determine the grading of our sect. You may not be at the Martial Master realm yet, but my presence that day should be more than enough."

"Thanks, about the lecture hall, please put it to full use."

"Of course."

Seeing that everything was settled for now, Ace then returned to his own dwelling which has been greatly improved. Entering the room, he realised that Charlotte was cultivating and decided not to disturb her as he sat on his own bed and began his cultivation.

But a few seconds later, Ace couldn't help but open his eyes to take a better look at Charlotte. Shaking his head, Ace berated himself, what the hell are you doing!

Few minutes later, the same thing happened again as he ended the cultivation session and proceeded to leave the room, only for a soft and delicate hand to grab his palm.

"Is it that difficult to cultivate with me around?' Hearing the alluring voice from behind, Ace told himself that he should leave now before he regrets it, but his natural instinct soon conquered his decision as he turned around.

"It's already evening, just spend the rest of tonight with me alright?"

Left without a choice, Ace sat down on his own bed as Charlotte shifted over and started to cultivate again.

"What are you thinking of? Focus on cultivating for now, there's still an hour or two before nighttime."

"Oh right."

Ace could only react awkwardly to Charlotte who was playing around with him this time. Wait, shouldn't I be the one teasing her?

By the time their cultivation session ended, Ace realised that his cultivation speed was more than double of previously, when he looked deeper into the reason, he finally understood why.

Since his cultivation speed was quadrupled, the 20% increase in cultivation speed and 10% increase in cultivation speed for the dwelling was increased as well.

"I'm going to sleep first." Charlotte said as she leaned back before lying down on Ace's pillow.

Looking at her, Ace couldn't help but smile as he laid down beside her, his arm hugging her body from behind as his warm breath blew against her neck.

Blushing, Charlotte tried to get away. Damn it, he's not letting me go.

"Let me go…" Charlotte struggled meekly, only for Ace to bite on her ear and whisper, "You were the one who wanted me to stay with you?"

Charlotte turned around in an attempt to argue, only for her face to be directly before Ace as she hurriedly tried to pull some distance away.

"Don't worry Charlotte, I won't go any further than this until the day you fully accept me."

"Your body has already betrayed you."

Knowing that backing down wasn't an option, Ace then argued back, "One more word and I might eat you up right here right now."

"I dare you…" Before Charlotte could finish speaking, Ace warm lips pressed against her moist cherry lips as his hand fumbled around her clothing clumsily.

Charlotte wanted to push Ace away, but her instincts still betrayed her as she accepted his passionate love.
