Hermes Marco goes straight to the top floor once he arrives. His executive secretary and vice president for finance have been waiting for him inside his office. Piles of documents await him on his large office table. He gets strapped with loads of work after following Rosa almost every day.
His secretary reads his schedule to him. He has several important meetings to attend. Some of the contracts urgently need his signature. He cannot delay it anymore. Then, he has to visit construction sites in the coming days.
Listening to his schedules makes him exhausted and out of energy already. Yet, he cannot do anything about it. That is the life of a wealthy man.
How to be Hermes? Midas Marco built their conglomerate business from scratch. And he expects his only son to continue the legacy he started.
As a top executive, his responsibilities may drown him if he is not capable enough. He is still in his right mind not to wish to exchange his place with others. It is not going to be a good scene to watch if he disturbs his father from his retirement. Else, his father would kick his butt.
He listens to the vice president reporting to him their financial backlog that needs a quick resolution. Marcos has to affix his signature before the finance department can access and release the fund.
Hermes signs the approval form and sends everyone away. He calls Brie before immersing in his work.
"Hi, Brie. Where are you guys?"
"Photoshoot."
"I wanted to come and see Rosa. Sadly, I cannot go. Lots of work to do. Can't bum around this time." She hears Hermes sighs at the other end of the line.
Brie grabs the chance to satisfy her cravings. "In that case, send Rosa's favorite cake and drink, and don't forget my frappe. Alright? We would wait for it." She hurriedly taps the end button.
Hermes sighs and calls his security. He instructs them to buy the dessert and drinks and bring it to Rosa.
He stretches out his body upon settling in his chair. Then, he begins reading through all the documents waiting for him.
Brie jubilantly receives the goods Hermes' men hand over to her.
When Rosa sees it, "Where those came from?"
"Hermes sent it over," Brie proudly responds.
"Did he send it on his own or you requested for it?"
"He did it on his initiative though I told him what to send."
"Opportunist."
"Well, he sent it wholeheartedly just for you."
"You better stop raising Hermes' hopes on me. Else, Graysen might vanish you soon." Brie pause for a moment imagining it. "That is going to hurt a lot."
She pokes on Rosa. "Go! The photographer calls for you now. I'll just put this aside."
Friday comes. Hermes remembers he has not seen Rosa for the past few days.
He taps on Brie's contact number, "Where are you and Rosa?"
"Nowhere."
"No schedule?"
"Not until next week."
"Where's Rosa right now?"
"She went out of town with Senator Graysen."
"And you?"
"Me?" Brie gets confused with his question. "Bumming at home?"
"What are you going to do this weekend?"
"Yoga, eating, and sleeping." She promptly replies.
"Go with me then for two days on my site inspection."
"What's the catch?" "It's an island." "And?"
"We're going to ride a helicopter going there."
"Sounds fun. But not enough." "
What's that latest bag and shoes you were telling me about before?"
"I'll tell you when I see you later."
"Very well. Pack your stuff. I'll send somebody to fetch in the afternoon."
"Should I bring some swimwear."
"You better. There's kayak and jet ski in there."
