Before high noon approaches a helicopter arrives in the island. Graysen orders for it to fetch them. He feels it would not be suitable for Rosa's body to ride the speed boat going back exposing her to the gust of cold sea breeze.
He packs their stuff and gets the caretaker to bring it to the landing area. He supports Rosa as she walks out.
Rosa is silent during the whole ride. Graysen checks on her touching her forehead. She looks at him gratefully. The helicopter lands in a vast field. A walking distance from it is a four-storey high white structure with large columns supporting it.
Graysen holds on to Rosa's elbow as she disembarks. He tells her, "You still have a slight fever. Are you sure you can walk on your own? Let me carry you."
He holds her waist and put her other arm at the back of her legs and carries her. They pass through an ornamental garden then enter a manicured yard, bursting with colors from the different flowers planted in it. A wide glass door opens for them entering the Andrei's family villa.
Graysen greets the old woman who opens the door for them. "Hello Nana Amor."
"Welcome back Senator and Madam." Nana Amor bows to them.
Nana Amor is the chief household helper who has been with the Andrei's for nearly five decades. She is well-trusted by Graysen since she also took care of him growing up.
Rosa checks the superfluous interior of the house as Andrei still carries her going up the stairs. He halts his step and instructs Rosa to turn the door knob and open the room. He tells her, "This is our room."
He puts her down on the bed. Rosa fixes the pillow so she can relax with her back on the headboard.
Graysen states, "We will be staying here from now on."
Rosa gets annoyed from what she hears. She feels dejected.
She appeals to him, "Can't we live in my villa apartment? I'm more comfortable there."
"We do not have enough security there," Graysen counters. "Here, you do not have to be bothered about anything else. My mama is in charge of the nitty gritties in the villa."
They hear a knock on the door. Graysen opens the door and lets her mother in.
"How are you feeling Rosa? I heard you're a bit sick. I brought you some fresh fruits so you can recover quickly." Modena Andrei puts the tray on the bedside table near Rosa.
"Thanks Mrs. Andrei," Rosa utters.
"Oh, no Rosa. From now on you have to get used to calling me Mama. I am glad that there is an additional member of the family I can spend time with. You don't have to worry about anything here. This is my turf. All you have to do is to relax." Modena pats Rosa's hands.
Rosa slightly nods her head. "Yes, just as Andrei said. Thank you."
She was overwhelmed with her work and wedding preparations she forgot to discuss with him regarding their living arrangement after the wedding. She really should have - after all this is a marriage between two people who have to adjust to each other and be together for a lifetime.
She softly sighs in defeat. She just has to learn to live with it. They are already a married couple.
