"The Kim household is now open!"
Jeremiah Kim, in a white rolled up polo opened the porch for every single high-profile highschool student in the city. That elite circle composed of ten, no, eleven people, plus him. His brother, Rainier Kim, pushes him to the side and chuckles bitterly. "As if you were not a Kim yourself, Jer." He pats his brother's back as he entered along the living room on the second floor with the other ones. On the counter was Jenny Kim in a silk red dress, playing with the drinks and mixing them while slightly tipsy already. "Drinks on me, ladies." Handing Yohan, her suitor a cocktail drink and tried to kiss him. "Am I a lady now, baby?" He smirks as he took the drink with his other hand in his pocket heading to the table where the boy with his neck tie was already on his head, Vincent Kim was playing UNO cards with Jay and Rose with hands already in each other's lap and waist. In the far corner was Sean and Lea in sportswear, her hair in two buns and hands in boxing gloves which was beating each other, playfully they said, yet it looked far from playful with Sean's bruised lips. By the terrace was Heidi Kim and Lucas , sharing a cigarette and watching the chaos unravel with the drinks and games and the beatings. As the night passes and the spaces between them dissolved and was brought closer, they gathered in the circle. The Kim siblings in one side. Jeremiah, Rainier, Heidi, Vincent and Heidi on the floor, holding now the UNO cards. Lucas was on his boyfriend's side holding their set and Yohan and Lea watching them while they also go against Rose who was sitting in Jay's lap. It was a tight competition until Lucas dropped a his last plus four card, that made everyone except Sean whine in frustration. After throwing the cards, Jenny's eyes lit up and she ran to get something. Going back with a bottle of liquor their parents told them not to touch and an old box, she placed it in the center.
"That is dad's-" Rainier tried to protest and she brushed it off revealing a thick set of cards. "But Jenny?!"
"You remember what our school call us?" She fluttered her eyelids and laughed like a brat while she spreads them in a circle.
"They call us the Wicked. Yet, no one would dare come at us. It's just plain madness that we got that." The girls fingers played with the cards while she spoke in a voice of a seductress. "Because what? Lea once beat up a poor boy without a mama? Or was it when Yohan and Jay brought drugs to school? Maybe it was when Sean tried to burn a classroom or Lucas revealed a professor who was making him his toy? I bet it was that one moment that Vincent and I got away for wrecking the lab or when Jeremiah-" she coughs and bows her head. No one would dare talk about that except- "Or when Jeremiah and I were caught in the school records room?" Rainier opened the bottle and placed it in the middle of the cards like it was supposed to. "We did good things too. Haven't we Rose? " He tilted his head and stared at her while she nods. Heidi was silent in the corner while she smokes.
"Let's play?"
"Oh darling, as we play this game, let every damned soul pray for the Wicked." Jenny laughed as she lifted a card.
The next morning, the bottles carelessly scattered on the counter. It smelled like puke and cigarette butts was everywhere. The first to wake was Heidi.
The morning sun was kissing Joon's bruised face. Lea's clothes had shards of glass. Jenny was naked beside the unconscious Yohan. Rainier was tied to a chair and Lucas was laying beside his vomit. Sean had a knife in his hand. Jay was bloody and Vincent pinned to the wall with the car keys hanging on his belt. After counting, she trembled as one was missing. She stepped back and saw a curtain hanging while being tied on the balcony. She looked down and saw crashed cars and a card.
"For the last one, write in someone's blood the last words said before the game started.,"
With hands shaking, she looked at the wall and painted was "Pray for the Wicked." in thick blood.
Her screams jolted them awake.
