Ever since that dinner my parents have been very different..almost as if it were my last days on earth , which to them in a way it was..I was leaving for who knows how long just to get some money for my parents. " Hana dear we will be back..we just need to go pick up someone real quick!" I open my eyes to my mother downstairs telling me she'd be back soon " Guess I'll start packing since I'm leaving in three days.." I get up from my bed and walk towards my closet to get some clothes to put in my suitcase listening to some 'bohemian music'. A few hours later I've finished packing and hear the front door opening " Hana we're home!" I get up to my mother's voice thinking she brought home some groceries that she needed help with but instead..it was a little baby.." Mother why do you have a baby in your arms.."Your new baby brother!" I feel a bit weird to know that my parents both have a infant in their 60s it just isn't right.." Mother how are you going to take care of this child?" My mother walks away with the baby when my father gives her a hint to leave me and him to talk. " What the freak is going on!?" My father sighs but doesn't hesitate to fill me in on it " Your mother has been wanting another child since turned fourteen. I can't blame her either, you looked like you really needed someone close other than chikashi."I understood what he was saying but couldn't get around the age part " Father...." He looks at me with a sad look " I know we are old but on another hand we had no choice in the matter..it was either adoption or we take him in." It was really confusing..everyone has a choice but why the two?"What do you mean?" Father looks away " The baby is your mother's close friends baby.She sadly passed yesterday and we were on a letter she wrote for the doctors because she knew she wouldn't make it." I was shocked never would I have thought someone would leave my parents to take care of their baby but then again my parents did their best and successfully succeeded " Ah and that's why you two left..so what did mother name him?" As soon as I ask my mother walks up to me "Akihiko..that is his name." I look at the infant and couldn't help but smile " Can I hold my new brother?" My mother smiles at me and carefully gives him to me "Ena always loved the name akihiko..it stands for bright child. She wanted her baby to be as bright as the sun, smile everyday, be polite,anthing that involved good." I look at my mother only to see her tearing up " I remember..she only wanted the best for her kids because her life wasn't the best..Her father was an abuser,mother alcoholic, and brother jailed. she just wanted to ever make her own family that was full of smiles but never got that...all she got was a man who pretended to love her!" My mother couldn't help the tears and hatred she had for everyone who ever made ena feel miserable and to be honest I couldn't help but cry as well it was sad " He left as soon as he found out she was pregnant...but that didn't stop her at all...she just wanted the best..." I feel so upset I couldn't believe that all this happened yet she didn't give up not one bit. " so... " My mother trys to pull herself together. "with that..I need to be alone ..Can I take him for a bit.." I nod and put him in my mother's arms gently before walking up to my room. I check my phone and see messages from gen so I obviously check them curiously " Huh?" when I open his message it says ' I'm sorry for not replying to you for awhile. I thought about stuff and maybe we need a break. ' wow I thought it was gonna be something more interesting but guess not. I wonder is it bad to not care about him..eh probably nothing " Hana please come downstairs someone is here for you!" I suddenly hear my mother call from downstairs so I go down without hesitation " Oh here she is!" I look at the door to see aiko standing there by herself holding her purse " Hello hana..sorry to drop by without saying anything I just wanted to let you know that...um.." I notice that aiko has trouble putting what she is trying to say in words so I try to comfort her " Listen whatever your gonna say to me won't make me feel anything bad about you but I won't pry if you don't want to tell me." Aiko looks a bit sad but responds calmly " Thank you but I need to tell you.. it's not a want. It's about nathen so I thought it might help with your story if your willing to hear me out.." I never had anything against aiko so what can go wrong " Please do! Anything to get me away from my job early!" Aiko smiles,grabs my hand and pulls me toward my parents living room to sit down " Now you might want to get a notepad and a pen so you can add this in your newspaper." I get up to go grab some paper and a pen then run back to aiko "well.. I'm pretty sure you noticed me you noticed how I looked when hearing his name.." I nod my head waiting for her to tell me everything "Anyway...We both were very young he was very wealthy..or I should say his family is..he never wanted to be in his family business or be wealthy due to what people thought about rich people." I nod my head as I write down the important stuff on my paper " That is understandable. Some people believe all rich/wealthy people are just snobs and etc." Aiko looks down and begins to get fidgety with her hands " Yes. He would always help the poor unlike his family and..he is the best! But sadly a tragedy happened with his younger sister she had leukemia and failed to fight it three months after finding out..she was only seven. After that happened he's been cold,turned his back on me and got a job as a chef for whatever reason.." I feel sadness in her voice that seems like it hurt not only him but the people around him too " Thank you.. I know it must've been hard for you.." She shakes her head and takes out her card " It needed to be said..here is my number call me after talking to him when you get there..okay?" I grab her card and before she left gave her a comforting hug just to make sure she doesn't feel like a nothing remembering being pushed aside from nathen.
