Chapter 33 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

Mu Yuhaan's facial expression underwent a slightest of changes; but he remained silent despite feeling extremely disappointed.

She didn't even remember he would come, while he faithfully spent the whole day anticipating.

However, Mu Yuhaan concealed his displeasure, pulled out a remote, aimed it at the TV screen and pressed on the 'on' button. "Take your time, I'm not in a hurry, and I can wait forever." His incomprehensible eyes and unfathomable expression gave nothing away.

Mian was speechless for a long moment, she couldn't help but stare vacantly at Mu Yuhaan. Her gaze lingered on the man sitting leisurely on her couch, and observing her living room like a little curious kid, leaving the TV turned on.

'But I can't wait to oust you out of my apartment.' She thought with a smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes.

The moment Mian turned around, Mu Yuhaan twisted his head to watch Mian walk to the kitchen, his gaze locked on her swaying hips.

Mian placed a cast iron plate of cookies in the middle oven rack. As, this particular shelf provided the most even heat and air-exposure, it got the cookies desiccated and oven-baked thoroughly.

Although it was a coffee 'invitation', some snacks needed to accompany the cup of coffee.

Mian envisioned her near future with Mu Yuhaan knocking on her door everyday with his perked-up ears and swaying tail. After all, he evinced and verified the essential level of cheekiness for that successfully.

"Give him an inch, he will take a mile. I better ignore his presence, lest he should come again!" Tucking her hair behind the ear, Mian murmured. She refused to spare a glance in the direction of the living room.

Though she hesitated, and perhaps failed to express herself distinctly earlier, she opposed to entertain any cheeky neighbor!

...

Meanwhile, Mu Yuhaan was walking around Mian's whole apartment—guest room, adjacent room, library and finally, he stopped at her bedroom.

A low platform king size bed was placed in the middle of the room, with its low headboard attached to the wall, surrounded by two double-drawer chests.

On the left side, there were two sets of symmetrically-placed, floor-to-ceiling black framed two-feets-width glass walls, with a peach-coloured DAWN luxury dresser placed right in between them.

On the right side of the room, glass sliding doors revealed a big balcony which welcomed more light into the room.

The glass walls and balcony served double-duty. Beside creating a bright and airy ambiance, they were designed for admiring the capital city in all its splendor; which was the focal point of the master bedroom.

Urbanity, simplicity with voguish sense, neatness, and placidity—this master bedroom had it all to speak volumes about Mian's personality. It was wonderfully calming and serene for Mu Yuhaan, knowing Mian unwinded herself here at the end of her work, after saving many people's lives.

This fact alone, helped Mu Yuhaan de-stress and offered a relax mode in his head-space, preventing the currents trends in business and problems from circulating in his brain.

Mu Yuhaan sat on Mian's bed and looked at the kitchen from there. His gaze was so dedicated on her, even his eyelids forgot to flutter, as he laid on the bed, mesmerized by Mian's movement.

She looked like a gentle housewife, didn't she?

The clean atmosphere of the apartment coupled with the aroma of freshly baked cookies exuding from the kitchen birthed an unusual fancy for food within Mu Yuhaan.

She was making food for him!

A twinkle showed up in Mu Yuhaan's eyes, before a satisfied smile plucking at the corners of his lips.

While his eyes were following Mian nonstop, Mu Yuhaan took the side pillow, and hugged it.

She smelled so good and it was very unique. The mixture of Lavender and Sandalwood gave off a soothing vibe, yet added the sense of sensuality.

Mu Yuhaan smiled and sighed.

Who would have thought one day, he would be mesmerized by a girl's body scent, and would want to roll on her bed taking in her smell?

It was a little bizarre, however, every single thing about Mian piqued curiosity inside Mu Yuhaan. The moment, he entered her apartment, he could hide his curiosity no more, and started roaming around to see everything.

Surprisingly, he was the same person, who never bothered about others' business. Neither did he have time for that, nor was he interested. It was hard for Mu Yuhaan to be curious about anybody as nothing seemed to matter to him apart from the business. In fact, it had more of a role in his life, than any human being.

His grandfather was right, nobody could be too busy for the person who they were truly interested in. See, he squeezed out time from his tight schedule to spend the evening with Mian.

Mu Yuhaan tossed and turned on Mian's bed, hugging her pillow. Suddenly, his eyes fell on her reach-in closet, opposite the bed, and beside the door to the living room.

The devilment in his eyes worked it's way to his lips and pushed the corners upward.

Maybe, it was due to the fact that Mu Yuhaan was born with a golden spoon in mouth, and got whatever he wanted. He was used to people bidding to his every whim, thus, without thinking about possible consequences, he started checking through Mian's accoutrements, her private belongings.

"What are you doing?"

Mu Yuhaan's grip tightened on one of Mian's dresses for a second hearing her soft voice with its unique accent and intonation. Knowing Mian caught him red handed, he ran his tongue across his upper teeth briefly.

Getting caught was the scenario, he never expected to encounter.

He was planning to exit Mian's bedroom, before she was done in the kitchen. Damn! Nothing seemed to be in his control, when it was related to her!

Did Mian see him smelling and rubbing his face in her clothes?!

Mian walked towards Mu Yuhaan, she crossed her hands over her chest, then gazed at his eyes, before saying, "What are you doing in my closet?" She asked collectedly, without any hint of panic.

Few seconds ago...

When Mian took out the cookies from the oven and put them on the kitchen-counter to lose the piping heat, she casually glanced towards the living room; however, to her surprise, there wasn't anyone.

'Did he already leave? But he hasn't drunk his coffee yet.' She stood there dumbfounded for a second, then casted away the incident thinking something urgent must have come off.

'Should she send it to his apartment?'

Mian stepped forward, then shilly-shallied for a while, apparently in two minds. In the end, she walked across the living room and stopped before the maindoor, peeping through the door viewer.

Just as, she was about to twist the door knob, a sound coming from her bedroom, stoped her. Mian paused and felt puzzled. Gradually, her eyebrows furrowed, eyes narrowed down slightly, before she stormed towards her bedroom.
