Chapter 15 - Turned Out, This Goddess Had The Full Potential To Be His Young Madam!

As the man suddenly stopped in his steps, his secretary, who was following behind closely, was caught off guard and almost bumped his nose with the man's hard back. Mercifully, for his own good, he was able to stop in his tracks in time; then followed his superior's line of sight, only to be mesmerized for a while.

'No wonder he is looking at this woman for this long. This woman seems to be in her early twenties and she is a rare beauty. But why does she look so familiar?' The secretary thought.

Suddenly, his eyes widened when realization struck him.

Wasn't she the same woman, The President made Wang Eric investigate a few days ago? Considering her exquisiteness and radiance, any trait of her was enough to make men weave desires! No wonder why all of a sudden, President Mu, The Great Monk, left his grand mansion and decided to reside here, in a humble abbot. He must have found out in advance, this beautiful lady rented this place for a year.

He unnecessarily wasted his precious time, mourning for the heavenly beauty, thinking she would get killed. Reversing his fear, things took a fortuitous turn! Turned out, this goddess had the full potential to be his Young Madam!

Hu Ming was nurturing his thoughts, when his eyes floated to the wall clocks hanging in Mian's living room.

'10am! Holy Cow!' Hu Ming internally screamed the curse word at the top of his lungs.

President Mu was getting late for the meeting with the French Company! This meeting would play a vital role in Mu Empire's business ventures in Europe. However, wouldn't he get roasted, if he were to ruin the former's sweet time?

After some hesitation, Hu Ming plucked up his courage, reminded in a meekly voice, "President Mu, we are getting late for the meeting with the French company."

Mu Yuhaan, "...."

Hu Ming bit on the bullet, called out again, "President Mu,"

"What?" Mu Yuhaan gave him 'Don't ruffle my feathers look' before shifting his gaze back to its previous spot.

'If you were listening to me instead of staring at her, you would have known what I was talking about.'

Hu Ming gainsaid in his mind, and brought himself justice straight away. However, even if someone were to blast him to ashes, he wouldn't dare to let his thoughts pass through his lips.

The ghost of a smile emerged on Hu Ming's afeared features. "We should ride this meeting out and close the deal. In the evening, you can..." He broke the sentence, and swallowed 'Stare at her all you want.' part.

Mu Yuhaan snapped back to reality. He cleared his throat in an endeavour to stop the rosiness on his face from flitting across, then asked callously, "Why are you eating the time here? Let's go."

Hu Ming, "....."

After it seemed like an hour or two, two delivery men delivered Mian's stuff; and Mian being Mian didn't waste a single second.

She hung all of her clothes in her bedroom cupboard in an organised way, then all the shoes and sneakers in the shoe cabinet beside the main door.

Last but not least, it was the book's turn. Mian took a deep breath, this one was a bit exasperating and attention-seeking, as she had to organise all the books in an alphabetic way.

It took Mian three hours to organise everything and clean the whole apartment. The apartment was already cleaned, as house clean had already done her job before Mian came, but for her mental peace, she decided to do it again.

After settling down everything, Mian went to the bathroom for a shower. The cold water blew away the cobwebs, and inspirited her with a big smile for the rest of the day.

The interior of the huge living room in Mu Mansion was honey-colored, chocolate brown, and white themed, as it was built and designed in European style.

In the center of the room, there were brown rectangular classy sofa sets with honey-colored cushions. A large studio window inundated the living room with a deluge of sunlight. Mu Hanqiu calculatedly positioned the window in the ceiling to keep sky views visible. Beside that, were hanging the most expensive chandelier, 'The Givenchy Royal Hanover German Silver Eight light' by William Kent, which Old Master Mu bought from an auction for $9M years back.

Mu Mansion had a round fairytale type staircase which was covered with Antique Persian Carpet $33M, keeping Old Madam Mu's safety in mind. Beside the staircase, there was a dining area, which was two steps above the rest of the living room.

Sweeping lake views with magnificent waterfront were framed by picture windows in that side of wall. To give the room a shiny feel, the designer brought in a Italian rose gold rectangle luxury marble top dining table, with high back glazing blue dining chairs.

Old Madam Mu took a sip from her favourite Pearl Tea; beside her was Jing Lihua, who was clad in a white floral dress. Her shoulder length wavy hair was let down, a sweet smile was plastered on her lips, as she was looking at her feet. A docile look lingered on her face, as if she could be broken with a simple knock.

Jing Lihua was holding a ceramic white cup of Pearl Tea, which she didn't like, as she was used to drinking bitter coffee, that too only Americano. However, Pearl Tea was the Old Madam Mu's favourite and in order to impress the old lady, she had decided to drink it.

To become Mu Yuhaan's wife, Jing Lihua had to enter the old lady's good book first, as she sensed his reluctance to talk to women long ago.

Mu Yuhaan didn't like to be in women's presence. Despite that, his innate emotional reticence made him the most desirable man for a decade now!

He had a deep sense of aversion towards women; the only exception was his mother and grandmother.

Had this not been the case, Jing Lihua wouldn't even bother to waste her time with this old lady. As, she also had her own disinclination, particularly for old people. In fact, she seldom talked to her own grandparents.

Old Madam Mu stared at Jing Lihua's shy face for a few seconds, a trace of affection flashed across her eyes. "Lihua, I'm touched that you also like this tea. After all, youngsters nowadays don't seem to see anything apart from hard-drinks and bitter coffee!"

Jing Lihua perceived the look in Old Madam Mu's eyes, and slightly lifted the corner of her lips with a hint of mockery. "How can I not? Tea is our culture. No matter how much we advance, we should always embrace our tradition with love and respect." She said softly, as she curried her favor with a smile.

Sheer contrast to her facade, every word from the Old Madam Mu was getting under her skin. First, she had to chat with the old lady, and second, she was holding a teacup.
