Carrying two plates of sandwich, Mu Yuhaan led Mian to the minimalist modern balcony, attached with the guest room.
Initially, there was only a swing in the Mezzanine balcony. Later, Mian carved out two separate areas in it, and doubled the functionality. A two-person wooden swing was set against the glass rails in the left, and on the right side, two three-seater sofas faced each other with a glass-made coffee table in the middle.
Mian set down a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice on the table in front of Mu Yuhaan, sitting down on the sofa opposite him, and taking a big gulp of juice from her own glass.
In contradistinction to the balcony in her bedroom which was usually very sweltering at noon from its exposure to the glaring sun overhead, this one faced west; hence, it was very airy. To top it off, she rolled up the carpet, so that the floor could provide coolness for the feet.
