Chapter 2 - You Are Mine To Decide Everything For You, Even Your Death!

Mian walked on the beach, moonlight was emitting soothing and cozy rays, blue water was glistening, while cool breeze was coming from the ocean.

The beach, she came in sight of from distance, was full of coconut trees and dark. That couldn't be the direction, she was looking for!

Thus, she came to a halt on the satiny-sandy beach, near the crystal clear blue-green depths. The silver sparkly sand, glittering under the rays of moonlight, beneath the water, called her with open heart. And the moon dancing on the incoming waves, acted just like that palsy-walsy, hospitable person in the gate, in charge of welcoming guests.

However, a person without peace at heart could scarcely enjoy the beauty of nature. Mian's restless eyes were wandering around, to find a way out of this giant place. It had been two hours already, yet she found it impossible to tell which way led to the main road.

Mian felt stuck at the same place, as if running in a circle...

Well, she never got any chance to make herself acquainted with the surroundings, and the routes. Because, he didn't even allow her to step out of the threshold.

Walking back for a few minutes more, she stopped in front of a wooden bridge over the ocean leading to a large patio.

This advanced patio was both pioneering and cordial; leisurely, yet systematized and sorted out; having all the bells and whistles, from White Hot Tub filled with emerald water, overlooking the greenish-blue ocean flowing under the mountain ranges, to the cool waterbed with white drapes. A cozy space to enjoy snuggling together.

Well, in accordance with him, amidst all the prepossessing sceneries, the real showstopper that really made a splash, here was the bed!

Mian distinctly remember the last time, she was here. He went on his knee, and proposed her for marriage. However, instead of a ring, he gave her the ownership certificate of this giant land; including the beach, the mansion, forests, mountains, and all other establishments in it.

Weird, wasn't it? Well, to her, he had always been the most aberrant.

Bang! Bang!

All of a sudden, breaking the serenity of the atmosphere, in the dead of night, two short sounds reverberated.

Mian stopped to draw breath in a startled gasp of twinge. She put her mind to the intense affliction, and slowly looked down as blood welled and gushed forth from a little above her heart.

Gunshot! One of the targets was missed, and another struck her just right.

Soon after, shuffling footsteps could be heard, drawing nearer and nearer.

They came to haunt her already? How could she die before seeing her mommy and daddy for the last time? Also, her pregnant sister, she didn't yet feel her nephew's heartbeat! No! She had to sustain her lifetime, even if just for a day!

Mian had no choice but to bring herself into hiding. She winced in pain, yet braced herself for the way next to a tree with chattering teeth. Leaning against it, Mian inched her way down the thorny tree, oblivious to its vicious prickles lacerating her supple back. While those people searched for her upside down in the nearby, she, despite being in agonizing pain, managed to abscond.

The pain in Mian's left side escorted her to the state of semi-consciousness. It was very insufferable, and forced her to fight for breath.

As the seconds inched by, it started getting harder for her to breathe. She opened her mouth wide to inhale, yet her lungs refused to fill in any air, as if it lost its capacity.

With the eyes, which were fighting with her willpower to be shut, she threw back her head and stared at the sky.

This was how her life was supposed to end?

Lassitude was overwhelmingly beguiling Mian, but she remained conscious employing her every bit of strength of will. Death is natural for humans, but she badly wanted one more day!

It was the last divine collision between life and death, in which, perhaps, death gained the victory. As, within the blink of an eye, another gunshot was fired from the right side, and Mian turned blood red on her calf.

They wanted to cripple her first so that she couldn't escape!

Without five seconds apart, the fourth one had been fired on her arm, rending the night air.

She willed herself not to cry, but that seemed unfeasible now.

A cry of extreme physical agony left her mouth, a puddle of crimson blood pooled around her feet. She couldn't hold on anymore! All the blood already left her body, forming a little ocean on the hungry sands, which sucked it all instantly.

Mian was on the verge of losing her last shred of consciousness; however, just then, the place was permeated with danger signals denoting the group of military working straightly under her husband. The seabeach flared-up with four gunshots and all her assailants hit the ground.

Those special force, shuffled along with heavy feet, and girded the whole territory.

Mian didn't know, how he caught her in his arms, and when she fell; her consciousness was coming and going.

"Don't close your eyes! Mian, keep your eyes open!" He stared down at her, his eyes full of pain.

Everything was turning black and blurry for Mian. However, his voice forestalled her from admitting defeat against the pain. Exhausting her last bit of energy, she coerced her eyelids not to drop.

Mian looked up at him in defiance of her apparent pain, and actually smiled. "Babe, you came...I am glad to see you for the last time this close." She drew a sharp breath, as even uttering those few words caused her great deal of pain. However, she forced herself to stay, "Can you do me a favour? The last one… tell my mommy, and daddy that I love them. Also, tell my sister, I will miss her. Buy my nephew a gift on my behalf, will you?"

"Shut up! Nothing will happen to you! You aren't going anywhere leaving me! You are mine to decide everything for you, even your death! Understand?!" He roared, gulping the lump in his throat. Despite trying hard to choke back his tears, they spilled over at the depth of her pain.

Tears formed in everyone's eyes at the miserable condition of their Madam.
