I started my conversation with Markus in order to distract myself from reality.
""Well congratulations mialdy, that's a first""
Markus who's sitting next to me, sarcastically replied and clapped his hands.
"HA HA HA very funny, can you take this seriously?"
Being annoyed, I responded to his sarcasm with a frown.
""I don't know…are you taking it seriously milady?""
Markus retorted, referring to the fact that I was being inattentive in the etiquette class we're currently taking.

I was silent since I didn't have a good retort for that.

I said, admitting my defeat.
