Even though it was very late, Sophia knew that she had to make things clear with her father or else she will never truly get anywhere.
"Father, are you still awake? There's something I need to discuss with you"
She knocked on the door to his office and asked for permission to enter.
(I don't hear anyone talking so Markus must have left already...this will be the perfect opportunity, since Markus is not here I will be face-to-face alone with just my father—If you can't walk without people holding your hand, you can't survive in the nobles society. Even more so since people like me are the most favored targets of evil nobles)
