Sophia initially thought that the darkening of her vision was due to her nearly fainting. But soon realized that her non-visual senses were still normal as she could still feel the warmth of Mira's hand that were clutching hers ever since everything turned black as well as Luke's presence, someone's scream, and the wind blowing in and a scorching smell.
There were only a limited number of bright things in the dark. The brilliance of majestic Blue that overflowed from the body of the the imperial prince, who was who was standing in the middle of the children and the same light overflowing from the emperor, who was standing on the stone steps as well as the various faint light that the swords of the male noble children were like Luke were giving off.
