Chereads / Kidnapped For the Crown Prince / Chapter 61 - Who's Telling The Truth

Chapter 61 - Who's Telling The Truth

THIRD PERSON POV

Ever since Amelia arrived in the Alpha Kingdom after King Sorin threatened Princess Tellusia's loved ones into fulfilling his plan, the Alpha King's been feeling ecstatic. His plans are going smoothly... no, it's going perfectly. It's as if the gods — oh if only the king believes in gods — have blest his goal of becoming the King of the world.

When he saw Amelia, his beautiful sweet innocent niece who holds a power that might be equal to the Lorcan's, he can't resist but to hold her. The short span of time when she was in his arms was the best second he had in his whole life. He can sense her power overflowing in her delicate veins beneath her pale soft skin.

It was already a miracle that his plan was finished half-way.

He thought that the minute he used his sister to kill Queen Elena, he'll be found by the Gathrin Kingdom, but it turns out, he was far better mastermind than he expected to be. He laid out all his cards and used all of it to hide his agenda and identity behind small traces that only lead the Gathrin into a dead end.

He expected Atticus, Queen Elena's loyal knight, and his sister's husband, to confess what his sister has done. Yet, he hid everything in his guilty soul. Even Queen Elena participated well in his play. She could've saved herself that night if only she killed his sister and let the assassins take Amelia.

There were only two goals that night, yet only one was accomplished. First was to kill Queen Elena using his sister who they put under a spell, and two, take Amelia away.

It was already obvious that Amelia has great power even at a young age. Yet her parents took a blind eye and expected to have a peaceful life in the Gathrin Kingdom.

King Sorin has fought hard battles which he started and ended.

It started when he found out that his sister, Rose Claire, also known as Tanya, was the heir to the throne instead of him, a man.

He did his best to outstand his big sister, both in power and knowledge; yet he was still defeated. He knew a woman could never possibly lead a kingdom, he sees them as weak and too soft for leadership, she'll only bring the Alpha Kingdom to dust.

That's why, before Tanya was even crowned, he started a fire in her room. He was standing by the door, watching as his fires spread while Tanya was sleeping soundly.

Panic rushed through Tanya's body when she woke up, suffocated by the smoke and blinded by the light from the fire. Servants were alarmed, knights ran to her room along with their aged father, while Sorin pretended as if he was worried and screamed for everyone to hurry, but under his terrified expression was his power that makes the fire much bigger.

He wanted everyone to see Tanya die in the fire. He wanted her to die with the same power that runs through her blood.

Fear was the only thing that Tanya collected as she finds a way out of her burning room, and without a second thought, the idea that using her fire will make it stop snap. It was stupid of her to use her power to control the fire spreading in her room since she thought it wasn't being controlled by someone else. Until now, she hates thinking of that idea which leads to her hand burning.

Luckily, the knights were able to stop the fire with water before Tanya was fully succumbed by Sorin's fire. Only her hand was burned, yet it made her realize who started the fire.

She ran away the day from Sorin and stumbled upon Queen Elena, an old friend, and Atticus, who she married.

She thought she was safe from her little brother, yet eyes were watching her every move as she was a big part of Sorin's plan.

He let her and Atticus have a short peaceful life in the human world until he took back his sister after he found out that she was pregnant. Sorin planned to raise the child under his rules if he is as strong as Amelia, yet the child, Kai, was less strong than his big sister. He is just another pawn.

After Atticus came back to their world, leaving Amelia in the human world, Sorin knew exactly how to take back Amelia to his palm. Just let the father find where his wife and son are, use him as a puppet, scare them, and finally, they'll take their daughter back with them.

Keeping the whole family was the easiest way to take Amelia, his only way to success.

Now that Amelia's in his hands, he can fully control her. He can use her to burn everyone that stands in his way. With her great power, claiming the world as his is simple.

But the other party was definitely not letting Sorin take a good rest after having a short victory. As the king who loves controlling everything, of course, he knows if another foreign power enters his kingdom.

That night Dewdrop visited Amelia's dream, King Sorin heard what the fairy told his niece. He knew they're trying to bring back her memories that will disrupt his plans in taking over Amelia, but he just let that fairy tell her as much as she can because he knows how to perfectly ruin words that she said.

He won't let anyone get in his way, not now, not ever.

The plans of terrorizing other kingdoms, manipulating them, and destroying them won't go to waste just because Amelia gets to remember her love for Prince Forest, one of the hindrances in his goal.

He knew exactly how to break a fragile unsure heart of a young lady.

The night of the ball for Amelia, King Sorin ordered a wizard to create a spell to make him look exactly like Prince Forest. It only took a second for the wizard to transform King Sorin after Prince Forest arrived, making him look like the Prince while wearing the same clothes to avoid suspicion.

It was easy to break Amelia's heart. It was obvious that she was expecting Prince Forest to clear up her confusion and explain to her what their relationship was.

Right after Amelia went out of her room, wearing the silver gown that King Sorin gave her, he waited for her in a dark hallway leading to the hall with his face and clothes exactly like the young Prince charming.

Amelia recognized him the moment she met his beautiful eyes and fluffy hair, making King Sorin smirk in his thoughts. He can't believe she was this infatuated with this pathetic face.

"Hi."

It only took a short useless word from him to make Amelia smile like an idiot. Her cheeks were burning red, and she was clenching her skirt in embarrassment.

It was definitely easy to break her. And once her heart's all broken in pieces, it'll be King Sorin's turn to mend it into a beautiful dangerous disaster.

"Can you tell me about my past?" Amelia asked as he walks towards her.

It irritates King Sorin that his sweet niece gets flustered by his enemy this easily when she looks at her uncle as if he's a speck of dust she wants to sweep away.

"Let's go inside this room," King Sorin said as he turns the doorknob of the room beside Amelia, "It's dangerous if someone hears us talking about your past."

Without a second thought, Amelia nodded and followed him in the room. King Sorin thought that love truly turns anyone pathetic and ignorant. How can she easily follow a man in a dark room?

He locked the door, watched as Amelia walks towards the window which shows the full moon above the sky while the faint music from the hall can be heard.

King Sorin walked towards her with his shadows reflecting Prince Forest's stance.

He softly held her arm, stared into Amelia's eyes, and there he saw how in love she was. She was longing for the Prince even though she can't remember him.

"Dewdrop said that we, uh," Amelia blushed and looked away, "Were something..." she whispered behind her embarrassment.

"Yes," King Sorin answered, "We were something. You were my woman," he growled as he leans to her neck.

Even though Amelia felt something was off, she brushed it off. She can't react negatively just because of a feeling. She can't remember him clearly, but if her memories are right, this man in front of her is someone she can trust.

She let his hand travel from her arm down to her hand, still, even with a tint of suspicion and fear, she let him hold her, thinking that maybe this was how they usually act towards each other.

Yet as he acts more disapprovingly, she stepped away with furrowed brows. However, King Sorin pulled her and touched her shoulders, pulling down her sleeves as she struggles to be free from his arms.

"What are you doing? They said you can help us. I thought you were..." Amelia broke into tears as her hands began to shake.

King Sorin scoffed, with Prince Forest's face, he smiled like a demon while he laid his lips into Amelia's shoulder, "What you thought was wrong. That is why King Sorin took you from me, to save you. Everyone's lying to you. But I know you'll go back to me, that is what you want, right?"

"No, I don't want you or anyone..." Amelia shivered in fear, yet she was able to push King Sorin away, making her sleeve get torn.

She headed towards the door, but King Sorin was able to pull her hair, messing her beautiful curls. She yelped in pain, but she kept on walking with her hand reaching for the doorknob.

"They shouldn't have erased your memory, especially the time when you offered your body to me," King Sorin laughed exactly like how Prince Forest would if he was a crazy psycho just like him, that wizard who created a spell was really great, King Sorin thought of awarding him later, "You were screaming in pleasure, Amelia."

With Amelia's innocence, King Sorin knew that what he said will break her.

Amelia froze for a second after hearing those indecent words about her with tears flowing from her eyes. She thought Prince Forest was her savior, her love, but why is he like this? Was Dewdrop lying? But what about her parent's words about the Prince? Are they also lying? Her mind came to a rumble yet she was able to kick him on his leg and opened the door and ran away.

Her heels did leave King Sorin a great deal of pain, but at least now, Amelia wouldn't think about Prince Forest saving her since he already tainted his identity. He's no longer her love, now she'll think of him as an enemy, someone she'd want to disappear.

As Amelia's heels echoed around the hall, King Sorin's appearance went back. He's no longer wearing Prince Forest's face when he left the room.

Amelia, still with tears running down her face, found herself lost in the middle of another dark hallway.

"What is happening? Why was he like that? I thought he loves me..." Her knee grew weak from fear that only finally crept through her body, "Who's telling the truth now?" she whispered as she fell down on the ground.

She took a couple of breaths, but when she heard someone walking from behind, she stood up and ran, only to find herself standing in front of the same man earlier.

The real Prince Forest was staring at her with a slight smile forming in his face. Yet instead of the same emotion she felt earlier, hatred rushed to her veins. Fire suddenly appeared on her palms as well as on the ground when she felt her anger rising, "You pervert, I can't believe I thought you can help me," she said under her breath as she glares on Prince Forest.
