Chapter 22 - Panic

Timo was furious with the sudden turn of events. Ever since the release of that false news he had not been able to get away from paparazzi hounding their agency building.

He desperately wanted to be beside Shew and clear the misunderstanding (if any) but he knew better than to pull her in this mess.

The world of the spotlight was beautiful for the people who looked from outside but it was a total hell hole for those who lived in it.

Distinguishing people from real to fake was a difficult thing. In this industry, most people were wolves in sheep's clothing. They twisted the truth to suit their interests.

Sighing in irritation Timo once again ran his hands through his hairs

It was absolutely impossible for them to leave the building. It was being hoarded by media like a group of dogs fighting for a piece of fresh juicy meat.

There were rumours from Timo proposing to Rumi in a total vintage style to them already being married by eloping to Vegas.

Vic and Kai were having great fun at his expense but he knew they were only trying to cheer him up.

Once more he tried to call her but he was again directed to the voicemail. Frustrated he threw his phone to the wall and within a blink of an eye, it shattered to pieces.

"Easy there, bro," Ray said cautiously.

"I can't bloody get in touch with her." Timo ran a hand through his hairs once again. He was this close from pulling on them.

"That doesn't mean you have to break things." Mui tried to reason.

Tim sighed, "I know."

"You know that this isn't going to cool down soon even after you release your official statement, right?" Ray voiced his honest opinion. People were going to chew on this piece of rumour until the bones disappeared.

"I know that too." Timo cried out exasperated, "What do you want me to do then? Sit around here and wait?"

"You have no other option." Mui shrugged.

"I just want to talk once with Shew," Timo gulped, "I-"

He was terrified. What if she didn't even want to see his face after this?

"Calm down bro." Vic patted his shoulder, "She will understand."

"Knowing her she wouldn't even know about this." Kai tried to calm Timo's nerves.

"Uh-oh!" Mui frowned looking at his phone.

Everyone turned to look at him, "What is it now?" Ray was the first to speak.

"It's Lisa." His frown deepened, "She is probably calling to bite brig bro's head off."

Shrugging off the unease Mui answered the call, "Hello?"

....

"What?"

....

"Oh! That's definitely not good."

...

"I will get back to you later." He hung up looking more troubled than before, "Your bad luck is rotten brother." He looked sympathetically at Timo.

"Why?" Kai didn't like the look on his face.

Mui took in a long breath before answering, "Lisa told me that Shew had come to visit her and there she got to know about this scandal. She took off really upset and now Lisa is unable to reach her."

Timo was shocked.

At first, he was only annoyed but now he was beyond scared.

After a few moments panic set in. He was going to miss the only chance he had with the girl he truly felt something for.

He got up from his chair with a start. He ran to the door and was even ready to run around the whole town searching for her. He was going to find her and beg on his knees if that's what it was going to take her to forgive him.

He was fortunately stopped by Kai and Ray.

"Hold it together," Ray tried to calm him, "There is a swarm of paparazzi out there."

"They are vultures, get a hold on yourself." Kai joined in, "We will find Shew but like this, you will mess things up than they already are."

Timo was crazed, "I want to speak to her." Nothing else mattered to him at that moment.

Timo was preparing to punch his brother's to escape their hold. The shrill ring of Ray's phone cut through his fogged up brain clearing it a little.
