Inspector Han began to have a headache. The helpless girl whom he had seen three years ago was nowhere to be seen. He couldn't understand how she was able to meet influential people in such a short amount of time. Did she even need a recommendation letter from him? He doubted it.
He let out a deep breath and agreed to her request, "Fine, you can go for a week. If you remember something, don't hesitate to inform me"
"Sure, no problem." Xue Lin stood up. She was here for too long. She needed to see her husband now.
She went to the entrance and waited for the constable who was supposed to drive her to the hospital. While she was waiting, she unexpectedly met the forensic doctor Yuren.
"I see you haven't left yet," he remarked.
Xue Lin answered, "No, I'm waiting for my chaperone."
He stood beside her and asked, "That culprit was your cousin, wasn't he?"
"Yes, he was," Xue Lin nodded while looking at the garden in front of the police station.
