"Qi Bingwen, you shameless devil! You dare bite the hand that fed you?!"
The loud roar was from a bloodied middle-aged man whose body was littered with wounds, big and small. He was holding a sword but it was no longer pointing at the enemy, instead, his sword arm was limp. His non-dominated hand held onto the arm but it couldn't hide the deep wound that had been inflicted on his forearm. It seemed he could not use his sword anymore, for a martial artist losing the ability to wield their weapon in battle would only mean certain death.
"Father, step back, you're in no condition to continue. I'll deal with him."
Another man stepped in front of him, the man was young and handsome, just a glance and one would be able to see that he was talented but his condition now was poor. Only a bit better than the middle-aged man, his clothes were bloody and it was easy to spot a few places where he had suffered deep wounds but there was no time for him to treat those wounds.
His eyes were full of vigilance and it was all aimed at the man in front of them, he stood with his back against the white moonlight causing his appearance to be drenched in darkness. At that moment, he truly looked like a devil, his shadow loomed over them, waiting for a chance to devour them all.
The man approached them slowly, the sword in his hand was held casually and his stance was full of openings but Su Zhengsheng knew he couldn't underestimate him, his grip on his sword felt shaky, he couldn't maintain his calm. Qi Bingwen was a monster, he alone was able to deal with the four of them, his elder sister and second brother had both been cut down by him. Their life and death were unknown. His father, who had the highest level of martial arts in their family, was beaten until he could no longer hold his sword.
Su Zhengsheng had no confidence that he could beat him, even now there wasn't a single wound on Qi Bingwen's body. His deep red clothes were still neat as though he hadn't engaged in a fierce battle at all.
But even if this battle was impossible, he could only clench his fist harder. He knew he wouldn't be able to survive to the next day but he could stall Qi Bingwen here, long enough that his younger sister might be able to escape.
He lifted his sword once again. 'Su Liling, you must live, you must escape. After tonight, Older Brother won't be able to protect you anymore.'

Qi Bingwen was bored, this battle was barely able to entertain him, he had only fought this long to draw out his revenge but the satisfaction he expected from claiming his vengeance never came.
He glanced at the room he was in, this was the fu's main hall, the first day he set foot in this estate he had to kowtow to the Su Patriarch here. He didn't have many thoughts back then, only hoping for shelter from the rain and rice to eat.
He couldn't have known how those days would turn out, for many years he loathed this fu, every servant that insulted him, every master that abused him. He wanted their lives, no, he wasn't satisfied with just their lives, he wanted to pluck their eyes out, cut their tongues, break their limbs and turn them into human swine. He wanted them to suffer for the rest of their days, unable to live as well as an animal.
That year when he left the fu, he had sworn to get revenge but now that he was here, there wasn't a single one that could reach his eyes.
Before the Su Family had been as tall as the sky in his eyes because they were his only adversaries but what hadn't he experienced in these years? He turned to look at the Su Patriarch who had fallen to his knees behind Su Zhengsheng, they were so pathetic now, they were no longer worth his thoughts.
He didn't want to waste any more time on them, it should be enough to kill them.
With that decided, his steps were no longer slow, he moved his sword to slice the father and son at once.
His stance changed so quickly and his sword moved so fast that Su Zhengsheng couldn't see it, he wanted to raise his sword to block but was still a step slower than Qi Bingwen.
He knew that this was going to be his death but before he could feel the blade slicing through his neck, there was the loud sound of metal grinding against metal.
The sword was blocked!
Su Zhengsheng turned to see who had stepped in and saved him, his eyes widened in shock. This! This was his precious younger sister, she was able to block Qi Bingwen's serious attack?!
The Su Liling that stood in front of Su Zhengsheng was breathtaking, her white dress painted a striking contrast against Qi Bingwen's blood-red clothes, her expression showed no fear. Instead, she looked just as composed as always, even the sword she held was steady and she did not back down when she met Qi Bingwen's eyes.
Su Zhengsheng was amazed, he knew his younger sister was good but he only realized how good she was now. What outsiders said was true, his younger sister had an unparalleled temperament, exuding wisdom and cultivating serenity.
Su Zhengsheng could only think so much because he could not hear what Lin Qiuyue was shouting to her system.
"Fuck! My arms are shaking so much, they're about to turn into limp noodles! What did this devil eat, how is his blow so heavy?!"
