Chapter 4 - Equal Exchange

=== The Heavens ===

After the work time, Little G ( That's gonna be his name) was drinking on a divine bar, with a divine cup of divine whiskey on his hand, when another divine being approached, with a serious gaze and grinning mouth, his white silhouette obscuring any chance to actually have his true semblance shown to all. The silhouette had not said anything, just sat at the bar stool and pointed at a bottle. After getting his drink, looked into Little G's eyes and held the gaze, waiting for an explanation. Little G, knowing that there was no other way, sighed away his tiredness, rubbed his eyes and told the happenings of how it began. Getting what it wanted, the silhouette downed his drink, got up and left, with only 5 words behind.

"I will see for myself."

=== Earth ===

After years of watching, the silhouette decided it was time to actually intervene in what is his right. In the same night the decision was made, the silhouette met a boy inside his dreams.

Said boy was happily dreaming of his future when everything froze, and white washed away his vision. Scared, fascinated and curious at the happening, the boy wandered at the white landscape, marveling at what moments ago was his mindscape. Tired of finding nothing, the boy decided to sit and wait for the reasons to actually show themselves, when laughing was heard behind him. Turning around, he met a thing (?) with human silhouette, pure white, with an impossibly grinning mouth, and eyes that doesn't makes sense when viewed from the 3rd dimension. Remembering what said characteristics held together to actually compose, the boy looked at the being's eyes, and asked with as much calm and conviction one could have when meeting a god that personified his beliefs.

"I did expect meeting you one day, just never that I would not be the one seeking the other. What do I owe the visit for, sir?"

"I've watched you, boy. Your gift was given without my knowledge, and I came to see it's actual situation"

A bit scared of what the meaning of such answer may result at the end, the boy braved forward, in an almost desperate quest for answers.

"And what is the result, sir? And if I may, what do I do to actually make myself worthy?"

The next seconds, the only answer he got was the grinning getting even bigger, while the shine in the impossible eyes darkened at such point that no light could be seen at the surroundings, even though the being's semblance held still the void white that is known for.

"Make an exchange with me, boy. Follow the rules, and all shall be made right."

The boy thought about the offer. And wanted to accept, though being risky, and more likely to hold dangers, the beings fame for holding his deals true to the fundamental rule still preceded him. And so he asked.

" I want to. But I previously made a deal with a god, and now I owe him a favor in my most successful future. I can't make an exchange with you, sir, for the thing that binds me to the deal is already mine. So I ask for an extension. I offer you not a favor, but my friendship. In the future, be in this life or the next, when I actually reach the same height that you do, I will be by your side, and not just for a one time deal. In exchange, I ask for freedom. Let me use your gifts with no bindings, no limits. Let me be a true Alchemist, instead of playing around with supercharged drawings."

The white being only looked back, waiting, thinking, while his eyes held such seriousness that should not be possible with the amount of shining light that escaped it. His mouth opened for the first time, to actually talk instead of projecting a voice over his smile.

" If that is your offer, I accept, my friend. But remember, that I will make sure that our deal is made true, for as long as i exist. If one day, this deal is made unequal, the values are to be adjusted, or the bindings will be undone."

With that said , the silhouette turned back and walked, his body vanishing in the same colored dreamscape horizon. Before vanishing, he was asked one more question by his mostly new, and interesting friend.

"Wait! If- if we are really friends, then how do I call you? Do you have a real na-"

"Truth. That's my name for that's who I am."
