(Third moon 3rd day, Year 450 of the Lu calendar, Ancient China.)
"Edrit, remain calm, you'll be fine!" A man with wolf ears exclaimed in panic as lightning and rain shot down to the ground. "Elmer, get your mother inside the cellar, quickly!" The purple haired wolfman exclaimed to a teenage wolfman.
"Yes Father!" The boy responded as he picked up his mother, who was going into labor, off the carriage.
"Good son!" The boy's father said as a whip cracked and lightning flung right by the carriage. The man's expression changed. "Humans are attacking, prepare the defenses Lieutenant!" The wolfman said looking back.
"Yes Lord Raeloph!" the Lieutenant responded swiftly as he carried out his orders. Several soldiers shuffle around on the walls to a large village, preparing various tools and weapons. "Lord Raeloph, the defenses are prepared!" The Lieutenant said in a loud voice.
"Good! I will check on my wife now, you defend the city!" Raeloph yelled as he entered the village. "Close the gates now!" Raeloph commanded.
"Yes sir!" A number of troops responded as they closed the gates, rain falling even harder than before.
A woman walked out of the bushes next to the road. "Mu Yu Elite Sect members, come out!" She yelled in a commanding tone as she cracked her whip and sparked lightning from the tip sending a bolt flying towards the gate. When the lightning hit the gate it dispersed amongst the metal, electrically charging it.
"Men, fire the discharge!" The Lieutenant commanded as more people came from the bushes. A few men walked around on the walls, pulling levers and sending energy through some crystals. Once they were done an enormous charge built off the gate and went straight towards the woman.
The woman easily dodged the lightning and smirked. "Bouncing attacks, really? Is that all you beasts got?" The woman said, clearly taunting them. her face changed and she began to frown with disdain as she charged her whip to attack again.
'Our clan's last stronghold cannot, in any circumstances fall!' The lieutenant thought to himself as he pushed in a stone brick making a lever appear. The lieutenant pulled the lever, making several copper spikes appear from the ground just outside the wall.
The woman swung her whip with fierce strength and caused a massive bolt of lightning to form, however, instead of going to the wall as she had wanted it to, it shifted towards the copper spikes, being absorbed. "That all you got Mu Yu 'Elite' sect members?" The lieutenant taunted at the Mu Yu Sect members.
The woman grunted. "I am Xiao Li, of the Mu Yu Sect, do not forget me, for I will be back!" The woman said in frustration, understanding she will not be able to bypass the cities defences. The woman motioned each of her junior sect members to follow her and they disappeared in an instant.
The Lieutenant started writing on a piece of parchment, it read. "Shangdi, women yijing chenggong de ji tuile zhe ci xiji, danshi renlei faqi ling yici xiji zhishi shijian wanti. Wo qing ni yunxu wo rang women de yanjiu renyuan yanjiu shiyong shandian zuowei wuqi de xin fangfa." The Lieutenant handed the parchment to a low ranking soldier and said. "Send this to Lord Raeloph immediately!"
As the soldier entered the house he could hear a child crying from the cellar, so he swiftly found the door and entered. "Lord Raeloph! A note fo-" The soldier started, but stopped midway through. "T-twins? M-my Lord, twins are a sign of-" The soldier was saying as he was cut off.
"You will speak of this matter to no one, am I understood?" Raeloph said with anger blistering in his eyes, taking the note from the soldiers hand.
"Y-yes sir..." The soldier said weakly with fear in his voice.
"Elmer, Edrit, the boy was never born, am I understood?" Raeloph asked the two and both of them nodded. "Good, then name the both of them." Raeloph added.
"The boy... I-I mean, Th-the one that is to never be seen or heard by anyone outside our family, their name is Alphonse from now on..." Edrit said as tears began to form. "And the girl, her name is Cedra." Edrit said, attempting to hold her emotions. The two children were wrapped in cloth blankets and taken into the main house, up into a room and placed in a crib.
