Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18: GRADUATION

CADENCE P.O.V

After that day, we spent in my house; Jaron was still hooking up random girls in and out of our school. I used to it because even if I wanted something more on him. He sure cannot give it to me what I want. I try to focus on my studies more since graduation and college in now around the corner.

I do not want to waste my time emotionally on him. I know I should not be feeling more on him. I control my emotion not to bother about him.

Donna and Clare knew what my feelings for him and gladly they never against it. They knew me well when to control but that does not mean I stop loving him from a far.

Yes, I am fallen in love with him as the days goes by. With our snuggling, making out and sex I have feelings for him and about him, I do not know.

Well, as I said I always saw him with others. The reality hurts, but what can I do. I do not like confessing him first what I feel. He might laugh at me.

Graduation came, my parents attended it. They gave their time on me. As I go up the stage. They were very proud of me as I achieved my goals. I graduated with highest honors in our batch.

As for Jaron, he got an honor too just like me. I met his mother too.

"Oh dear! You must be Cadence." Mrs. Davies said as she hugged. "You are so beautiful young lady."

I smiled at her while Jaron was just watching us, smiling too. I did not know our parents and his parents were acquainted with each other.

Picture taking never left on that day. I already got my pictures with my parents, friends, teacher and the whole class. I even got a picture with Jaron alone and with our both parents too.

My two best friends did many works with it even a stolen one with just the two of us. Many actually without us knowing.

My parents let me celebrates it with my friends as soon as the events ended. They even gave me some graduation money that I never expected them. Yes, graduation money that really can add with my savings and I was happy with it.

Jaron came to me after talking to his mother. His father was not in the country on the day of graduation because of some business engagement he cannot cancel.

"Hey, there is a party in Tony tonight at his place. Are you going?" Jaron asked me. "Or you have other plan for tonight?"

"Well, I do not have plans for tonight since my parents will leave again tonight. So, no, I will be there I am sure Clare and Donna will be going to be there too." I replied.

"Okay, then I will pick you up and we will go together." He kissed my cheek then left to go to his friends. Donna and Clare came to me and smiled maliciously.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing that you could tell that you will not love it." Clare grinned with twinkle in her eyes.

"Oh, come on. You know what it looks like to us. And I should just save my moments with him since we all go off to different colleges." I told them in a lower tone.

"Why did you not ask him about college? Maybe you two can have the same school just like us." Donna said.

I sighed and shook my head to them.

"Well, and foremost, we cannot be together because I know he will never be in the same school with us." I murmured. "Besides, it is better to let us be on our own way. Maybe one day, just one day our paths will cross again unexpectedly."

True, I can feel that he has a big plan going to be in good university. We never discuss about school but I am sure it is not in my school.

"You never know that and you just afraid to know." Clare added as we walked towards the parking lot of the school.

"Maybe, I was afraid to know what school he will go but to think it would be better for us, for me. So that I can move on with my life without him." I gave them a small smile on my lips. I am afraid to take risks with his future. I am afraid that we will end bad. I do not want that to happen.

We jumped into Donna's car to celebrate together for just a couple of hours before Tony's party.

My two best friends did not go further our topics. This is not the time to be sentimental. Today is so perfect to enjoy the moment.
