All the pieces of Xinyi's plan was starting to fall into place. Takashi bought a space for their faction,Selene was in charge of building and decorating it,while Xinyi was in charge of recruiting new members. Everything was going smoothly except for the fact that finding new members was proving to be difficult. Xinyi would stand outside of popular shops and marketplaces handing out flyers, but nothing seemed to be working. Starting as a new faction is hard, you have to find new members, get donations from members, and then have to worry about other factions. Though Xinyi knew this from the start and she refused to give up hope. She eventually called Takashi to help her and once he showed up a few people took interest. Xinyi said to herself, "Why didn't I think of this before,Takashi is pretty much a magnet for people!" By the end of the day Takashi had gotten at least 40 people to take interest in the faction. "Xinyi! Selene! We have some people that are interested!" The cheerful Takashi yelled. All three of them were elated with joy and decided to head out to a local bar to celebrate their good news. "Hey,I know it's still a little early to be getting emotional, but I just want to say thanks to the both of you," the emotional Xinyi said. "Awwwwww! Xinyi! You're so welcome!" Both Selene and Takashi yelled. Xinyi picking up her glass said,"Cheers to friendship and our new faction!" "Cheers!" All three yelled. By the end of the night all three had a blast and had gone home. Though Xinyi felt as if something was wrong, but she just brushed it off thinking it was the alcohol talking. The next morning when she headed towards the faction doors where Takashi ,with his head in his hands, had been sitting looking distressed. Xinyi being nervous by the sight decided to ask him what was wrong,"Takashi! Are you okay?! What happened?!" Takashi looking defeated slowly handed her the crumpled up paper he had hidden in his hands so Xinyi wouldn't notice. Xinyi quickly read the paper and she had felt her heart drop. The paper was a warning from Emperor Ling himself...it stated that if they could not have a running faction,30 active members, and at least one elite by the end of the week they would have no choice but to give up the faction. Xinyi sent Takashi to get Selene and told him to bring himself and Selene to her office. After about fifteen minutes the two had returned and headed into the office. "What do you think she'll talk to us about?" A nervous Takashi whispered. Selene, having no clue what he was talking about, replied " I don't even know what's wrong!" Thankfully they had reached the office doors, saving Takashi from breaking the news to Selene. Warily the two headed into the office to face an anxiety filled Xinyi. Xinyi noticing the two were finally here spoke up, "Welcome you two I'd say have a seat, but you might not want to sit on a cold hard floor... as you both know-" "Actually Xinyi I have no clue what's happening here...Takashi didn't tell me a thing on the way here." Whispered Selene. Xinyi eyed Takashi knowing that she told him to inform Selene. "Uh-well...you see..." Takashi stuttered. Xinyi still eyeing him replied with "It's fine I'll inform her now." "Selene what Takashi was meant to tell you is that the faction received a warning from Emperor Ling stating that if we didn't have a running faction, 30 active members, and at least one elite by the end of the week the faction would close," a disappointed Xinyi said. "Oh" was all that Selene could reply with as she was in such shock. "It's alright though! Don't you say that just the other day that Takashi had gotten the attention of at least 40 people?" Selene said hopefully. "Yes he did, but most of them were women and I think that they were just interested in Takashi not the actual faction itself..." said a defeated Xinyi. Takashi only now realizing that most of them were women interested in him mumbled an apology. Selene was a little disappointed in hearing that most of the people were just interested for Takashi seeing as how they didn't have any members and she may have a small crush on Takashi. They were business partners and the most important thing at the moment was the faction not her pathetic love life. ~To Be Continued~
