Chapter 9 - ~ Clearly, She A Idiot ~

Beams of sunlight slowly crept through the slits of the transparent glass windows, peeking through thin white curtains, illuminating the darkened room before caressing the plump face of a figure lying supine on the bed, the sheet tangled around the legs.

The figure rolled to the side and squinted its eyes, brows furrowed. It released a low breath, moved back to the supine position, and patted the space beside it on the right, but the hand came up empty. The figure stared up at the ceiling, pondered a bit, and then shoved a hand beneath the pillow cushioning its head. Great, its cellphone was still there. Turning its head, the figure gazed across to the opposite side of the room solemnly taking in the empty bed and the rumpled sheets.

Clank!

Hearing the sound, the figure's gaze rapidly switched to the room door and it stilled until the sound died down. Holding its breath, it then quietly moved the entangled sheet and swung its legs over to sit on the edge of the bed. It focused its dark gaze on the bedroom door, head tilted slightly, ears attuned for any other sounds. Resting its feet on the tiled floor, the figure sneakily tip-toed towards the partially opened door, heels up, and peeked through the slit. At the sight that met the eyes, the figure's face twisted and pulled back into a knowing smirk.

'Look at this goody-two-shoes,' it thought with a smile, the eyes narrowed.

The figure hungrily ate up the sight of Jared leaning over Jordan, his smooth skin and the curve of his spine. The gaze lingered on the towel around his waist before drinking in the sight of Jordan whispering and smacking at his shoulders.

Haha

Haha, the figure laughed inwardly.

Look at this fool. Hah!

Backing away, the figure quietly closed the room door before tip-toeing back to the bed. It reached for the cellphone beneath the pillow with shaky fingers, the excitement in its demeanor was palpable.

Planting its ample butt firmly on the edge of the bed, it quickly sent a WhatsApp message to the group with her girlfriends.

'Guys, you not gonna believe what I just saw!!'

"Jordan and Jared were so close, they could've been kissing ¬‿¬ somethings' going on, a bet you!"

"LOL!" a friend messaged back, "a joke, you joking!"

"I thought she was smarter than dat. Clearly, she a idiot."

The figure smiled widely as it took in the responses to the post. Its eyes narrowed in satisfaction. In their academic cohort, Jared had a fairly large following that extended to the virtual realm of social media. He was the quintessential tall, handsome dude. He played the guitar, he was fun, did I mention handsome?

But .... he belonged to everyone.

Known as a notorious pass-a-long who did not take anything or anyone seriously, Jared was a good time, not a long time. It's common sense that with a guy like him, you do not open your heart, just your legs. But as the saying goes, 'common sense ain't that common,' because here was the housemate swooning and blushing, it was honestly pretty funny. While the figure understood that Jordan was not a student of their university and would not be privy to Jared's many exploits with the opposite sex, she expected her to have a more discerning eye for men. Shouldn't she have a more discerning eye for men?

Closing the phone with a snap, the figure flopped unto the bed with a smile.

Ahem!

Withdrawing a knowing look, Shanique cleared her throat noisily, shifted, and picked up her phone nonchalantly, tapping away, pointedly ignoring the figure that came into the room.

Jordan stared at Shanique for a moment longer before striding to the chest of drawers that held both their clothes. Pulling open the top drawer, her gaze landed on the necklace that she had hung on the right knob of the third drawer that housed her tops and dresses. It was swinging slightly as if it had been touched. Weird, she mentally noted but threw the thought to the back of her mind.

She quickly snatched out a plain black T-shirt and tossed it to her bed. Moving quickly, she closed the drawer and then proceeded to dig into the basket at the side of her bed for a pair of regular yard jeans. She was not working that day and she needed to process what just happened with Jared but she could not do it under the prying eyes of her roommate.

After pulling out her underwear from a top drawer, she then grabbed a few skincare products, added them to the pile, and made her way to the bathroom, throwing a sidelong glance at Jared's door as she strode inside.

Naked, legs spreadeagled, Jordan supported her body with her left forearm braced against the tiled shower walls, facing the stream of water coming from the shower head. The water pounded down hard between her thin shoulders, but Jordan did not feel a thing. Her head spun and her mind was awash with thoughts of Jared's treasure trail, his skin, and the broad expanse of his muscled chest ... The slim fingers on her right hand worked furiously between her legs, rubbing, moving in, moving out, Aaah! as she focused on remembering the shape of his full lips and the way he looked at her bare legs.

Aaah! she moaned audibly but was drowned out by the sound of the water. Her walls clenched and her mind tried to replace her fingers with something a bit ... thicker but failed. She could not imagine it. Ah! It was freezing cold but her desire did not wane in the slightest. Her fingers moved madly as if they had a mind of their own. Her heart raced. Aaah! Hah! Her walls clenched and unclenched, in harmony with the movements but for the first time, she felt empty and unfulfilled. It was not enough. Her fingers were not enough. She was not enough.

Haaah, releasing a soft sigh, her movements slowed and her hand fell away into the stream of water. She gingerly washed the area but the slippery wetness seemed endless. Her mind had been titillated and her stroking only fueled the fire.

Turning the shower tap down, she lovingly soaped and caressed her body before washing clean. Stepping out of the bath, she reached for the clothes that she had placed on the vessel sink.

Ding!

She glanced over at the phone on the counter. A new message had arrived.

It was from her boyfriend, Kirk.
