"I will see what's going on at the other side. Teleport to our home immediately." Arlo commanded.
"Arlo, let me come with you." I said.
"No, you'll be hurt there." Arlo replied.
"Let us do that, Arlo. Father will need your healing ability to recover." Oceane insisted.
"Fine, but I'll need the others to come with me. Only the two of you will go there, alright?" Arlo said.
"Yes. Don't worry about us, we can handle this." I uttered.
"See you later then." Arlo uttered. Mason transported themselves using his phantasmal powers to our home.
We dashed towards the burnt forest caused by Serus. We encountered the injured parents of Rhys. We helped the mother get up, while the father is unconscious.
"Please save Rhys." the mother, Alicia, begged.
"Where is he?" I asked.
"At the sea." she responded.
"How did Rhys have that form?" asked Oceane.
"He is a natural deity. Please save him, he doesn't know what's his doing. I can't fight anymore. Help Serus too." she then fainted.
"Let's go, Oceane." I said.
We approached the nearby shore and saw the two legendary monsters fighting with each other.
"The Lord of the Seas is released! No one shall ever chain my presence again!" the Leviathan roared, enraged.
"Fool, I AM the Lord of the Seas. False deities like you shall bow down to me!" the techie octopus-like monster yelled. That must be Rhys in his true form.
Both howled as the ocean waved rapidly, releasing large tsunamis. They continued to battle each other.
"Let's help Serus." I said, but Oceane stopped me.
"Why, Oceane?" I asked.
"I don't think that's Serus, Grey." she said.
"What do you mean?"
"Can you feel his presence controlling that serpent?" she asked.
"....No." I answered.
"He's out of control too. He'll be defeated if he remained that way. We need to calm him down."
"How can we do that? Rhys is there, and he might interrupt us." I said.
"Well, there's no other way. Help Serus without him seeing you, otherwise, he'll just see you as his enemy too." she uttered.
"And what will you do?" I asked her.
"I will calm the seas." she replied. She dived under the sea.
I swiftly and stealthily dashed behind the octopus' and attacked it, but it didn't even seem to scratch it. I need to go all-out, but then it will draw the attention of the Leviathan. Well, she needed me to buy time.
"Noxia Fatum: Maximize!" I activated my Zenith, this lets me use the full power of our passive abilities which are speed, strength, and mobility. It gives me this grey aura surrounding me to protect me from any foreign magic and negate them.
I rushed with great speed from every direction and hit the octopus, and it was annoyed by it. It then tried to hit me with its enormous tentacles and even shoots his laser eyes. Instead, he hits the Leviathan, and now it is pissed off. The sea started to gather its fury, as if it is part of the Leviathan's being, which is really it. It then releases a colossal tsunami towards the Akkorokamui. The Akkorokamui controlled the sea as well, therefore it stopped the tsunamis.
"You're weak." the octopus beamed his laser eyes against him, and the tentacles rushed as well.
"GROOOAR!!!" the Leviathan roared out of pain. I couldn't help it. I guarded Serus, and accidentally released a wave. It hit Rhys, and he started to transform into a human again.
"What...did I just do?" I looked at my hands, confused of what have I just done. I heard a growl behind me.
"Grrrrah!" it tried to eat me. It flew to the nearby sea, and regained its strength there. Horizontal vortexes of water charged at me.
We fought a battle that I know I couldn't win, and yet I tried. Sooner or later my Zenith will tire, and I'll get eaten by Serus' uncontrollable monster inside of him. The Leviathan sent monstrous sea creatures to defeat me, but it's a good thing I'm on the ground.
Several hours passed by, and my Zenith eventually wore out. It caught me by using water tentacles, and will eat me. This is the only amount of time I can give Oceane, but I know she can calm that monster.
"Your wrath stops here, Leviathan." a water sphere levitated from the sea, and uttered.
"Are you challenging me?" the Leviathan howled in anger.
"I'm not here to challenge you. I'm here to conciliate your tremendous anger, for it will ruin the entire ocean." the voice replied.
"Brave, yet reckless. Who are you?" the Leviathan asked.
"I am Oceane Fatum, the entrusted friend of the sea, and I will do whatever it takes to save Serus." Oceane showed herself from the sphere, with sapphire blue eyes.
"Let me reward something great. There is no greater gift than death!" the Leviathan released me from its grasp and surged Oceane.
"Grey, help the family." she commanded.
"I will." I ran as fast as I could to the family's location. They were there, holding their son's body, and cried.
"I-I-I'm sorry....mom....dad." Rhys began to spit blood.
"Hush now, darling. We're here. We can help you start again." Alicia sobbed.
"S-sorry, mom. I can't. We have a curse, r-remember?"
"Shut up, son. W-we still need you. We can stop the curse, we can--" Alector cried.
"No dad. Hey Grey, I know you're there." Rhys called me in.
"I'm sorry for what Serus had gone through, but I did it for a r-reason."
"If that's the case, it better be a good enough reason for kidnapping my siblings and father." I said.
"The Alpha King, Mnemos, wants my experiment, but it isn't finish yet. There are more things and time I needed, but he tends to rush it for the war against you, the Fatum family. " he explained.
"That's absurd. We didn't wage war against you Telums." I said.
"No, you didn't, because he's the one waged war against you instead. I am supposed to spy from the inside, b-but I acted recklessly. I guess I really am a child. They threatened me that they'll go after my family, if I don't do what they wanted. So, instead, I needed your father's crystal abilities to hasten and empower my Typhon Residue. It's too late to destroy those, for it was already delivered to him already."
"Have you ever felt strange when you all see me? Of course not, but have you ever wondered what was truly happening?" Rhys continued.
"Rhys, what are you saying?" Alicia uttered, confused.
"I am not the one who acted on my own when we're under the sea and inside my laboratory. And Serus is the key to everything. His father isn't Duskaea, because he--" Rhys tentacles emerged from his back.
"AHHH!" the curse already began, the power will destroy its user when they are already defeated in battle.
"NO!" Alicia screamed, showing grief and pain. Rhys is now gone, after the tremendous suffering he had, his thrashed body turned to dust. What an awful curse they had.
The battle between Oceane and Leviathan caught my attention.
"This will end here, Leviathan." Oceane said.
"YOU WILL FACE MY WRATH!" the Leviathan bawled.
"Noxia Fatum: Tranquility." as soon as Oceane cast those words, the sea calmed from its rage and anger.
"Why can't I command the sea?! WHY?!" the Leviathan shouted.
"The sea had enough of your pointless raging, Leviathan. Now, let our friend go."
"I WILL NOT!" it yelled.
"Chains of Galene." multiple chains went forward to imprison the Leviathan.
"You will stay forever inside Serus, for he is now your master and no one else. You will listen to him, or you will suffer the calm seas' rage again." Oceane said.
"NO!" the Leviathan calmed, and started to deform. Serus came back, and Oceane brought him to us.
"Let's hurry, we don't want him to suffer more injuries." Oceane said, carrying Serus.
"Are you going to come with us?" I asked Alector and Alicia.
"For the wish of our son, and for us to defeat Mnemos, we'll go."
"Let's not waste our time here anymore." I said.
We rushed and headed over the sea, and there we surfed to our home. I hope Serus is okay, and I hope what that black-hooded man said isn't true.
