"John, what happen?" she shouted while they were all went out to see what happen.
No one responded. They all panicked. They all run towards John's car.
"We're okay," Gino said while he was outside of the car while others are still inside.
They all felt relieved. But they could see the shook on their faces. John and the others are panting of breath while still inside the car, even Gino.
"What happen?" she asked once again.
"I thought we hit a soldier--" Jinni responded when she was already conscious.
"What?" they all said in chorus.
"But we didn't." Jester said.
"But I thought I saw someone..." John said while still looking in front. He was still holding the steering wheel.
"What do you mean?" Chel asked out of curiosity.
"Me too," the others also said. Those who are in John's car.
"Wha-What?" she was confused. "You thought you saw it? What did you see? How about the soldier? Is he okay?"
They couldn't see any dead body or a soldier that passed by.
"While driving... we saw a soldier in front of the car. As if he was stuck in the middle of the road. I didn't see his face but I'm sure he saw as coming. But he didn't leave." John explained.
"As if he wants to hit by the car." Gino added.
"You mean, he wants to commit suicide?" Pao asked.
"I don't know." Jinni said.
"Where is he now?" she asked.
"He's gone." John said.
"What do you mean he is gone?" Jester said.
"You said you didn't hit him? Is he dead? Where is his body?" Rener panicked.
"No, no..." John said. "We didn't hit anyone."
"Then, why did you say he is gone?" Rita asked.
"When we shouted, I think we hit him. But when we stopped and Gino looked at his body. There is none. There is no body." Jinni explained. "Did we just imagine things? Maybe there is no one in there."
"I think you are just imagining things." Jas said.
There is no problem, so they all decided to go back inside the cars and continue driving.
"I think, we need to go back now. It was almost time." she said. She's feeling a little worried of something she doesn't really know why.
"What do you mean? It was just 3:00 a.m."
"What?" they all said. They've been to too many places already.
"Maybe we just thought we've been joyriding for too long. Maybe the night is still young and we are just enjoying too much." Dave said.
"Aren't it supposed to be fast since were having fun?" she asked while feeling nervous.
They all looked at her.
"What's wrong with you?" John said. "Do you have a fever?"
"No, no..." she was just feeling that something isn't right. She thought that a lot of things happened already but these people didn't noticed.
"You're just out of you mind, V. Let's just have fun again. Let's enjoy the moment together." Jinni said excitedly.
So they all just went back into the cars.
They start to drive once again.
Until she noticed Jem's face while sitting beside her. Chel and Dave are busy jamming in front.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
Jem was hesitant to answer.
"It's okay. You can tell me."
"I think I saw a soldier."
"What? You mean, they really hit a soldier?"
Jem shook her head and whisper a little. "They didn't hit him because he is already dead."
