Chapter 61 - Ending Ties

After the family dinner incident, Chen Corporations have announced that they will no longer collaborate with Yin Corporations after the current projects that they have in progress, completes. Hearing such news, Zin Leung felt devastated. Never in his dreams would he ever even think about ending business with the Chen family because they were one of the main investors that kept the company going. Without the Chen family's support, Yin Corporation's shares would drastically reduce.

In Zin Leung's perspective, the Chen family and Yin family went through waves and waves of obstacles in the past. Therefore, he always felt confident that the business relationship between both families would not end. He did not understand why asking for an apology and complaining to Chen Ting would end up this chaotic.

When news broke out to the public, Yin Corporations took a huge hit in the stock market and many clients have changed their mind on signing the contracts for upcoming projects. Zin Leung spent the past days trying to look for Chen Ting, but with no luck. Chen Ting purposely avoided his calls, so that only left Zin Leung one choice; pay Chen Corporations a visit.

While Yin Corps was facing a mess, Chen Mu was enjoying his homemade breakfast with Susu.

"Mmm... You make the best Passionfruit tea." Susu took a sip of the tea and closed her eyes, savoring the sweet and sour flavor of the fruit.

"And you make the best of everything." He smiled seeing her happiness over a simple cup of tea that he made for her.

"What a smooth talker. Heh. Hurry and finish your food or you'll be late for work." She reminded him that he had twenty minutes left for breakfast before he has to get ready for work.

"About that... my parents have decided to terminate all contracts and business ties with Yin Corps." He knew he had to tell her sooner or later, so he took up his courage to tell her about it now.

"Oh?" She continued sipping tea, seemingly unaffected by the news.

"Oh? Are you feeling alright with this decision?"

"Why wouldn't I be alright with it? This is business we're talking about. If Yin corps does not meet the standards to be Chen Corps' partner then it is for the better to terminate the contracts. In addition to that, I kind of have a feeling since way back that my father had used the Chen family's reputation as a way to step up in the business field. If I were you guys, I wouldn't continue investing in Yin Corps."

"Really, no hard feelings?" He had to ask twice because he cared a whole lot about her perspective on this topic.

"Aiya, the company isn't even mine. I have the same family name as them, but I'm not going to be biased because of that. Business is business. There is a risk to everything. In addition to that I think I already made it pretty clear that I want nothing to do with them. Whether if they face bankruptcy tomorrow or win the first place in the lottery, they will have to suck it up. It's not like I could support them anyways."

Susu finished the cup of tea and was ready to pour herself a second cup when Chen Mu's hand held hers. She looked at him and smiled, "What? You thought I would be angry or something?"

He shook his head, "I was afraid that you would be upset. Surprisingly, my girlfriend has quite an EQ and IQ."

"Hah! You just noticed that? My EQ and IQ only lowers when I'm with you. Hahahahaha. Intoxicated by you." she giggled and interlocked their fingers while pulling him in for a kiss. He willingly took her mouth in his. A simple kiss became a passionate one as he slipped his tongue between her parted lips.

His free arm wrapped around her waist and brought her closer as their kiss deepened. Her underlying desire made her body move subconsciously, bringing herself onto his lap as their lips connected over and over again. Their interlocked fingers were long separated, finding its way to each others nape.

The longer they kissed, the rougher their lips smacked onto each other as if they were stranded in a desert and dying of thirst. Except, the thirst that they had for each other would never be enough to be filled. After a while of kissing, their lips became numb and breakfast time was up.

He leaned his head on her shoulder as she strokes his hair, "You need to get ready for work." She whispered gently, sounding like the refreshing summer's breeze that brought peace to his mind. "Mm... five more minutes.." he mumbled as his head tilted, giving his lips access to her neck.

"Nnn.. hey... Your five minutes will become an hour like this!" She tried to protest, but couldn't resist the tingle sensation that began to take over her body as his warm pecks worked its way to her right ear lobe. "You are my job." His hoarse, seductive voice whispered into her ears, making her legs lose strength.

"Y..you might as well bring me to work then!" She didn't want her to be the reason for his lateness, so she randomly spurted these words out. Once again, she underestimated the power of her words.

"Okay. Let's get ready then." He grinned, carried her in his arms, and walked to her room.

After placing her down on the bed, he lifted her chin and gave it a small peck, "Get ready quick or I'll be late." He winked and walked out of the room to get dressed for work. She sighed, "If only I knew how effective my words were before I said it..."

Within half an hour, the couple walked into Chen Corps with their fingers interlocked. Every female who had a crush on Chen Mu felt like an abandoned widow as they heard and saw the couple walking around while holding hands. If Chen Mu had enough time, he would've gone through every floor of the corporation and branches in the city to introduce her to everyone.

Susu could only shyly walk beside him and slowly get used to the attention every staff was giving her. Meanwhile, the devil beside her had no problem hugging her everywhere, sprinkling salt on everyone who is single in the company.
