Chereads / Natasha: The last Hybrid / Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 6 : Part 2

Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 6 : Part 2

I've officially come to the conclusion that I'm one hundred percent crazy. Being on earth for over a thousand years, I admit I've done some pretty crazy things, but this by far is the craziest. I stand alone in the fiery island, bright colors dancing, then changing before my eyes. Not being able to see any more out of my human eyes due to the amount of smoke, my wolf eyes glow red as I walk through the island.

"Help!" I hear the voices of many people yell. "Somebody help us!" With unnatural speed, I make it to where the voices are. My eyes widen, seeing a car flipped over in the sand. There are about three people in the car, one of them being a child.

My lips part as I begin to speak. "Hold on, don't move." Pointing my hands at the car, I begin to chant. "Cum potestatibus ad me: Orbis terrarum, et clamorem meum exaudi flip est currus." The car flips back to how it's supposed to be and the doors open. The mother quickly rushes out of the car and goes to her child's side. The father does the same, clutching his bleeding head. "Stay here," I tell them, going to help other people out.

"We're stuck! Help us!" People yell trapped inside their burning houses.

Running as fast as my body would let me, I kick their doors down, pointing to where they need to wait for me. "Wait by that car, no matter what don't move." The smell of blood and burning flesh hit my nose, making my stomach turn. These people are burning and I wasn't fast enough to help them all. Mumbling to myself, my legs stop moving."Come on Natasha, think."

An idea comes to mind and for a second I think that it might actually work. During my training with Raine, she thought me a spell. A spell that only a few of the witches could do, because it involves so much power and energy. Doing the spell can leave a witches mind paralyzed and even worse, death. I myself, have only done the spell once and after that, it took the witch part of me a whole two months and lots of blood to recover from being so drained.

What the spell does is pull every beating heart together, giving you about a second to quickly teleport them someplace else. If my calculations are right, the spell would take everything with a beating heart off the island, except for me. Since I'm the one that's casting the spell, I'd have to stay. But that wasn't a problem, I'd get myself off this island before it burned fully.

Walking to where everyone was, all eyes snap to me. "I'm getting you all out of here." Taking deep breaths, I move my neck side to side cracking it. "Here goes nothing," I say to myself. "Somnum, somnium: Pax, pax, somno, somno Somnium somno pacis Nunc ut velit - fiat semper." The words come out my mouth so easily, that for a second I don't feel the side effects of the spell. "Somnum, somnium: Pax, pax, somno, somno Somnium somno pacis Nunc ut velit - fiat semper." And just like that, everyone disappears. A wave of dizziness hits me, causing my body to stumble a bit. My eyes rise weekly, watching as everything burns. The smell of smoke is too much.

The hair on my skin stands up, feeling something dangerous come into the atmosphere. "Poor hybrid." A voice says, creeping up on me. "Did that big of a spell, only to weaken yourself." His steps get closer. "It's a bad thing for you, but for me." He pauses looking down at me. "Well for me, it's a good thing. I can take you, without you putting up a fight."

Lifting my head up lazily, I look at him. Even though the air consisted of the sea colors of red, yellow and orange. I can still see somewhat of an outline of his face. His bone structure is fine and perfectly symmetrical. His eyes were the color of deep sienna, with a mischievous glint that seems to reflect the corners of his mouth, which were fighting a smile. "Stay away from me Satan."

Rahul chuckles darkly, bending down to my height. "Please, call me Rahul. The only people that call me Satan, are the ones that hate me." He moves closer, placing my hair behind my ear. "And you my dear Natasha, have no reason to hate me. I've done nothing to you."

In some weird way, he kind of does have a point. "You want to use me," I whisper. "To activate the stone."

He scoffs. "You got it all wrong, my dear. I don't want to use you, I just want to help you." Rahul says. "Helping you helps me in the long run."

I frown. "What do you mean?"

"You are special Natasha. And you being a hybrid, is far from what makes you special. Do you really think Odessa choose to make you a hybrid because you were dying?" He shakes his head. "Odessa lied Natasha, that's not even close to the reason why she chose you." Odessa lied to me? "She chose you because you are destined for much more. When you touched the pride stone, I know you felt that power. It felt like it belonged to you because, in reality, it does."

"How do you know all of this?"

Rahul gives me an evil smirk. "Because Natasha, everything is calculated. And ever since you were in your mother's womb, I've been keeping an eye on you." Rahul leans into my ear. "My blood helped in making you a Hybrid."

I nod my head lazily, all I wanted to do was sleep. "I know that."

"But my powers, they'll help in making you so much more."

"Back away from her!" A voice says, coming out of the middle of nowhere. My eyes snap open for a moment, looking at Torrin. He looks angry and shirtless. His wings swinging back and forth.

Rahul smirks, moving a few steps away from me. "Ah, Torrin. Glad to see you here, didn't think you'd make it."

Torrin's fist tightens. "Move away, now!" He says, his voice sounding dangerously low. I've seen Torrin angry before, but this by far was something else. The whites in his eyes are a pure black, as his iris glows teal. Symbols, lines, and dots form in the iris, in a sort of manner. His lethal stare feels painful and piercing. Whatever Rahul did to Torrin, must've really hurt him. "I didn't kill you the last time we saw each other, but that doesn't mean the same thing will happen this time. You're breaking the deal that we have, so I suggest you leave before things get crazy."

"Son," Rahul starts to say.

Did he just call him son?

"Don't you dare call me that!" Torrin yells. His voice was so loud, so thunderous, that I can't even concentrate on what he said, only the tone in which he had said it in. He has become a whole different person.

Rahul ignores him and continues. "As long as you're near her. That deal that we have is going to shit." Rahul says. "I need her Torrin, so let me have her and just like before you'll never see me again."

"No," Torrin speaks. A cough erupts from my lips, sending my head forward a little. The cough is almost like a smokers cough, hacking and wheezing. I've been on this fiery island for too long, and it's starting to mess with my lungs. Torrin's eyes snap towards me, his eyes holding an unreadable expression. "Natasha get yourself out of here."

"She can't." Rahul chuckles. "She's warned herself out, already doing such a big spell."

Torrin shoots him a look. "I wasn't fucking speaking to you."

"Now, now Torrin. I don't think you're mother would," Rahul doesn't get to finish his sentence. Torrin flies towards him at a fast speed, punching him in the face. Rahul stumbles back a bit, clutching onto his jaw. He licks the small amount of blood, coming from his lip before looking at Torrin. "All that for a drop of blood Torrin?"

"Yes, and they'll be more blood if you ever mention my mother again." Torrin threatens. He flies towards me, picking me up. "I'm leaving with her and if you have a problem with that, then keep it to yourself." Torrin fixes me, to the point where he's carrying me bridal style. He braces himself, before jumping up into the air.

"We'll meet again Torrin!" We hear Rahul yell.

"I'm counting on it." Torrin whispers. He looks down at me as we're in the sky. "I told you not to go down there." He says. "You never listen." Torrin shakes his head. "You made a stupid move and if Rahul had got you, then everything would've gone to shit."

My face scrunches up, not wanting to hear him. "Please shut up Torrin."

He glares at me. "You know what, maybe I should just drop you." He threatens. "You're so irresponsible!"

I glare at him. "Maybe you should. Go ahead, let's see how your father feels about it. Whoever the fuck he is!" I yell, sleepily.

Torrin stays quiet for a minute, his face remains with no expression at all. "What spell did you use?"

"The heart ties," I answer.

"God, you're an idiot," Torrin says. "Out of all the spells you could've used. You just had to choose the one that weakens you."

"It saved lives," I remark. "Now please shut up. I'm tired." As the wind tousle his hair and whips it about his salt-kissed face, Torrin looks down at the ground and back up at me. His grip tightens on my body. "What's wrong?" I ask worriedly.

"You said you were sleepy right?" He asks. I nod. "Then go to sleep." Before I can register what he means, he speaks again. "Стоп," Torrin whispers and for the first time, I go to sleep without putting up a fight.

*

I moan from the tapping sunlight against my face, the sun light's up my hair like a fiery halo. I lift my head up from the pillow, looking around the unfamiliar room I'm in. The sun's vibrant rays send a glossy, gold sheen all around the room, blending with the falling leaves of Autumn. "Where the hell am I?"

"In a bedroom." Torrin states. My eyes snap to him, seeing that he's sitting down on a chair… close to me. "You were heavy to carry, so I had to break into someone's house. The owners aren't here, but I'm sure when they get back they'll notice someone has been here."

My ears perk up, processing everything. "How long have I been asleep?"

Torrin stands up, walking towards me. "About two days. The only reason why you woke up is because I did another blood binding." He looks down at me, his face looks emotionless but his eyes are questioning. "Can you walk?"

I roll my eyes. "Why don't you just ask me the question you really want to ask Torrin?"

He clears his throat. "I don't need to ask if I can see it for myself." He's so damn stubborn. "Get dressed, we have to go. We're behind on our mission by two days. Rahul probably has another stone by now." Torrin turns to leave, but I stop him.

"Wait!" I yell. "Before you commanded me to sleep that day, what did you see?" Torrin's eyes look into mine and for a second, I kind of regret asking. "What? What is it, tell me."

Torrin sighs. "Those people that you saved on the island." He pauses for a moment. "They didn't make it Natasha."

My heart drops and the room goes silent. "How?"

"When we got into the air, Rahul went after them and finished them off," Torrin tells me.

"That doesn't make any sense," I say, leaning on the headboard. "Why would he kill them?" I whisper.

Torrin looks down at the ground. "He wanted to hurt you, for not coming with him willingly." He opens the door. "He's going to continue to find ways to hurt you, Natasha. That's why we should've just left when I suggested it. No matter what good deed you try to do, he'll find a way to mess it up."

I look up at him, with angry eyes. "What? So I'm supposed to just let my people die?" I ask. "I can't let that happen. They didn't ask to be supernaturals or in the human world, but as queen, it became my responsibility to take care of them. It's my job to protect them, no matter what the cost."

"If you wanna risk your life for a bunch of abominations, then so be it, Natasha. I'm not your mother or father, therefore I'm not going to tell you what to do with your life." Torrin says. "But if you ever make any decision that jeopardizes my life, just know that your head is mine."

I sigh, rubbing my temple. "You're annoying and for your information that makes you an abomination as well. I need a drink." I mumble to myself.

"You can't have one!" Torrin states. "Hurry up and get dress, we need to leave."

Pulling the sheet off my body, I realize that I'm naked. "You took my clothes off, thanks," I tell Torrin. "You didn't do anything else to me did you?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows.

Torrin raises his eyebrow and then his face turns to disgust. "Remember Natasha, you're old enough to be my grandma's mother. I'm never. Not in a million years touching you in a sexual way." He looks up and down at my body. "And let's be honest, you're vagina probably has spider webs. No one likes fossil pussy."

I smirk at his little joke and shrug. "Say what you want Scarface, but by you bringing up my pussy I know for a fact that you were thinking about me in a sexual way. Never say never." Getting off the bed, I walk towards the unknown bathroom making sure to add some sway to my hips. "Admit it, Torrin, you think about me in more ways than one." And with that being said, I walk into the bathroom, closing the door.
