🌏EARTH
The music soars throughout the club, giving everyone ecstasy. My head bobs to the beat of the song, listening closely to the lyrics that the artist is singing. My eyes scan across the club, watching how everyone is dancing and getting along. I smile at this. This is what I've been working so hard for. Humans and supernatural creatures living together as one.
It's been exactly two thousand eighteen years since we supernatural creatures arrived here on earth. The world has changed, and we all live as one, well somewhat. I admit it wasn't always like this. When we first came to earth many humans tried to kill us. They failed of course, but after four hundred years of them trying to kill us, we came up with an agreement.
We separated into five clans. The Linden clan, which was formed by humans. Deeprose clan, which was ruled by Lycans. Janhollow clan, which belongs to the witches. Goldville clan which belongs to the vampires. And finally the Violet Death clan, which belongs to me. Here in my clan, anyone can be welcomed in. Not that the same thing doesn't apply to the rest of the clans, it's just that I am more accepting when it comes down to both humans and supernaturals.
The reason that we split up into clans, is because some people of the clans only felt comfortable with living with their kind.
For example, King Garrett, who is the ruler of the Liden clan, wants no supernatural creatures in his kingdom. Even though we have a treaty, he and his people don't feel comfortable with the supernaturals. And me being the kind Queen that I am, I gave them a clan to keep the peace.
"You gonna keep pouting all night or are ya gonna come dance with me?" A familiar voice asks.
I smile, turning my head around to face Yiska. He was visiting me to "check up" on me. "I wasn't pouting you old dog. I was thinking about something before you rudely interrupted me." I say, standing up.
Yiska playfully glares at me. "I'm not a goddamn dog. You know I hate when you compare me to one." He shakes his head, before pulling me in for a hug. I hugged him back, before pushing him away. "What were you thinking about? It better not be about that bitch."
I sigh, already feeling the memories coming back. "She's not a bitch Yiska," I say, hoping he wouldn't say her name.
"Yes, she is Natasha. What she did to you was terrible." He looks at me like I'm crazy. "Do you not remember how torn up you were when she did what she did? It's been only a week since it all happened."
I take a shot of vodka, not wanting to think about it. "Trust me, I remember Yiska."
"I told you, just give me the word." He says. "I'll rip out Claire's throat in a second."
I wince, feeling a ping in my heart. He just had to say her name. "That's not necessary Yiska. Life goes on." I gave him a small smile. "I'm fine, really."
Yiska rolls his eyes. "You can fool Raine and Odessa with those lies Natasha, but you can't-fool me." He smirks. "We share a mind you know."
"Get out of my head Yiska!" I say sternly, before walking towards the V.I.P lounge. "It's rude to read people's minds and emotions without asking!"
He huffs, following me. "Like you've ever asked for permission." I stay quiet. He was right, I never did ask for permission.
"Shut up," I mumbled, reaching the entrance of the V.I.P lounge.
"Welcome Queen Natasha." One of my most trusted guardsmen greets. "Queen Raine and Celine are already waiting for you upstairs."
I nod. "Thank you, Lionel," I said before entering. When I reach up to the top of the stairs, I'm pulled into a bone-crushing hug. "Celine let go." But she doesn't listen, she keeps hugging me.
Raine steps in, shaking her head at the scene. "Celine let go of Natasha."
Celine sighs. "What? I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to make her feel loved."
I smile at her. "Thank you, Celine. I feel the love." She nods at me, before taking a seat next to Yiska.
"How are you feeling Natasha?" Raine asks as we sit down.
"I'm fine," I replied, wishing that everyone would stop asking me. I see Raine look at Yiska as if asking him if I was telling the truth and Yiska shakes his head. I roll my eyes. "Guys, seriously, I'm fine. Now can Y'all stop asking me before I lose it."
They all nod saying, "Fine." In union.
"I'm attending the wedding." I hear someone say. My eyes snapped towards Medusa and my blood starts to boil. I didn't even know she was up here. Who the hell invited her! "Claire invited me along with the rest of these idiots." She says, referring to the other originals. Medusa smirks. "Did you get an invite as well Natasha?"
My fangs come out. "You ask me another question that concerns Claire or even mention her name again, and I'll fuckin kill you Ying!" I sneer, using her first name.
She looks at me unbothered. "You can try little girl." She points at her shades. "All I have to do is lift these up and stare at you. Then they'll be no more you."
A smirk made its way to my face. "And all I have to do is get Athena." I resort. "Then they'll be no more you." The smirk on Ying's face disappears. I smile knowing that I got to her. She doesn't like it when anyone brings up Athena. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and a bunch of other things; she's the one that turned Medusa into what she is now. From what I know Poseidon, (Hades brother) seduced Medusa and raped her in one of Athena's temples. And because of that, Athena transformed her hair into snakes. Whenever Medusa looks at someone, they turn into stone. In all honesty, it was a fucked-up situation.
I let out a breath, feeling bad for mentioning it. "I'm sorry Ying. I didn't mean to bring it up."
She glares at me. "Whatever, you stupid girl."
I hiss at her.
So much for me feeling bad.
My fangs go back in, and I chose to ignore Medusa. She wasn't worth losing my cool over. "Tonight is my last night of being around you guys for a while, can we please just have fun," I say, dreading having to travel. Since it is the year 3836, it is time for me to free the people of my village. Even though I didn't want to free them, I knew that it was the right thing to do.
"How long are you going to be gone for?" Celine asks, popping open a bottle of liquor. In the old days, humans used to call this type of liquor champagne, now we call it Tonic.
"Three weeks."
"You know I can always come with you," Yiska says, smirking. "Help you keep your mind off a certain girl."
I scoff. "Like you'd ever be able to keep up with me," I say. After being around Yiska for centuries, I've caught on to his dirty humor.
Everyone laughs, including Medusa. We continue to crack jokes and catch up on things. I don't bother taking any more shots, liquor doesn't get me drunk. I just drink it because it makes my stomach tingle. The only liquor that succeeded in making me feel a buzz, was moonshine.
The DJ plays an old-school song and I quickly jump to my feet, wanting to dance. Grabbing onto Yiska's hands, I pulled him onto the dance floor. I lift my arms up and move to the beat of the song. Yiska wraps his hands around my waist, pulling me close to him. "Always teasing me Natasha," Yiska says in my ear.
"It's what I'm good at." I grind my hips, feeling his erection. "Keep it in your pants Yiska."
I feel him smirk. "Yes, my Queen." We continue to dance side to side at the rhythm of the song. This was the most fun I've had since Claire. I was actually happy that I decided to leave the castle tonight. If it was any other night, I'd most likely decline to go to the club and sit back and work.
Glancing down at the watch in my hands, I sigh. It was time for me to leave. "I gotta go," I whisper to Yiska. He nods, letting go of my waist. Together we walk back to the V.I.P lounge. The trip to Tanzania was a long one, so it was best that I left on time.
"It's time for me to go, guys," I say to Raine and Celine. They pulled me into a hug, before pulling away. I turn to Raine. "No one is to know I'm gone okay? You never know what enemies we have around here that will try to do something while I'm gone. Anyone who asks for me, tell them I'm fasting. They know not to bother me when I'm fasting."
Fasting wasn't a religious thing for me. It's just something I do to not drink so much blood. As much as I crave human blood, if I didn't fast I can kill up to three hundred humans. Probably even more.
Raine frowns. "You usually only fast for two weeks. I'm sure people will notice if it's longer."
I shake my head. "They won't," I assure. "Plus if they do, you'll have Lionel here to keep them calm. Everything will be fine, I'll be back before you know it."
She nods hesitantly. "Alright, Natasha."
My eyes snap to Medusa. "I can count on you to help everything run smoothly right?"
Medusa rolls her eyes. "Like I have a choice." She looks down at her nails. "Can you go already, you're ruining the mood."
Now it was my time to roll my eyes. "Whatever," I mumble. One of these days I swear I'm going to kill her. "Bye guys," I say a final time, before going downstairs.
Lionel sees me and smiles. "Have a safe trip, my Queen."
I smile. "Thanks, Lionel." Walking out of the V.I.P lounge, I watch as everyone continues to party. Letting out a breath, I move towards one of the back exits.
With one final glance at the club, I open the door and walk out. It is still dark outside, which means the vampires still have time to enjoy themselves before the sun comes out. The sun didn't cause me any harm. It actually keeps me pretty strong.
It was cold outside. I can tell by the amount of snow falling. The weather doesn't affect me now that I was a hybrid. Half of the time I barely even knew if it was hot or cold.
My ears perk up, hearing the beating of another person's heart. I frown, not being able to catch a scent. I turn in the direction of where I hear the pulse. "Who the fuck is there?!" I yell. "Come out before I shift!" No one comes out and the heartbeat of whoever it is stays steady. My fangs come out on impact. The sound of the person's heart beating stops.
Again, it sounds, but on a different side. I quickly turned around. "Show yourself!" I command it.
"That command crap doesn't work on me bitch." A deep voice says from behind me.
I turn around, only to see nothing. "You don't even know me and yet you're calling me a bitch." I took a step back. "Why don't you stop playing games and come out and face me like a real... whatever the hell it is that you are."
It chuckles. "Why would I do that when I can keep playing games."
My claws come out. "I don't like games, now come out before I cast a spell."
It was quiet for a moment. And for a second, I thought, whoever it was left. "As you wish." The person the voice belongs to comes out of the dark. It's a man, a very tall man.
"What do you want?" I ask.
He walks forward. "I need you to come with me." He demands. His eyes are dead set on mine as if trying to see if I was going to do something.
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
He chuckles darkly. "Who said that you had a choice?"
I glared at him. "I did. Now leave before you end up a rat."
The man takes a step closer and still I can't make out his features. It's as if he has a cloaking spell on his face. "What are you?" I ask, intrigued.
"You ask too many questions." He snapped. "You can come with me willingly, or I can take you by force."
I close my eyes, channeling my inner lycan. I opened my eyes when I feel it trying to surface. "Then I guess you have to take me by force." My bones crack, adjusting to its lycan form. I fell to my knees, feeling myself shift.
"Стоп!" He yells. My eyes widened when I stop shifting. My body freezes and falls completely to the ground.
"H... how is this possible?" I stuttered, feeling so much pain in different parts of my body. I'm a hybrid. I'm not supposed to feel pain like this. This... this is toucher.
The man chuckles, bending down to my height. "There's so much you don't know about your own kind and it's sad. You think that just because you're a hybrid, you're untouchable." He shakes his head. "You're sadly mistaken bitch. You're weak, just like those who you come from."
My blood felt like it was on fire. "Make it stop," I beg.
He makes a tsk sound with his tongue. "You shoulda came with me willingly darling." His fist connects with my face, and the next thing you know I'm unconscious.
