Chapter 22 - Ahoy

Imagine dreaming of being on a cloud, just flying around in a sea of fluff, enjoying the feeling of being weightless, free from the mortal world. Imagine yourself being in the cusp of fulfillment and of being at peace with yourself. Now hold onto that, and then Imagine yourself suddenly being dropped into the ice-cold pacific, well. That was exactly what happened to me. I was enjoying my dream when suddenly I was drowning in the freezing sea, fighting for my life.

All I could do was a cry for "Help!" I shouted out, feeling helpless as I can't swim at all, the water was freezing me inside and out, I couldn't move properly, the swimming motion I tried to do, just turned into flailing, not helping me one bit. "Somebody help me!." I shouted out again, it only helped the salty liquid rush down my throat faster, I couldn't even muster the energy to spit it out as I sank deeper into the blue, I felt myself sinking, I felt weak, seawater was invading my lungs and my pitiful attempt to swim was just tiring me out even faster. "I never thought I'd die by drowning, what a pathetic way to go."

"What the hell? This kid doesn't even know how to swim?" Edna spat out, frowning at the attempts of the boy trying to save himself.

"I'll go save him." I sighed taking off my boot. "I just dried myself like 10 minutes ago," I complained to myself.

"You go do that Rook, make sure he doesn't die, at least not before he becomes useful," Edna called out as I was jumping into the sea.

Diving after the boy, Rook fished him out easily, he wasn't even struggling he felt heavy but he guessed that was because the boy took in too much water.

Dropping the kid onto the deck, he was blue almost looked dead already. Rook looked to his captain and gave her a disapproving look, a look which she just straight-up ignored. He was about to perform CPR when somebody pushed him to the side saying "Get out of the way old man." Something that irritated him and he already know full well who it was.

Their cook came up to the boy and started to resuscitate the boy. A few sets later he was already coughing out the water he took in. The boy still looked pale, shivering, probably freezing his balls off right now. But he will survive, grinning he could just say.

"Welcome to the Weeping Bride kid."

Waking up in an unfamiliar place is starting to become normal for me, just a few weeks ago I woke up to different looking ceilings of the cave we were travelling in, then in mansion that looked like a replica of my previous home. Now, looking around I was on a ship. A giant wooden Galleon, one you would see if you watched pirate movies before, I wanted to walk around and see the beauty of it, but I was currently tied onto a stool. With a few scary pirates watching me, I still didn't know how I got here. And then it hit me, a feeling of dread and fear that I have never felt before, No, it felt similar, before I was drowning, right as I was getting to somewhere, A sharp pain hit my head, it wasn't physical, It was like something was digging itself out of my head. I just heard someone laughing. And it was gone.

"Hahaha. You're a cute kid." Looking up I saw a woman walking towards me, she was tall, curly hair flowing down her head that was topped off with a white bandana, she wore similar outfits to the *pirates* guarding me. "Eyes up here kid." I heard as I looked at her face, a scar was decorating her face, one starting from her lip running across her cheek up to her left eye.

"Done looking at me?" She came up to my face. "I'm sorry." those were the only words I could muster as the feeling of dread was starting to creep up onto me, no doubt the woman's work. I was pretty sure she was about to poke out my left eye when she suddenly just dropped down, a thud coming right around where her head was.

Looking up it was a pair of a man and a woman right behind her who was dressed fancily, no doubt the captain of this ship. "You done scaring the boy Masha?" the man spoke to the woman now at my feet, expecting an answer that wasn't coming he gestured for my other guards to take the woman away.

"Okay now let's start who are you? And what were you doing in that forest?"
