In one of the roads leading to the village a young man was tinkering with a worn out pick up truck while mumbling to himself.

"Come on, what is wrong with you, why did you choose to break down now."

The young man said to himself and suddenly kick the bumper of the truck. "why did you have to break down now!"

The young man sigh and look up at the dark night sky. This young man is Ken Reyes, he is born in the City, grew up in the City, and studied in the city, in short he is your typical city boy.

Why is he on this remote village you ask, because he can't handle the pressure of living in the city. Ken is 25 yrs old and a fresh graduate, although Ken graduated from college with flying colors with a degree in Bachelor of science in Business Agriculture, Ken couldn't get a job because he didn't pass the Agriculturist Licensure Examination causing him to have a tough time in the city.

Without a job Ken was forced to stay with his Big brother who already have a family of his own, resulting in him feeling guilty living off his big brother's money and house.

So when Ken learned that their family owned a plot of land in their province, he immediately sought permission to build a farm and apply what he had learned in college.

Ken took off to the super market and bought seeds and equipment necessary for building his farm, but is it really so easy to build a farm?

Ken didn't expect his destination to be that far and secluded, the road condition was also bad because it just so happens that the day he choose to head to the village a storm has been assailing the village causing the dirt roads to be muddy and besides he didn't even think about the place he would stay after he reach his destination, it's a good thing that a kind couple allowed him to spend the night in their home or he would have suffered being drench in the rain and spent the night sleeping in the back of his truck

The first thing ken did after the storm subsides was to look around the land their family owned, he didn't really expect anything because although their family is well to do it isn't really possible for their family to possess hectares of land but what he saw was really astonishing, what he thought to be a small plot of land turned out to be a stunning greenery with lush trees and a few little birds Ken even heard running water hinting that there was a river nearby.

Ken then decide to explore the forest, he first move in the direction where the sound is coming from.

After a few minutes of walking Ken saw pristine water flowing from the river, Ken was excited after seeing the clean and pristine water he immediately run towards the water and saw the river is teeming with life, with fishes like Bangus (milkfish), Tilapya (nile tilapia), Hito (walking catfish) and various type of fresh water fish.

After the initial excitement pass, Ken look around and saw a tattered hut, after hesitating for a bit Ken decided to look at the hut and after the hut was abandoned ken decided to build on it and make it his place.

With water, food source and shelter already secured Ken decided to make this his home for now.

After thinking about how the few weeks have passed since his arrival, Ken sigh and look at his truck.

"It should be alright to leave you here for the night." he said.

Ken took his lamp, clothes, blanket and all his necessities and decided to walk to his hut.

The forest was about a 10 minute ride and approximately 20 minutes on foot, so it didn't take long for Ken to see his hut. After arriving outside of the hut, Ken took out his lighter and lighted the makeshift tourch Illuminating the courtyard, after entering the hut Ken switched on the electric lamp allowing him to see the interior of the hut clearly. It was a single room with the bed, table and chair beside the window and on the opposite side was the dirty kitchen along with a cupboard.

"I should wash up and change my clothes, then prepare some food, I still have a lot to do tomorrow, especially my truck."

Ken then reached out to open the cupboard and took out some rice along with some easy open canned goods. He the took out the pot, poured the rice, wash it three times and measured the water using the lines in his middle finger as his basis.

He then put coal in the dirty kitchen and lighted a match to start a fire, Ken nodded after getting the right temperature, he put the pot atop the fire to let the rice cook.

While the rice is cooking Ken grab an onion and a two clove of garlic, he remove the skin and cut the onion in half and diced it, then he removed the skin of the garlic and crush it. Ken then opened the canned beef.

After half an hour of adjusting the fire to properly cook the rice he removed the pot from the fire then put a frying pan on top of the stove, put a little bit of oil after the pan turned hot, he then put the garlic and onion then stir it until it emanate an aroma, Ken then put the canned beef in the pan and put some salt in it, after about two minutes a very appetizing onion and garlic beaf was made.

Ken the put a scoop of rice along with onion and garlic beaf in his spoon, blew on it to dissipate the heat and put the dish in his mouth. Ken sighed in satisfaction.

"This is just right after a tiring day."

Afterward Ken washed up and retired to bed.

In the dark of the night, the stars glitter in the little village of Sintones sky. In the monotonous village life, people usually sleep by the time the day changes into night and the clear sky reveals the breathtaking beauty of of the milky way.

In the peaceful and quiet night, eight shooting star appeared as a dazzling streak in the night sky.

The eight shooting star traveled silently and unknown to the people monitoring the universe, suddenly one of the shooting star diverge from the others and started descending in the night sky of the village.
