For three years now, I have always included "Find a new hobby" in my new year's resolution. I have always loved reading but sometimes I get bored and lose my appetite to read when I finish a good novel or manga.
This new hobby entails most, if not all, artsy stuff.
Miniature DIY building which is the best. I bought 6 kits, but after a year I only assembled 2.
Gunpla assembling which is surprisingly a lot of fun. I enjoy the building process more than the finished product. I like Fumina and Bear-sans the most, altho it really ain't the usual mecha gunplas.
Keyboard Warrior. Yes, this a legit hobby. One time I got so strung up on a kpop group show I began commenting madly! I don't bully the video subject at all but fight all the other haters in the comment section. "HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT TO MY BABY. SHE IS SO HARDWORKING AND SHE DESERVES MORE SCREENTIME. BEST GIRL." etc etc. It was a really toxic hobby but it relieved a lot of stress but also generated a lot of stress. Confused? but it was fun while it lasted. Now, I'm like a part-timer now, occasionally leaving encouraging compliments in the comment section hoping that my bias will read it.
Exercising. However, I always fail. Let's move on to the next one.
After I've tried everything, I always go back to my favorite - Reading. My first love. My holy grail. My anchor in this godforsaken reality. It keeps me sane on bad days. I'll never tire of it. The books under my bed, my 100+ bookmarks of novels and stories in chrome are testaments to this. I indescriminately read a wide genre of books from fanfiction to self-help ones.
The adventure and romance are all at the tip of my fingers and within my sight. I think you also like reading since you've read this far out. Nice to meet you, I'm glad we have the same hobby.
