Synopsis
A story not to be told. A tale forgotten and lost. Not of heroes nor villains but with the unimportant and worthless. When the two worlds collide, the Banished shall rise once more. Let the world of Kori’el know the truth. The heroes of old are no longer bold and the saviors of men have gone deaf and cold. When the cries of sorrow are no longer heard, there will be no hero’s stories to be told, but you can always count on cowards that run amok.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Laughter Stops

It was hell. These last few weeks were the worst that I've ever lived. I wasn't able to go to school, I was fired at my part-time job, and I was a disappointment to my parents. I mean, I have always been a disappointment but more so in these past few days. I always thought that suicide wasn't an answer, but I'm seriously considering it right now.

Who am I you ask? Well, I'm Solomon Lee and unlike my Bible counterpart, I'm not very wise. I was always unsure of everything I do, and I always try to escape from my problems. It was probably from my upbringing, but mostly it was from the other voice in my head.

I was afraid that if I ever consulted a psychiatrist they'll admit me in an asylum. The voice usually just says some mean and discouraging things from time to time, so I let it be.

These past few weeks, however, it started taking control of my actions leading to my unfortunate adventures. Right now though it's doing something worse. Right now, I'm standing over a 10-story building ready to jump.

"JUMP! JUMP! JUMP!" the voice said while laughing hysterically as if mocking me. "Jump! Sol! Jump!"

"NO! Why do you want me to die anyway? You're a voice in my head so if I die you die." I protested as I fought the voice's control.

"A voice in your head?! " It laughed. "Oh, little child I am so much more than that." It said coldly devoid of all emotion. "Now jump."

"Wha-Waaaaaa..." the scream echoed throughout the block as a 17-year old took the fastest way down the building.

Laughter. It was the last thing I heard and then there was silence. Complete and perfect silence. Without the voice, I can finally hear it, the sound of serenity.

I died but at least it was over ...
