Their class was another story. Kids were rowdy, yelling and throwing crumpled up papers at each other. But as soon as one of the papers hit John's head the whole classroom went silent. Everyone looked to the back of the classroom where Alfie and John were with fear. Whoever threw that paper would never hear the end of it from Alfie and they knew it
"So, would someone mind telling me who threw that paper?" He had said it in such a tone that anyone would quiver with fear. Then, a scrawny kid pointed at a homicidal classmate who seemed to not care at all. "So what if I threw that paper? It's not like you can do anything about it." This kid had balls to stand up to Alfie. "Alfie, please don't do anything to him! I don't want you to get detention!" John said with puppy dog eyes looking up at Alfie. "Meet me at the back of the school." Alfie felt bad for ignoring John but he wouldn't let this asshole disrespect John.
"Okay class, settle down, settle down." The teacher had walked in before anything escalated. I glared at the new kid as Archie rubbed my back to try and calm me down. I wish we could've stayed like that forever but alas, class ended. Once the soft-toned bell rang Archie got up and took my hand to help me up. The rest of the day went by in a blur as none of my other classes were with Archie. It's not like I could feel anything unless it had something to do with Archie. I tried to ask our principal to put me in the rest of his classes but he wouldn't allow it.
At the end of the day Archie came up running to me at the gate. We've been together since the last two years of middle school, now we're sophomores in high school. We've only just started dating on the two and a half year mark of being friends. But of course, being together is what got us into this horrid school.
