Prologue

May 13, 2032

In the midst of dazzling city of Tokyo, stands Japan's tallest building "The Colloseum". With 236 floors, extaravagant interior and exterior designs, 7 helipads in boundries of 41st and 42nd floor, most luxurious cars on parking grounds, advanced generation AI security alongside 1700 security personnels, it is one of the places where even Japan's prominent figures fear to approach. The reason for being such an unapproachable place is not due to its exquisite look, but being under a three layered dome shaped transparent covering, which is also known as the anti-magic barrier. This three layered barrier nullifies any type of magic attack from outside and can withstand even nuclear attacks. Even a combined attack from 5 Legendary ranked sorcerers can't break through through the barrier. The reason why this building is protected by such an anti-magic barrier is an easy guess. It is the headquarters for Japan's two most powerful organisations, Federation of Magic Bureau and Ministry of Magical Affairs(External and Internal).

In the 78th floor of this building, there is big hallway leading to four different rooms. Each room can be opened only after an I'd scan, face detection, as well as full body scan. The doors are made up of Fleryon metal alloy, which are especially used for making of body armors and shields due to their high magic reflectivity and shock absorbing capacity. Within one of the rooms, two people are seen talking with each other. One of them looks like a matured guy with a well built body seemingly around 40 years of age, dressed in corporate style. He seems to be official of some sort in ministry. The other guy is a thin person in his 20s, dressed in a black hoodie with tracks, his mouth and nose covered with a black mask. While the corporate guy's tone seems to be quite lively, the black hooded guy is talking in quiet, monotonous voice.

"Well 2 months in, and still it seems that you hadn't much progress yet. Huh...We are running short on time, and even someone like you is unable to complete the task. I was quite hopeful that soon we may get fruitful results when you were assigned, but it looks like I was getting carried away due to your history." Said the middle aged corporate guy in a heavy tone. His face had a supressed anxiousness and concerned look.

"I don't know the severity of the job, but seeing someone like you getting pertubed is quite a sight.... While observing the guy in last 2 months, I didn't find anything special or worthwhile, everything was just average. Although latent, his skills doesn't seem to anything notable to make an 'Esper' concerned."

The hooded guy said in a nonchalant way.

"Potential of a person isn't judged before he or she even performs. Looking down on your opponent before he even makes a move, isn't something you would do..right???"

Saying so, the middle aged man rises up from his seat and moves towards the picture window behind his chair.

A brief silence covers the room for some time.

"Depends...If the opponent doesn't have a rich archive, he won't concern me at slightest...and in this case, the history isn't even promising."

"Well that is quite a noxious approach, but looking at your present status, I don't think you will understand my words anytime soon... Leaving that aside, do you have any ideas to make the task successful if given some more time?"

The middle aged man speaks in a slightly dominant tone which gazing the around the city through the window.

"Still not giving up, huh?? I have a few more methods though, can try them out. Although I can't guarantee a success."

"Try whatever you can, I will give you one more month. If you can't, I will look for someone else. Although I don't think anyone else has a chance if someone like you failed."

Said the man while sighing. He gives a last side glance to the city through window, before finally moving back to his chair.
