Chapter 13 - Useless Information

In an alley near the front door of the White Horse Inn, a sentry was staring at the unchanging scenery in front of him. In her hand was an hourglass with the underside of the sand nearly filling the underside entirely. That meant it was time for the secret signal.

This little bitch must already be sleeping like a bitch. - The sentry thought - Why do we need to stay here sniffing in this fucking shit? To hear that our employer likes this thing so much, this thing of corrupting girls that a sacred magic there that she lives. Looks like our boss is going to solve this business tomorrow.

The sentry fiddled with his dagger as he thought. He was watching a roof ahead, where another sentry was watching the White Horse Inn carefully and carefully, letting nothing pass.

But at that moment his eyes noticed something, a shadow approaching the other guy who was on the roof.

"A killer from another gang?"

As soon as he would open his mouth to warn the other sentry, he suddenly felt a shiver down his back from behind him.

He turned abruptly and only to see a person with a wooden mask and cloak quickly approaching him with a sword. Her eyes were focused on him. He obviously already knew where he was hiding.

The sentry reacted very quickly, turning around and trying to escape from the alley, as he could not face this person in direct confrontation. However, at that moment a shadow passed over him at that moment and something fell before his eyes.

The sentry stared bitterly at the body of his beheaded companion, and his mouth went dry, the shadow quickly leaping off the roof and landing in the alley, blocking his path.

Killing showing such brutality ... Is this guy a genuine killer? - He thought

Only four or five seconds have passed since the sentry realized someone was coming towards him, and the other shadow had already killed his mate on the roof.

That was unacceptable.

Where could the criminals of the Floors Union witness these killing methods? The sentry did not know how many mighty men must have already fallen through his blades to display this kind of skill.

Anna's sword was pressed to her back, and in a cold, lifeless voice she said:

- You have two options to cooperate with us or die!

The sentry obediently dropped his dagger and raised his arms. He had already given up fighting. This young man in front of him was an extremely scary killer and from behind his back he could see that it was a girl holding the sword in the middle of his back if she put any force on his arm she would make him paraplegic at the very least.

"Tie him up, I know, from an abandoned warehouse not far from here." Syrth said softly.

In an abandoned warehouse that is north of the city.

-I swear! I told you everything I knew!

The sentry named Rick was tied to a chair with hemp ropes. He was crying bitterly:

- I was in charge of observing and not attacking!

You haven't said it yet, because your gang was trying to watch you. Syrth said coldly.

Rick agile miserably as he spoke:

"I really don't know… hey, what are you doing? The sentry was startled.

Syrth sneered as he grasped the sentry's left hand. He drew a line on his wrist with his dagger and blood began to flow from the wound.

"That hurts nothing, right?" - Syrth asked with a scary smile - But I cut your vein, so you will bleed to death.

Saying this he slowly cut off Rick's other wrist.

"You demon!" - Rick was shaking with fear - Go, stop it fast!

"Tell me what I want to know and you will be released." - Syrth said without a shred of emotion - Otherwise we will leave you there alone and you will die due to blood loss.

Anna was looking at Syrth extremely worried. He obviously knew he needed to use some effective interrogation methods, but even so, he was worried about Syrth's behavior he seemed cold and indifferent as if he had no emotions.

At Syrth's simple interrogation, Rick quickly collapsed. These bandits have not been trained to resist this kind of relentless interrogation. They just joined the gang to get money in an easy way. They had no willpower.

This guy really didn't know who ordered the murder of Anna's brother - Syrth thought and began to analyze the situation - He just said that someone from the city nobility was paying a fortune. The Pinha City Storey Union is merely a second-tier power. His boss wanted to rise and needed a lot of money. The nobleman promised to invest in them as soon as they could complete the mission. Only the leader met the nobleman face to face, while the rest of the idiots just followed orders. If we want to find out the mandachuva behind all this, we need to find this Dhiones guy and pay a visit.

Syrth was thinking calmly. Rick said anything to keep himself alive. Aside from Dhiones being an iron-rank adventurer, the rest of the Floors Union was no big deal. The other members were all rank covers the lowest rank of adventurers. His second-in-command was all the time at his base, which was a bar called the Amethyst Bar, which was known in the favelas as an underground casino that was linked to organ sales, and always had some movement every night.

Dhiones was a very careful man, he fortified the defenses of Amethyst Bar.

"What should we do now!" - Anna asked.

Somehow she can't explain she's been trusting Syrth since he first appeared to her.

"You told me you would set me free!" Rick said out loud.

Syrth quickly approached and made some dagger cuts on the hemp rope.

Rick had an expression of shock. He didn't expect him to really release him like that.

Anna frowned and wanted to leave something, but she saw Syrth's hands gleamed with icy light.

Covered mouth! Head cut off! Blood gushing!

Rick didn't even have time to react when his head was severed from his body.

"I'm allowing you to be free, but I didn't say I wouldn't kill you," Syrth said nonchalantly as he dropped the sentry's body to the floor, he wiped the dagger's blood on the sentry's clothes.

Anna wanted to say something though, she was shaking with fear.

Syrth looked at him and said sincerely:

- People have many different easy ones. In these kind of circumstances, I have to become someone else. Your brother has given me the mission to protect you so I will not allow anyone to hurt, I will not allow it! Syrth took Anna's cold hands and whispered, "You are now under my protection." If anyone does anything against you, I will make them pay the price.

Anna's little face flushed a little as she stared at him, and though Syrth looked a little scary, he was feeling much safer than before.

She took her hands away, a little embarrassed and said in a low voice:

-What will we do now?

"Let's stop by the cemetery."

Syrth said something that caught her off guard.
