Aariv Looked at his mother,
"Mother, Let's sit," He said and sat down on a chair.
Durdhara looked at the serious face of Aariv and then looked at Chandragupta, who nodded at her.
"Mother, I am going to Himalaya and I'll stay there for the next 13 years. I know the future and if I stayed here then it would change." Aariv said, not telling her everything.
"But son how are you going to live alone and what's so important that you must go?" She asked.
"Your grandson wouldn't be born if I stayed," Aariv said as he pointed at Bindusara who was playing with the car.
~Wait, Sh*t... I fuck*d up~ Aariv thought to himself.
He looked at his father and established a mental connection with him, to talk to him privately.
"Father, don't be shocked, it's me Aariv talking," Aariv said mentally.
Chandragupta was about to jump in shock when he heard the strange voice in his head but controlled himself as he heard his son's name. He had understood that Aariv must want to talk about something privately.
"Father, I need to take mother with me... She was supposed to die giving birth to us and I was supposed to die too. Only Bindusara was supposed to survive. But I changed everything, I saved mother and this could change the future." Aariv said, he didn't tell that he was a reincarnation of his alternate future self.
"Man, that's not good. You want to take my lovely wife away from me for 13 years and where will you live with her?" Chandragupta said with a concerned face.
"You don't have to worry about that father, I'll take over some unknown kingdom there and live nicely," Aariv said calmly.
Chandragupta's eye twitched when he heard his son's words, but he believed that if his son wanted, then nobody could stop him from talking over some kingdom.
"All this is for your perfect grandson, you know. I also want him to manage the empire when I leave for foreign lands beyond the sea in the future," Aariv persuaded, he knew that he was asking for too much. Which husband would volunteer to live away from his wife?
Chandragupta made an ugly face, seemingly thinking about what to do. Aariv noticed that and made a decision.
"Give me one year, In one year I will create a secret underground transportation system that would let you meet mother whenever you want, but Bindusara can never know about this."
Aariv wasn't feeling good with letting his brother turn into a fuc*boy once again but still he wasn't much worried as according to history, Bindusara grew to become a brave and empathic emperor.
The main problem was, how he's gonna make his mother accept all this. Chandragupta and Aariv only took 8 seconds to talk mentally. Durdhara was oblivious about everything.
Aariv looked at his mother and said. "Mother I want you to come with me,"
"What? you mean all of us, right?" She said confusingly.
Aariv could not make her believe with just words so he showed her a vision.
"Mother close your eyes, I'll show you something," He said firmly.
She closed her eyes without saying anything, she was eager for some answers.
Aariv showed her the future, her son and his wife, their baby, Ashoka, and his achievements. He did not show how her son would build a harem and end up having 101 sons, out of which 99 would be murdered by Ashoka for the throne. That was a dark future.
Durdhara was overwhelmed with everything and also noticed that in those memoried she and Aariv were not present.
"As you can see, for this future to happen, we both need to go away," Aariv said calmly.
She sat silently for a while. Aariv looked at her eagerly.
"Okay, but I want to see him grow up and you're going to make that possible. Also, what are you going to tell little Bindusara? where did his mommy and brother go?" She said.
"Okay, I'll make something so you can see him grow up and for your next question. Father and Baldy will tell him that we went out to conquer new lands and expand the empire. Technically we won't be lying as I will conquer new lands and combine them with empire later on." Aariv explained.
Chandragupta nodded and looked at his wife. Aariv stood up and decided to leave.
"Okay, everything's decided then, I'll be leaving you guys alone now," Aariv said and went out.
Aariv had new problems now. One, he needed to design an underground transportation system. Two, he needs to send a communication satellite into geostationary orbit. The holocom worked for now as they were very close but when separated by distance of thousands of kilometers it would not work.
Making the satellite was easy but sending it into orbit wasn't, he also didn't have time to make a launch vehicle.
He went to his room's balcony and looked at the night sky.
~I wonder If I can throw it with my hand, I can easily lift 20,000 Tonnes so throwing a 500 grams(1.1 pounds) satellite should not be a problem~ He thought.
...
"Juno, are you there?" Aariv asked.
"Yeah, Whaaat?. I was watching a great movie," she nagged.
"Do you have any suggestions for the cub's name?"
Juno was silent for a while and then excitedly said, "Yes, yes I do. I just saw an awesome lion in a movie, he was majestic, wise and strong"
"That's exactly what I want my furball to become in the future," he said as he picked up the cub near his legs and stroked its head.
"Name him, Aslan," Juno said.
"Hmm, Aslan, it does have a nice ring to it," Aariv said.
He then brought up the cub in front of his face and called his name.
"Aslan"
"Grrr"
"Aslan"
"Grrr"
"hehe... I think he likes this name" Juno said, chuckling.
Aariv was pleased with the name and the reaction from Aslan.
"Okay then, it's time for dinner" He brought Aslan to his saucer filled with milk.
...
The next day.
It was the day of the royal court and Aariv and Chandragupta were behind the curtain in front of the jukebox.
"So this is the magical music machine," Chandragupta said, marveling at the cool machine.
"It's not magic, father, it's science. Ok, you see this button, when this is pressed a loud Lion's roar will be heard in the whole hall and then a badass drum beat will come, after that another majestic lion roar will come and with that roar you will come out to sit on the throne. This will make you look even more majestic," Aariv explained and continued.
"I've taught everything to your servant, he knows how to handle this machine now. Ok, I'll go and sit in the hall now, you come out when ready" He said and headed to the hall.
