Chapter 2 - 11/12/2019 Going back in time.

Alex and I were walking in the middle of the night at a shady place, reminiscent of the red district. Alex is one of my friends who really, really likes to hear my opinion. I don't know why, though becauses sometimes I feel that my line of thought is really heavy. We had this discussion last week, I accidentally remembered it this week, so I am posting it for today's vlog, happy reading ๐Ÿ˜‹

Alex: Hey, Kim. What do you think about the women who were prostitutes of the red district? *she says while staring at one of the glaringly hazy red lit place*

Kim: *Doesn't realize where they were and answers nonchalantly* Hmmmm, wow, I am amazed by them.

Alex: *surprised* what?... *eyes me suspiciously.

Kim: *blinks, looks at her surroundings and realization dawns her*** Well, if I were to go back in the past, I wouldn't scorn them. *she looks at the prostitutes flaunting their sexiness with this innocence that had no bearing of any judgement*** Maybe, I would even want to hear of their story and make a qualitative grounded theory study about them.

Alex:๐Ÿ˜“ what are they, specimens for your research??

Kim: ๐Ÿคจ what??

Alex: *rolls her eyes, knowing the talk is going nowhere with her friends line of thought, she changes the topic*** Why?๐Ÿค”

Kim: hmmmmm, good question. Probably, because I want to share with other people a perspective that society and its elites in the academic field have never introduced to the public.

Alex: *blinks in confusion*

Kim: It's like this. When you read history, novels, even diarys, they don't have these positive account for prostitutes. Prostitutes aside, I don't like Pimps. I am more for knowing more about the psychology of Society and Prostitutes, because for me pimps are so inhumane treating prostitutes as commodities. Life was hard back then, but that didn't mean you should step on people's dignity and freedom just to have a bit freedom for yourself...

Alex: *interrupts her talk and comments*** Survival of the fittest.

Kim: *looks at Alex seriously and nods*** is the rule of the prehistoric barbaric empires. Pimps aside ๐Ÿค” the fact that women were treated so lowly because they were doing things that, well, actually weren't to the liking of most of them, this was kind of a showing indicator that in the subliminal collective unconscious of society, this taking out of their libidos was a way of dirtying and satisfying them at the same time. Just because they they finally climaxed and C****d and relaxed doesn't mean they are really clean. *had a scoffing expression*** But, this act of burning the bridge once they crossed... is really despicable. Think about it, today, in some European countries, prostitution regardless of gender is now legal and safe, for the most part... I guess. Japan is very much open about their hentai fascination, ๐Ÿ˜† they even shared it to the world. And even though the 21st century world is more open about the libido, they still have this negative subliminal notion on open sexuality.

Alex: *smiles, sighs, then pats Kim's head*

Kim: ๐Ÿคจ what???

Alex: Nothing, continue....

Kim: *unaware and is incapable of understanding what Alex meant so she continues her analysis*** Seeing it now, it's really bizarre how repressed the people of the past were as dictated by society.

Alex: *nods and lightly remarks* sometimes I wonder where your brain sprung out from.

Kim: *makes a scoffing look*** hey, don't disdain me, or Imma disdain you. *pouts*

Alex: *giggles*** I know.

Kim: In line with my thought of going back to the past. I wanna question the biased notion of society. Think about it, we were brainwashed to grow up judging prostitutes when in reality we should have been judging the society that created this disgusting form of evaluation of other people. This was deeply imbued in people's collective unconscious. We always talk in class about the glorious things our predecessors have passed on to us never really talking about their pitch black flaunting of injustice and discrimination in the name of their so called fairness and righteousness during their time. Most of the visitors of these brothels were the rich, the elite young heirs of renowned families. The foundation of what society's status quo will be like in the future. How come they aren't dirty? When this was something they produced from within them? I mean the notion of judgement... *blushes as she clarifies***

Alex: *giggles and asks*** What about this taking out of libidinous repression?

Kim: It's not bad since it is scientifically proven to be a normal and healthy condition as long as we don't pass the legally announced verdict of normal perversion and unlawful perversion.

Alex: *shakes her head while smiling *

Kim: Anyhow, how come the women were dirty? Just because they were in situations they could not fight back from and had no background whatsoever. *as she said these words, there was a hint of heaviness to her overall demeanor*** And the fact that the amount of historical and literary works about the reality of prostitues are very few is too obscure for me. Women fear human trafficking, how come this fear of being abused and used is also a lense on the dirtied notion towards prostitutes? They never wanted it... *inhales deeply to calm herself***

Alex: *sighs and peers at her friend feeling sad abour her analysis*

Kim: We have the accounts of the past. We have a more stable treatment of women now compared to before. Not the best, but we certainly wouldn't want to regress.*Her eyes suddenly shone differently, and there was this strong and deadly aura enveloping her* This sick society, I have no intention of fully catching its virus of conformity that makes the mind rot and easily manipulable, if there is such a word ๐Ÿ˜‚. That's why I have to become stronger.๐Ÿค”

Alex: *blinks* huh?

Kim: ๐Ÿค”Why do you think women who suffered prostitution told their stories to other people? Naturally, that we may learn from it, if there is a possibility of overcoming it, why not? Besides, some prostitutes were able to create a sense of growth out of this shady business, being capable of getting inside information from men in power; which made these people of power feel betrayed since not only did they ejaculate with the help of these women, their most vulnerable moment, the after sex, was with these very women . *scorns*** they already allowed such a whore house to survive in a society that was growing economically, and they very well know how society treated these women and they expect these very women to treat them as their gods? their respite? Foolish, Egoistic... Just like how most men during those times were using prostitutes to relieve them of whatever it was they needed relief from, the same could be applied for prostitutes, they needed a sense of living and to attain that they had to have a sense of accomplishment... the law of survival chooses no gender... we need to learn this from women's perspective. Sadly, a large portion of women who weren't prostitutes hated these very women who couldn't even fight their circumstance. No wonder men who like to fool around got away with it for so long, they pushed the blame on fellow women by calling them temptress, seducer, *scoffs*** and housewives before, since it was socially acceptable for men to have an affair and at the same time socially unacceptable for a woman to be divorced... huala= they make their miserable marriage seem less miserable by making other women miserable.

Alex: *Breathes deeply*** Kim...

Kim: *closes her eyes*** to understand so much of the psychological state of our predecessors can really take a toll on our somewhat liberated mindset, but we have to understand. We need to look at this not so glorious truth. *Opens her eyes with a hint of cynicism as she giggles*** because society never really explains the depth of the law of survival in a way that we wouldn't want to go back to such decrepit line of thinking once we realize its psychopathy. We realize that somehow, this very line of thinking itself was slowly integrated to us by society... The way women have yet to fully overcome the hurdle of prostitution greatly reflects how f***** up our ancestors had passed down the notion that whore houses are dirty when in fact they were projecting their own pathetic dirty self. And how do many blind historians describe them, oh, ~Victors decide how history would be told... more like the obscure analects of Psychopaths who have a decrepit sense of Morals... That we read even up to today...

Alex: ๐Ÿค” then, if knowing this truth would change us, for sure some people would defend and even proactively argue with your sentiments. I mean, as history itself has shown.

Kim: *raises her left eyebrow*** Conformists? They're only afraid of change, because whatever they have today is already comfortable, acceptable, advantageous... for them that is. They selfishly cling unto this because they don't want to change, they see that in this change, the return would be lesser. A low kind of elitism that stomps on the weak, one of these categorically weak humans are prostitutes. *sighs and looks at Alex in the eyes*** That's why I said we look at this truth, we look at it while it looks back at us in all its ugly and full of human hubris form. That's the only way to learn *smirks*** to become it someday, or to take a route humanity has never taken. *speaks in a cheerful voice* Do you want to become another deranged unenlightened fool?

Alex: *taken by surprise and keeps quiet***

Kim: Besides, if prostitutes were alive now, had they been given the chance we now have, I think they would greatly enjoy and enrich themselves of this freedom the people from the lower hierarchy of the prehistoric colonized past...*before continuing there was this raspy sadness to her voice*** could never even dream of...?

Alex: *There was this weak, sad, and a bit of hopeful smile on her face* hmmmmm.

Kim: I wonder why, even now most historians never talk nor teach it for what it really is? Either they are too hurt for these victims, they couldn't do anything about it for fear of being called out as an extremist even though speaking the truth is far from extremism, or they didn't think that their so called enlightenment was really a form of manipulation...

*They both looked at one another, Alex had an I understand look while Kim had a calm and collected look when they both said at the same time***

: inception.

Kim: *continues*** if that were so, no wonder a portion of society became even more pathetic... because they were manipulated without even realizing...

Alex: There are still good historians...

Kim: I know, we have them to thank for that portion of improvement in society, but how come they are so few? Seeking the profession of historians, wanting a noble creed such as accounting the past but never executing its duties in all ways possible, these scums that dirty the work of real historians should go to purgatory, *sarcastically adds* Dante would personally tell them of their sins.

Alex: *laughs at the sudden allusion* You know, they were also blinded, even manipulated, as you've said... by the times.

Kim: The real historians were killed of by the barbaric culture of dog eats dog... Historians who were able to protect their lives were from the enlightened elite *sighs*** awkward to call them that, but nonetheless thankful for their existence. Thank God there is a larger population now of historians explaining history through many lenses. It's confusing, but at least we can see it an a bigger spectrum. Especially women's past. *Smiled a very radiant and hopeful smile.***

Alex: *smiles at Kim and sighs*** Yeah.

*holds unto Kim's hands as they walked.*
