The proposed plan made sense. Agreements were reached. Plans and schedules were setup.
The whole process left me with unsettled loss (and some regret).
If I stayed, I would always be a 'former crew member under strict containment regulations'.
I saw how Ship AI had transitioned me. From a valuable asset to protect at all costs. To liability to evict at a minimum expense of resources.
I was to be spot frozen for cryogenic sleep. Loaded to very low power rescue pod. Shot into the deep.
Reliant completely on the other craft to pick up the pod, thaw me and provide a containment space to live.
Since they were a vintage operation. An operation not sanctioned by current authority (grandfathered). We could not send any new technology. Nearly everything they would gain, would match technology they already had.
The pod would carry me and bucket of inert gel (probably things that used to be my clothes). I did weigh less now. That bucket may hold of my some of my former water weight.
Either way, I am headed over to get frozen solid. I have survived some tough scrapes.
From this point on, I am completely reliant on others. To find me (travelling in deep deepest space in a small low energy pod).
