Numerous times had the Dark Cartel let Morgana look at her target, letting her memorize every single speck and details of the crown prince. Their intel gathered all the necessary data enough for her to know Aiden Trevor Fergus at one glance. His jet-black hair and emerald eyes are one of his most distinguishing characteristics.
He's the real deal…
'Am I still dreaming? I must be, but I do remember going to school, lighting a cigarette…and just now, I was cursing about my mission, why would the crown prince be here?' the young lady thought for a moment as her eyes continued looking at Aiden Trevor Fergus and another student female companion beside him.
She remained lying lazily on the grass, still not caring about her surroundings, although her eyes continued staring at the unbelievable scene.
Yes, she must have been daydreaming, after all, what would the crown prince do here?
"I'm talking to you," his deep voice awakened the sleeping soul of the lady.
Aiden Fergus' deep voice…Aide--
WHAT?!
"Y-your highness!" Morgana Devereaux panicky said, stumbling on her way up to greet the famed successor. Hiding the cigarette behind her back, she could care less if some part of her fingers gets singed. It was hot yet the pain did not show on her face.
This is too unexpected! Everything is happening rapidly; the Cartel will definitely punish her for meeting Aiden Fergus this early.
Oh, how she loathes being her unlucky self.
Morgana admits, she lost her composure back there. She looks like a loser, a beggar scavenging below the feet of a prince, Aiden Trevor Fergus. She felt little under the wide wallowing shadow of the renowned ruler.
She would have eaten her nails on rare occasions like this however she decided to get up on her feet, removing any dirt from her back of her uniform by flapping it repeatedly. Reality has always been her nightmare. How come she had mistaken it for a daydream?
"W-what are you doing here?" she stuttered. Words seem to fly away with him present on the scene.
'What are you doing here?'
'Really Morgana? Do you want to beheaded after staying for a few weeks?' her inner self questioned, she's still unfamiliar on how to act with the presence of a prince and princess around.
Should she imitate those who are living in the past era? Should she bow down?
The Cartel did say she should simply interact with royalties the usual way she would talk with anyone. Due to the modernization, being a prince and princess doesn't require a lot of formalities unlike before.
To avoid looking suspicious, she decided to go with the flow.
Mustering up all the courage to look at those emerald orbs after bowing down for some time, she slowly raises her head.
It was breath-taking to see those beautiful light orbs up-close. It gave her emotions, even herself doesn't know. This was the same boy in that picture she saw before when she was 9.
He's truly a prince, majestic and beautiful to look at, even the mosquitoes will be shy to take a bite on that porcelain-like skin.
"I should be the one asking you that." the cold voice of Aiden Fergus replied.
His eyes grew sore at the unsightly girl in front of him, the creased part of Morgana's uniform did not escape from the scrutinized gazes of the prince. However, what caught his eyes the most is the red necktie the student is wearing…it was knotted in the most horrible way one can perceive.
Clenching his jaw, Aiden continued to search for information regarding the woman once again, tapping his fingers on the widescreen. He did not bother to give another glimpse at the appalling looking student, it will only disappoint him more.
Just by digitally scanning her frame, he already deduced her identity.
'Another stubborn student' he shakes his head mentally; people sometimes act immaturely, maybe that's why his dad, Logan Daxon Fergus, tried to invent a cure before. He cannot blame his dad for doing so, even he wants to make one right now.
{School ID number, 2020-01-003, Morgana Deveraux. Age: 17. Section: S-class}
The crown prince was quite shocked at how an S-class student lingers around at the time where classes should begin. He hid his expression beneath his façade.
You really can't generalize everyone, a deviant always come like this unruly girl before him…
'Tch, not worthy of my time'
"Go to the disciplinary office later, we shall meet again. Carissa, let's go" he urged his school secretary who has been quiet ever since meeting with this Morgana.
She was usually cheerful, Aiden wondered what happened to his girlfriend.
"Ye-yes" the brown-haired girl responded as if being awoken from a daze. She's quite shocked to see a student cutting classes, there's almost one to none who has the guts to cut classes.
It's been a while, she guessed. Aiden began to walk, leaving her. She hugs the three books tighter against her chest.
'She must be a new student' Carissa Devyn thought. Being the secretary of the supreme student council, and a second year, having new students enter Noblesse Academy is still astonishing.
From what renowned family does this student came from?
Carissa Devyn thought, however, looking at her appearance, she can only chuckle silently.
'What a weird person' she slightly shakes her head while sighing. Aiden will surely be in a sour mood the whole day.
She wonders if he will continue their date after this incident and just when she's finally able to make the crown prince agree…
Putting some of her curly hairs at her back, she plastered a very sweet smile.
"Come to our office at around 4 in the afternoon. See you then!" Carissa said before waving goodbye, guess she'll try to convince this moody prince of hers later, it's not this girl's fault that they passed by here.
She was the one who insisted Aiden to pass through the biggest cherry blossom tree and maybe, gets a kiss or two from the crown prince at the back of the giant cherry blossom tree. She thought it was a good idea to sneak a few kisses…
"I'm Carrisa Devyn, by the way!" she gleefully shouted, earning a usual glare from the crown prince. She prepared herself for the lecture later by her so-called boss slash secret boyfriend, "You are too friendly" was Aiden Trevor Fergus' usual line.
Before Morgana could even respond, the two are already far off, their strides were fast enough and from afar, she can clearly see the gap between the rich and poor, the ones with power and those who rebel in order to have that power.
She heaves a long sigh before killing the small fire on the cigarette, another burnt on her hand.
Her eyes went upwards as the wind whistles, what a beautiful day it is, the skies are in light blue colors, however, one thing bothered her mind, Aiden Fergus did not even bother to bid goodbye.
'What were you expecting? He's the crown prince, people bow down on his feet'
Heaving a long sigh, she stomps off the cigarette, crushing down the small fire it has.
Her mouth once again failed her. You can expect her to fight well, to excel in academics, arts and music…but what she cannot learn is how to socialize well, it is an art without a specific step and pattern. She cannot grasp it yet but she'll try again, later, when they meet.
Her long bangs blocking a part of her vision but she's satisfied with just looking at him from afar. He's her target and within the next 100 days, her mission is to make him trust her until she can finally lure him out his shell, his empire.
It didn't end well for their first meeting but how come, she feels her lips forming a smile…dang, those emerald eyes got her this time.
Her right hand fishes out the cellphone given by the Cartel, doing what they exactly instructed.
"I've already met the crown prince," she whispered, her amber eyes piercing thoroughly through the vibrant colors of the sky.
{Congratulations! This officially begins your mission, Day 1 out of 100}
The automated robot named Yin replied.
