The clash created strong shockwaves and clouds of dust. Rocks and sand flew at every direction.
After the dust subsides only Nezu was left standing in the newly created crater and the beast was sent flying and landed heavily in the ground creating cracks around it. Looking at the beast's head you can see that's the place Nezu's punch landed cave in. The beast was bleeding to death.
Breathing heavily, Nezu tried to recall the feeling of power that his punch made earlier and he was filled with excitement, if he can increase the Destruction Element more, maybe he can burst that beast's head open.
'I guess I still need time till my body was further strengthen by my Destruction Element' sighed Nezu, but feeling excited once again after remembering he would get stronger as long he can control this destructive energy.
Feeling exhausted and with sore arms, Nezu quietly sat in the ground while looking at the guards that's fighting in the otherside. 'Their fight should be finish soon.'
Just as Nezu thought, the fight ended just after he rest. But looking at their situation, this group of guards doesn't seem to have a smooth win. With bodies lyed closely to them, they took a break with grim expressions as only 8 of them survived, almost half of their group was killed. Even though Nezu fought the strongest bunch in those beast, the sheer numbers still overwhelmed their party of 15, the most sorry looking in the bunch was Captain Williams himself, as being the only Low Intermediate Rank Elementalist he was automatically has the huge burden.
After calming himself, Captain Williams finally analyze the situation and finds it was particularly odd, there should be no beast that's so close in the main road and they only appear in the deepest parts of the Forest. What's more is the beast's crazy and mad expression that's like they were on drugs...Thinking right here, Captain Williams suddenly jolted and his eyes almost popped out from it's sockets due to this realization.
But there's nothing else he can do, first he didn't have any evidence and if his accusation leaks, and the enemy hears of it, they might get their guard up and it will be impossible to catch the traitor then.
'Since they're after the Young Ladies, I should report this to clan head immediately then' Captain Williams will wait till they arrive at Westia Town before doing any further actions. While Captain Williams still deep in thought, the quiet and depress sorrounding suddenly break with a creak.
Opening the carriage door slowly, Maria peek outside slowly and could see the dead bodies of the guards and beast everywhere which give her huge shock and fear, since she is different from her little sister being she was also a Peak Beginner Rank Elementalist, she quickly recovered from the shock and slowy step down the carriage.
Suddenly, Maria notice that just from the otherside of the roadside was a deep crater and a man was currently sitting and look battered. Realizing that this was the man from before she was shock again because just from looking at the crater formed, there should be a great battle happened just to 'cause that damage.
Having rest for quite a while, Nezu then stand up and stretch a little and feel his body's still sore specially his arm. Then he started approaching the other group and notice that the mature woman was staring at him again.
"Hi, it seems that your group have a tough fight" Nezu said while slowly approaching them.
Then the group of guards just glared at him and was then ignored.
"You're not bad yourself" said Captain Williams, not wanting to offend someone that can kill a Low Intermediate Rank beast, specially seeing this kid is so young and to his guess was only about 18 years old. Although he was also a Low Intermediate Rank Elementalist, he was already in his mid 30s while his subordinate that's in Peak Beginner Rank Elementalist was already in their mid and late 20s. Just with this he thinks that this kid must be from a strong Clan.
"Hehe" then Nezu stare at the mature woman and with a gentlemanly smile he said "Hi there miss I'm Nezu, and seeing that you have too many casualties, I can be your guard until we reach the town." realizing that he still needs a ride to get in a town quickly he have no choice but be a guard for a while.
Seeing that Captain Williams slightly nods at her, Maria then smile at Nezu, "Greeting Sir Nezu, I'm Maria Silver and we gladly accept your offer, are you perhaps a mercenary?" since their movement should be a secret she can only lie about her name.
Not caring what her name was, Nezu then became excited after hearing that there are mercenaries here. 'So mercenaries are a thing here huh? Since I have nothing else to do I guess being a mercenary is a good way to train myself and prepare for that Demon King' thought Nezu seriously after thinking about the Demon King.
"Nah I'm just a wandering swordsman" said Nezu with a smile after realizing that the woman was waiting for his answer.
'Swordsman?' Captain Williams was dumbfounded because Nezu just borrowed his sword and now he said he's a swordsman? What kind of swordsman that wander without a sword.
Not continuing that topic, Captain Williams then command the remaining guards to bury the dead ones and prepare for continuing their journey.
Since they're from a Noble Clan Guards they didn't care about the materials from the dead beast. And Nezu being new to this world didn't know about this and just mount the spare horse and continue their journey.
After a day of journey they finally arrive at Westia Town.
Seeing the high walls like rocks and those thick metal doors thats wide enough to let 20 people to get in side by side without problems.
'So I'll start my adventure here' thought Nezu while thinking about his next plans.
