Chapter 1 - A normal day

The girl with the red hair was sitting on the cold tiles of the girl's restroom. Before she could open her eyes again, a new bucket full of dirty water was dumped over her.

β€žAt least you got your weekly hair wash, Yukiko."

One of her Classmates began to laugh, as she left the room with the other girls.

Yukiko Shimone, a 16 year old Student, that was desperately wishing for her last days of high school to come.

Slowly she stood up again. The second break ended five minutes ago. The girl looked at herself in the mirror and knew, she could not let herself be seen like this in front of the teachers.

Her hands tightly held onto the sink and appearantly they didn't want to let go anymore.

Her reflection showed exactly how she felt. Exhausted, tired and actually a bit hungry. The last feeling though had nothing to do with what happened there a moment ago.

Of course the best solution to her problem would be to finally stand up to those people. But it was easier said than done. It was the hard way. To just endure it until high school was over seemed to be so much easier. After all Yukiko just had to grit her teeth for one more year.

Yukiko sighed. She could simply go home. Until her Mather came home, she could shower and claim that she felt sick and that's why she left earlier.

That seemed like a good plan. However it was interrupted by loud knocking against the door.

"Yukiko, get out. I wouldn't want to come inside because of obvious reasons."

A male voice rang through. A voice Yukiko knew too well.

It was a person, that Yukiko could trust.

"Noone but me is in here."

The door opened.

A boy with brown Hair and brown eyes carefully entered. He looked to the left and ride side before he approached the girl.

The boy had long lashes and the middle of his bottom lip was decorated with a mole.

He sat next to Yukiko on the wet floor.

"I saw Sakura and the rest of her squad laughing when they excited the rest room. After what happened last year I was worried."

The boy looked into Yukikos green eyes. The two of them knew each other for a year now and after some ups and downs, they became good friends.

"Thanks, Hiroto."

She noticed how Hiroto stroked her hair back and out of her face.

Whenever she needed him he was there. Even though he could have been popular. Yukiko always overheard how many girls in her class fancied him and how well he got along with the guys. Yet he spent his free time on her.

The girl looked up and suddenly saw a huge grin spreading on Hiroto face. A wide grin that normally meant nothing but trouble.

"Yukiko, we should totally skip school."

"Wait. That's not necessary. I can just say I'm sick. You don't need to-"

Hiroto interrupted her.

"I don't want to skip school because of you. I want to do it because it's my senior year. No excuses like being sick. We'll just leave and go have some fun."

He barged in with his idea as if there was no teacher at the gate observing the students behavior. That teacher made sure that not a single student left without a reason.

She eyed her friend sceptically.

"Don't worry Yuki, I have a plan."

Hiroto took her hand and dragged the girl after himself.

Just when she wanted to protest, he stopped her from speaking again.

"Just play along. This will be fun."

The hallways the ran through, seemed to be shorter than usually. Maybe that was because of their pace.

Yukiko couldn't hold in her laughter any longer.

This childish behavior. Running in the hallways without caring what others could think and escaping consequences.

If the world ended now that would be okay for her.

If the world ended and her best friend was by her side that would be okay.

If the world ended and she could laugh while it happened that would be beautiful.
