Chapter 5 - The Gossip Master, Veteran of The Forums

To explain the situation, it isn't necessary to explain.

That was always how Lord Grim does his work. Living life without working for a long time is boring and he had resorted to the very much so more interesting forum life. During this, he had both created and shared rumours and news.

These angry avatars screaming at him is also a common occurrence. Although he was a level 1 character, he had practiced evading angry people (and experienced even more than he practiced) to the point where even level 20s will have a hard time hitting him. That was probably why he had a naturally high evasion multiplier when (if) his master calls him to work.

"I know you're the one who told that bastard about this! Who else could smell a gossip from miles away like you! I don't know how you found those pictures but you better destroy them now or I'll hunt you for the rest of your life!" the angry avatar was not a very familiar one, but Lord Grim knew his gossips- ehem, his information network like the back of his hand.

"Ooh, you must be the lady who stole One Autumn Leaf's precious sweethearts. I didn't know you were such an emotional girl. If I did, I'd probably censor the picture for you," Lord Grim couldn't help the taunt that naturally left his lips.

The poor abandoned newbie was being dragged off somewhere by the bartenders and the tavern owner facepalmed at the common occurrence.

"Will he ever stop doing that?" the owner's exasperated voice murmured under the chaotic sounds around him.

The originally tranquil atmosphere has completely boiled over into a rowdy mess. As usual, the tavern will never be quiet with Lord Grim around. Even if there were no one hunting him at the time, Lord Grim will still attract various attention when in a place like the tavern. There was one time when he entered the tavern normally and no one called him out. He was so quiet and the owner who glanced at him was a little surprised yet happy. Unknowingly, the owner had let his guard down. In less than an hour, the patrons of his bar had completely gravitated towards the Lord Grim on the side. He was sharing secrets, telling gossips and giving tips that would surely invite more people to hunt him down, again.

Of course it ended up being a very angry-screams-and-seething-filled atmosphere in the tavern for the whole week after.

The bystanders never did joined in but always somehow contributed to the atmosphere and rowdy noises of the bar. The avatars who didn't know about the ruckus soon found out, along with the famous name of Lord Grim.

"Who's that?"

"You don't know? Do you live in a rock? Have you ever browsed the forums at all?"

"Hey, I'm still pretty new. Who is he?"

"Of course that's Lord Grim."

"His sources are always reliable and his news very interesting."

"Unless it's a hearsay from his own mouth. His posts are more reliable than his own mouth!!"

"What? That girl messed with THE One Autumn Leaf?"

"He's always been a veteran of the forums. No one knows it better than Lord Grim and no one can resist him in his domain..."

"Careful to not get in his bad side. No keyboard fighters can resist his troll army."

"It's more weird that he has a lot of die-hard fans in the forums too."

"If you've never heard of Lord Grim in the forums, you should get out of that rock you lived under."

"Truly a master of gossips, unafraid of anyone..."

"Fearless and well-informed. He's a formidable person online but he's just a level one avatar?"

"They said he had tremendous experience because he has no work."

"An abandoned avatar? But he's so lively, man."

"I heard some say that he got his skills from listening to his friend's master while at work."

"Then his friend is better right?"

"No, no, no, I heard the One Autumn Leaf gave him free reign over the online forums."

The ceaseless chatter of some-praising-some-questioning the mighty Lord Grim only served to irk the orange-haired avatar even more. It didn't take long before she couldn't stand the rage inside her and screamed out with a ferocious expression.

"F*ck! Lord Grim, you-! Come and beg to this sister and apologize!" The growled words came along with the summoning of a large cannon on the female avatar's hands.

"See if you can even run outside before I reach the end of the street, Dancing Rain!" Lord Grim taunted as he ran outside with a pair of raised fingers in the middle of his waving palms.

Dancing Rain harrumphed once with clear agitation before sprinting off to chase Lord Grim.
