I woke up and got up this morning at around 9AM. I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, etc... and quickly ran downstairs.
I wanted to finish the english homework I had saved for today early. That way, I could relax for the rest of today. I had to fill out a worksheet and do a mini project. The worksheet took me around 20 minutes; it was just some questions on a packet.
The mini project took me around an hour. I had to make a bumper sticker based on Emerson's "Self-Reliance" passage. In the passage he continually references trusting yourself as opposed to following the crowd, so I wrote the words "TRUST YOURSELF" in bold letters and colored them in. I then drew a picture of a crowd saying "We don't agree with you" and a person in front at a pedestal saying "I don't care". Overall I think it turned out quite alright and I was relieved once I was finished to have all my work done.
By the time I was finished with all of this work, it was around 10:30 and I had a conversation with my mother. I asked her if I could get dropped off at taco bell later today. She was planning to go into town later anyways and would pass by, so she agreed.
At around 11:30 I realized I hadn't had any breakfast. I wasn't all that hungry, but I used this as an excuse to make some coffee. I boiled some water on the stove and added some instant coffee crystals to the mix. I could've used the authentic coffee pot but I was honestly too lazy for that.
After the coffee was finished being made, I added some mocha creamer (my personal favorite) and sat down to drink. I listened to some music and talked on discord as I enjoyed my hot beverage.
I had a conversation with my mother about getting my learner's permit for driving. It wasn't until recently that my mother had found out that having a learner's permit for one year is a requirement to obtain a license.
Being 16 years old and a junior at school, everyone I know already has atleast a permit, if not a license. In fact, recently I mentioned in english class that I didn't have a permit. When I said this people were insanely confused and I was ridiculed. "What the hell, do you not want to drive or something?!?" remarked a classmate and I felt awful.
The truth is that I can't get my license until I'm 18 and I go to college. Insurance would cost way to much at 16. However, there is no reason for me to not get my permit. In my state, you don't have to pay insurance to hold a permit and it's certainly important to get practice. Hopefully I can sign up for the required courses and get it soon.
Soon after, I messaged a few of my friends to see if anyone wanted to go to taco bell. A friend of mine responded and scrounged up some money to pay for himself. My younger brother also decided he would attend the occasion and him and I used the t-mobile tuesdays app to make our costs very low.
Using t mobile tuesdays, we got our drink for free. I ordered a beefy fritos burrito and a chicken quesadilla melt while my brother ordered just a beefy fritos burrito. Our total came to just over three dollars.
My friend got a 5 for $5. It came with a crunchy taco, a Doritos Locos Taco, a three layer nachos, a beefy frito burrito, and a drink. He seemingly enjoyed himself.
We stayed in taco bell for around an hour. We talked, laughed, and had a good time. The food and drink today was of utmost quality and I already can't wait to go again. Especially amazing was the chicken quesadilla melt; it was so rich in flavor. I removed the somewhat spicy sauce they usually put on it and it tasted amazing.
After leaving the tacobell, we began the drive home. On the way back, my mother dropped my friend off and it was soon after that I arrived back home. I realized I should probably check discord.
The server was booming. I listened to music as I engaged with my general community. We talked about numerous topics, including a lot of tech-related discussion such as new processors being released. Maybe it's nerdy to use discord to talk about pc hardware, but in my opinion it's perfectly fine.
A member was asking whether a ryzen 9 3900x or an intel core i9 9900k would be a better purchase. I told him that the 3900x was far superior as it beats the 9900k is just about everything aside strict gaming. It higher core count can lead to great benefits in applications that can take advantage of it and its amazing IPC makes it nearly as good in single core speed. It's overall a better processor and also has more future upgradability. AMD is totally winning in 2019.
Shortly after having this conversation, I realized it was past 10PM and I needed to upload my daily chapter at some point. I began writing at around 10:15 and I am now finishing at around 10:45. I hope you all enjoyed today's string of events, peace out.
