"Rea! it's me, Julian"
"Julian? who's that?" *indifferent but thinking*
"He's my best friend's son, your childhood friend" my mom answered
"Rea, don't you remember me? we used to play a lot together" Julian said
"Wait so... you're my childhood friend? that childhood friend of mine who's someone I've never seen for more than 12 years?" *sarcastically*
"yes! wow you did not change at all, how are you?" -julian *excited*
"wait! okay, I get the fact that you're my "childhood friend" but why are you here? and looking like that" I answered *rudely*
"Well sweetie, why don't you let Julian wear something first? and while he's at it, I'm going to explain it to you okay?"
"okay" - *obedient*
My mom explained to me that Julian just got back from Japan last month and that he has nowhere to go right now because his mom just passed away. Hence the reason why I'm going to have to live with him for the mean time.
I went to the living room and chilled there. Julian just finished preparing himself. He walked slowly and shyly towards me. I can feel that he feels rather..... shy?
"Ahm...Rea, I'm sorry that I'm freeloading here at your house" he said sadly
I can really see that he feels bad. The fact that his mom just died must've been a shocked for him and has affected his mental health so much. From what I remember uncle left them way back when we were still kids.
"It's okay, there's extra room anyways" I smiled at him
He and I were really close back then anyways...
He jumped to me and hugged me tightly.
"You're the best, rae-rea! thank you" he said why acting like a kid
I couldn't help it, after remembering that he's the same guy who used to be my only friend. I rubbed his head gently and told him "you're welcome yan yan" *smiles*
DINNER
Julian : What do you want to eat? I'll cook for you. Anything you want! my rea-rea.
Rea: Don't call me rae-rae, we're not kiddos anymore. And I'm not yours! *pout*
Julian : why? you called me yan yan earlier too. *sad*
Rea: I just want a cup noodles today, I miss cup noodles.
Julian : At your service rae-rae.
I don't know if it's just my imagination but I can feel that, Julian's trying to look strong and unaffected in front of me.
We ate dinner together, I was so tired from my flight so I went to bed right after dinner.
THE NEXT MORNING
Julian :rea-rea, come eat breakfast☺️
Rea: Julian do you like cooking that much?
Julian : yes, I'm a pro😁
Well he does cook really good, not gonna lie.
"Rea! I'm here, are you ready?" a voice from downstairs
*climbing stairs*
Luna :Rea, you're not even ready yet.
Rea: 😅 well, I woke up pretty late.
Luna : Get ready now, I'll wait for you downstairs. (sees Julian)
Luna : 👀 who's that?
Rea: Oh him? it's Julian *emotionless*
Luna : you mean Julian? as in your childhood friend? *surprised and excited*
Rea: yeah...
Luna : 😳
Julian : Hey Luna, How are you?
Luna : h-hey...
Rea: What's wrong with you Luna?
Luna : nothing! eveything's fine just go get ready alreadyyyyy!!!!
Rea: Okay okay, why are you rushing?
