Disappointed as she was, Selene decided to go back to her room leaving Dalton and Spain speaking.
She took out her notebook from the bookshelf which she regard as her faith journal to the god, Isa, that protects and prosper the land. If it is labeled as faith journal, no one can open it unless the owner has been canonized as a saint. That has been the tradition of the new world she is in.
Selene scanned back to the writings she made. She have a hunch that this is when the plot will begin when she is regarded as an extra character from a tragic novel she was reading when she was 'Magi'.
According to the novel, "Who Killed My Countess?", she is an extra character who was sacrificed by a dark mage to unlock his power. Spain, on the other hand, is the main male lead who tragically lost his fiancee after being given the title of Count and Countess when their engagement has been announced. Selene was framed for Spain's mother's death which is linked to the Assassin's Guild. He loved Selene. Maybe that explains why she is attracted to Spain's charms and how sweet her fiance is to her. But, Spain, in the novel, took her countess title and put her in exile. While in exile, she was kidnapped by the mage. She was proven innocent by her own death when the mage sacrificed her to unlock his power and unleash his wrath in the kingdom. What intrigues her more is that she cannot recall the exact name or appearance of the powerful mage who harmed her from the novel.
What she knew is that the Assassin's Guild helped to defeat the powerful mage and for Spain to get the highest honorable title in the kingdom. During the process to unlock secrets behind her death, Spain meet people and solve mysteries. But, what if she's the one to do it instead of Spain? Would she avoid her timely death?
