Chapter 33 - The Keyboard Warrior 2

Outside of social media, CryingInTheWind was a good-for-nothing, high school graduate. He had no stable job and lived a "nomadic" lifestyle. After some time wandering around on the streets, he had joined a group where he learnt about the existence of the profession of being a keyboard warrior. Not long later, he became a professional.

Initially, he just diligently followed the instructions of his employers, following their pointers and slandering his victims. Slowly, he began to experience the joy within this career. Every time he gifted each glamorous and glorified celebrity with abusive criticism, adrenaline pumped through his veins, leaving him in the intoxicated and satisfied state. In his mind, he vented all his annoyance at these people who had life so easy.

Aren't you all glorious and beautiful in your everyday life? So what? Daddy here could still thoroughly soil your reputation with all of my slurs!

Owing to his gratification, his ability to slander improved day by day. The same could be said for its severity. Eventually, he got addicted to the high state he obtained from his job. It got so bad that when he was unemployed, he still prowled around Weibo, searching for his next victim. That was the case with Jinli. He was offering an uncalled-for, unpaid service.

In his eyes, a beauty like Jinli was a Goddess. Someone that he could only look up at, someone that was permanently unreachable for a brute like him. As he gazed upon these idols, his mind always ran wild with imagination. In the land of his fantasies, he had made it big and rich. He could do whatever he wished to these enchanting, charismatic female artistes. His vile thoughts were so crude and savage, they would have placed him as the epitome of evil even within all the sleazy and creepy men in the industry.

At this moment, in a dark and gloomy room, he sat all alone at his table. His home was just a cramp room, with dirt-cheap rent. It was perfect for a jobless freelancer like him. Compared to Jinli's refined villa, this room was narrow and suffocating, almost devoid of any form of furnishing. His only furniture, a table, was strewn with all sorts of lunchboxes and empty drink cans. There he sat, staring eerily at Jinli's response, with a beer in his hand. As he read through it, a sinister, cold smirk pulled across his cheeks.

How should I screw around with her again later? What? I will get retribution? What kind? Who do you think I am? Up till today, how many people have been crushed by my words? If retribution truly exists, I am sure I would be bones by now!

Sniggering maniacally, his lips touched his can.

What the heck! No more again?

Cursing under his breath, he pushed his heavy body off his seat. In the midst of it, his feet landed on an unknown object.

His legs crumbled and his body fell backwards, crashing onto the table.

With a loud snap, the table gave way. Following, his vision swirled as the back of CryingInTheWind's skull broke the wooden table in one violent crash. His eyes winced as a sharp pain pierced through his mind. Before he could even curse out loud, his mind went blank.

  ...

Of course, the fuming Jinli was unaware of the instant retribution. However, somehow a part of her knew it. This man would not be in a good state for long after cursing her.

Ignoring the haters, she privately messaged the 10 lucky fans that she had chosen. Upon acquiring the contact details and their addresses, she sent out her intricate and fortune-filled Good Luck Charms. Before she could even receive the return gifts from her fans, her phone rang. It was a call from the production team of << Survival on the Uninhabited Island >>.

She would be picked up tomorrow and brought to their filming site. A list of things to note was given to her and they gently reminded her of the packing list.

It was not until Jinli was on her way to the filming site that the landlord found the unconscious CryingInTheWind.

While travelling from the Capital to the Uninhabited Island in the middle of the sea took more than 4 hours, the filming began the moment the stars boarded the vehicle. As with all filming, the videographer and the accompanying aides helped Jinli in the process. Despite being professionals, they could not focus on filming in the presence of Jinli's dazzling beauty.
