Yune sat alone on a train going nowhere at all. She was unsure of what to do. Mizu was dead. Eli was hospitalized. She was basically a zombie. While she sat alone, there were two other guys just talking with each other. They were well-dressed and strong-built. Yune just listened in.
"Yeah, man. She's so annoying. Might just end it with her," one of them said.
"Really? Then, you wouldn't mind if I take her for a while one of these nights," the other replied.
"Sure. sure. Not like she's very smart either. Always talking about some new purse or clothes. All these women want is money, anyways."
"I know the feeling. After we finish dealing with the old man and get the money, we should go get some drinks at one of the clubs nearby. Heard there were some pretty women in that section. Might get your mind off things."
They laughed as if it was a joke. Yune couldn't stand it. Why were people like them still alive, when innocent people suffered? She didn't know why, but she couldn't keep listening. She stood up and confronted them.
Yune said with only a cold feeling inside her gut, "Why are you able to enjoy yourselves? Why are you able to live so freely?"
The two guys looked at each other confused.
"You know this kid?" one asked the other completely ignoring Yune.
Yune's eyes turned white with black scleras. In a blink of an eye, she transformed with a barrage of chains. The other two froze in shock as the girl they were looking at transformed into something dark. Something sinister. She even kept the mask on.
Yune held her hook high and struck down against one of them. He didn't even feel a thing as his brain splattered across the seat and windows. The other shot up with a scream. He quickly reacted by taking out a switch-knife to defend himself.
Yune kept striking at the already dead man with cold, dead eyes.
The other man didn't know what was happening. All he could think of was that he faced a monster. Then, Yune looked right at the other man's eyes. Her white irises. Her black scleras. They gave off an aura of fear and death. Her white armor was shrouded within a shroud of black.
The man screamed as he tried to defend himself. He tried to stab the monster he saw before him, but when the knife hit her, it broke in two. And right before he could bring back his arm, the girl grabbed it. With one flick of her wrist, chains slithered onto the man's arm and constricted it. He screamed, but there was no one else on that train-car.
Then, Yune let go of his arm. Not because she felt remorse, but she didn't want this to end. She wanted to feel something. Anything. And she thought she would feel better by getting rid of these two scumbags.
The train came to stop and the man ran. There was nobody outside. He ran as fast as he could, and tried to hold his arm together at the same time.
But Yune didn't need to give chase. She walked right outside and spun her hook around her hand. Then, as the man was running away, Yune threw in her hook. It hooked straight into his calf. Yune pulled him back dragging him on the floor as he screamed. But nobody would hear his screams. And even if they did, Yune didn't think anybody would or could do anything.
Then, when Yune was right on top of him, he begged and pleaded for his life.
"Please. Please. Don't kill me," he begged.
"Why were scum like you allowed to live?"
"Please... I don't want to die."
"Your begging disgusts me."
"You can't do this to me. I'm a member of the Dragon Kaiser Gang. You can't do this to me!"
Yune's chains moved without her even needing to. They wrapped themselves around the man's neck and choked him. The sound of his chokes and gargling were abhorrent. But Yune didn't care. When it was over, all Yune said was, "Why are scum like you allowed to live? Why are scum like me allowed to live? Why isn't Mizu alive? Why couldn't Mizu be alive instead of me?"
Yune hated everything around her. She walked away with no hurry and transformed back into her normal self while nobody was around.
She walked into the busy streets. The blood that was on her disappeared as with her transformation. As she looked around and saw all of the people ignoring everybody else, she began to hate them all. She hated Jack for taking away Mizu. She hated the world and fate for allowing Mizu to die a pointless death. And most of all, she hated herself the most. She looked at a reflection of herself in one of the glass panes and saw a monster. A cold-blooded creature no different than a Night Demon.
And she walked away not caring about the two people she killed, but she did have a thought. She remembered the man giving her the name of the gang he belonged to. The Dragon Kaiser Gang. She thought it would be worth finding out more about this gang and putting them all in their place. She didn't care about hunting Night Demons. She cared about hunting monsters. Humans. Light Guardians. Night Demons. They could all be monsters.
