As Jack was about to leave, she noticed Night Demons beginning to spawn near the dead, but right before Jack would attack them, they would scatter into the cracks of concrete escaping.
It was unfortunate that more Night Demons had spawned, but she could no longer stay there. The sirens came even closer and the monsters had dispersed.
She looked around and saw one car still running. An old red civic. It was roughed up, but the engine was still running. It seemed to be stuck in a pothole, but that was no problem for Jack's strength. She went over to the driver seat and saw that the driver was still there hiding and shivering behind the wheel. His eyes were completely shut.
Jack tore open the door and lifted the driver out of the car.
"Oh, please don't kill me!" he yelled frightened with his eye still closed.
"Hey, I'm going to be stealing this car," Jack said.
As soon as he heard that it wasn't a monster, he became confused and opened his eyes.
"What the-!" the driver exclaimed before he took a look at her - a terrifying red demon. Just as frightening as the monster before. The next moment, he screamed and fainted. Jack dropped the guy on the concrete before lifting the car out of the pothole.
Jack got in and the whole car drooped down. She transformed back into human form and began to drive away albeit with only a few swerving.
As she drove away, the police cars passed by her as she slowly drove away. The loud sirens went further and further away as she drove back home.
She knew that Annie was in the city, and now she had a reason to stay. She also thought about getting some help for it. She thought that Yune would help and although, she didn't like the idea, she knew that having Mary would be helpful, too. Mary's mind control powers would be very helpful in gathering information. She could easily ask anybody if they knew or saw Annie, and there would be nothing they could do. The only problem with it was that she couldn't ask other Light Guardians, but even with that drawback, that was a major advantage to them.
The more people, the better. And out of all the people she could trust, it would have to be them. She couldn't rely on other Light Guardians. Luckily, she didn't consider herself or Yune and Mary as Light Guardians, but something different.
And throughout the whole drive back, she kept her sinister smile. But as soon as she saw her face in the mirror, she only stopped for a moment, but then kept smiling as if she couldn't control it. But in the end, she didn't care and kept driving.
