CHAPTER 30
Gee and Yibo were smiling at each other as they met holding each other's most precious companions, her bike and his skateboard.
Gee: How was it senior Yibo?
Yibo: It was good
Gee: (smiling and excited) really?
They are walking together along with Mr. Zhang few steps from them. Mr. Zhang smiles to them as he arrived.
Mr. Zhang: What could be the reason of your gathering here? (smiling)
Gee: We just met here Mr. Zhang
Moru: Good day Mr. Zhang (bowed)
Mr. Zhang: Oh Mr. Moru, nice to see you, what brings you here? And whats with your outfit? (looking at Gee and Moru)
Moru: (bowing) thank you very much for taking care of he-him! And about our outfit, we just had a ride with our bike coming here.
Gee: Mr. Zhang (bowed) thank you very much for letting me bring my bike here even though you have forbidden me before, but you still granted my wish to bring it here
Mr. Zhang: ah I see, so he was really that excited about his bike huh
Yuna: Hey you two, why are you being so formal with each other? Of course he has to take care of Gee.
Maya: yeah, you are cousins right?
Gee and Moru were both surprised and just realized about it.
Gee: ah yeah haha
Moru: but Mr. Zhang is still one of the bosses
Mr. Zhang: no its okey, cousin Moru hahaha
Gee and Moru both coughed from hearing it and felt awkward.
Moru: Oh I see haha thank you cousin –
Yuna: hey Jean, have you seen Gee's bike already?
Moru felt relieved when Yuna seemed to save him from that moment.
Mr. Zhang: oh not yet (leaning his head)
Yibo: wanna try it? (showing the bike, but he smirked)
Gee, Leo, Se Ju and Maya got excited looking at him as if they are waiting for something exciting. Yibo and Yuna were teasing him with their look and smirk.
Mr. Zhang: Maybe next time
Yibo leaned to Gee and whispered something.
Yibo: He doesn't know how to ride.
Gee: (shocked) really??? Then, why don't we teach him-
Yibo immediately covered Gee's mouth with his left hand wrapping her while his right hand holding Gee's bike while she is still holding his skateboard. Yibo was just fake smiling while Gee was trying to remove his hand.
When she was able to remove his hand. She gave Yibo a glare.
Gee: what was that for senior Yibo?
Yibo: That's what you get for being slow
Gee: slow? How did I become slow?
Yibo: (sighed then shaking his head) When things are whispered, it means it shouldn't be heard by others.
Gee: well, I know that
Yibo: (raised his left eyebrow with bored eyes) really?
Gee: Yeah!
Yibo: (raised his eyebrows higher) what do you know?
Gee: that Mr. Zhang doesn't know how to-
Yibo and Mr. Zhang widened their eyes looking at her gesturing to stop from what she was about to reveal. She didn't understood it first but for a few seconds of processing the look of the two giving her, she finally realized.
Gee: ah I see (nodding)
Yibo just sighed shaking his head looking disappointed at her.
Yibo: You're not slow huh?
Gee just gave an open teeth wide smile in return.
Se Ju, Mr. Zhang, Yuna and Moru were smiling and laughing looking at the two while Leo and Maya were trying to smile.
Mr. Zhang: Why are we still here outside by the way?
They seemed to realized about it so they started to walk their way inside.
Gee: ah Mr. Zhang- John
Yuna: Jean
Leo: Here we go again with her naming
The three laughed at what Leo said.
Mr. Zhang: Just call me Mr. Zhang, if your just going to give me another name.
Gee: ah Mr. Zhang, Yuna, me and Moru will go somewhere else first hehe we still have something to settle first (smiling wide looking at Moru)
Moru just sighed upon remembering that he still has to pay.
Yibo: (looking at Gee) going for another ride? (handing back her bike and taking back his skateboard)
Gee: sort of (smiling) hehe he has to treat me for dinner as my prize for winning against him.
Mr. Zhang: ah I see, then we are heading first.
Yuna: Hey don't eat too much okey
Gee nodded to her. Moru and Yuna exchanged smiles to each other.
Maya: see you tomorrow Gee (smiling)
She smiled back that made her blush. Se Ju and Leo also waved bye to her as they walk inside. Yibo also took his steps to get inside.
Gee: See you on Wednesday senior Yibo. (smiling at him)
Yibo stopped and turned his head but didn't look at her directly, he just raised his hand. Gee smiled then she turned to Moru. They both ride their bikes and pushed the pedals going for their next race.
Before Yibo took his steps he turned to look at Gee, he saw how genuinely happy she is while pushing the pedals and teasing Moru and how happy they are together. He smiled looking at her then he walked back inside.
His manager, his assistant and his two body guards were waiting for him beside the car. They were just looking at him with surprised and curious eyes because he was looking different from earlier.
Manager: He seemed to cheer up now after meeting his friends.
Assistant: Yeah
Bg1: That kid from before
Bg2: Yeah, the one who beat him during their chapter senpai's farewell event.
Several weeks had passed. Gee and Leo are just exchanging positions of their ranking every week. Emma is always ranking first in the female group. Yuna is always ranking top 5 but according to their trainers, she was improving rapidly compared to her previous trainings that made her to rank 2nd for 3 consecutive weeks. Maya always makes it to top 4. Se Ju was also improving thanks to Gee and Leo's help. They would have extra practice for 1 hour after their training.
Gee's piano skills is also improving as Mr. Zhang always make sure he can teach her twice a week as Sean and Mr. Zhang that made Gee had a conclusion that they are just one person.
Gee: Mr. Zhang, do you really have a twin brother? It seems like whenever I talk to senior Sean, I'm having a feeling that I am just talking to you.
Mr. Zhang: (sweating in panic) Of -of course! We are twins,
Gee: hmm, okey
Mr. Zhang gulped in relief from that close call.
During Gee's day off from training, she would have 1 hour riding her bike before she goes to the rooftop and have a practice there. Yibo would also teach her riding the skateboard whenever Yibo has no schedule or he would finish early.
One morning when Gee was about to take a ride instead of her usual jog, she was surprised to see another racing bike parked beside hers. She was trying to remember it then she got excited when she realized it was Yibo's bike. Its colors were red and black with green linings almost the same with his skateboard. She was exploring Yibo's bike with her eyes when he suddenly appeared from her back.
Yibo: What are you doing? (leaning to her)
Gee: yah! (startled and got out of balance from her sitting)
She fell leaning on Yibo's chest and she was sitting on almost on his lap. She turned her head to look at him but she was very surprised to see him up close she seemed frozen with her eyes wide open. Yibo have to snap to wake her back.
Gee: senior Yibo!
She was just looking at him. Yibo thought that Gee was blushing but its just the reflection of the red light from the elevator near them.
Yibo felt so proud to make her blush so he smirked confidently. From a distance, Leo was about to go to her as he was wearing a running outfit but he stopped when he saw what happened. He was very shock to see how Yibo smiled from how close he got to Gee when she seemed to be sitting on him leaning to his chest.
Leo: I-is senior Yibo…
Yibo: (usual facial expression) why are you looking at my bike?
Gee: wah! I knew it! It was yours! (excited)
Yibo smirked as his usual reaction.
Gee: Aha! You want to race with me? (teasing him)
Yibo: Not really, I'll just let you have senpai's helmet for the mean time.
Gee: (pouted her lips glaring at him) Hah! So confident huh? I will make sure you won't have it!
Yibo: (smirked) In your dreams
Gee: just so you wait! (she puts her helmet on but the snaps wouldn't lock)
Yibo: (shaking his head as he reached for it and fix it for her) how did you become a professional cyclist when you couldn't put this on properly
Leo was still in his spot watching the two and still couldn't believe what is happening. He was feeling mixed emotions.
Leo: If he is, then… Gee is also… then that means… it's okey for me to…
Gee and Yibo both rode on their bikes with smile on their faces as they were about to have their first ride as brothers.
Several weeks have passed. Gee was able to maintain her ranking as the top idol trainee and Leo was always second to her in the male group. Yuna's ranking has also improved that she was able to always rank second to Emma in the female group.
Despite the changes in ranking, Leo and Gee became closer than ever, though he gets jealous whenever he sees Yibo and Gee are riding together every morning with their bikes or practicing skateboard.
Whenever Yibo and Gee has time to have lunch together at the cafeteria, during Yibo's schedule, they would always fight because Yibo is always drinking her bottled water after she have a first sip then Yibo will drink it all up with a little left for her. But despite that, after the evaluation every week, Yibo would treat her in the ice cream house.
Yuna and Moru are still exchanging messages and recipes. They had cooked together for two times in their unit and had lunch together with Sean and Mr. Zhang.
Yibo and Sean's last day as trainers has come. They are all gathered together for a joint training for that day.
After the formal vocalization and choreography training. Sean and Yibo has given them advices and tips about singing, dancing and performing and had shared some of their recent experiences. Everyone were feeling sad by the moment of their last minutes as their trainers. Sean was not able to contain his emotion so he cried out loud like a child giving them hugs and bro hugs to the boys.
Yibo was also giving them hugs and brohugs but not as tight as Sean hugs them back specially with the girls. When it was Gee's turn to hug him, their eyes met that Gee was trying not to laugh but she failed and burst to laugh that she was not able to hug him. Yibo just released an air shaking his head looking at her. So he just raised his right palm while his other hand on his waist waiting for her to give him a high five. When she was about to hit his palm Yuna pushed her as she passed her going to Sean. Gee was surprised she got out of balance so she fell on Yibo's chest. Everyone turned their head looking at them with a suspicious look but Gee put her arms to Yibo's back and tapped his back so they ended up giving brohugs to each other to ease the awkward silence. Gee's somehow shocked by the so she was not aware that she was hitting Yibo's back with a little force so he thought that she was provoking him so he tapped her back with a little force that made Gee think that he was provoking her. Yibo thought that she was fighting back so he hit her again, then Gee him back also. They exchanged hits for a number of times that made everyone laugh.
Ms. Kim: (puling them away from each other) You two (shaking her head) Couldn't have a day together without a fight huh?
Everyone laughed at them but were entertained watching the them. Yuna, Sean, Kite, Ms. Nana and Ms. Geronimo were smiling looking at them still teasing and provoking each other.
When Yuna was in front of her brother Sean, she bowed to him instead of responding to his welcoming arms that made him cry even more so Kite and Yibo consoled him even though they felt embarrassed by him. When he calmed down.
Sean: Everyone, before I leave you as one of your vocalization trainers, would like to sing you a song from my upcoming album to be released next year but this is just a secret between us okey? (smiling)
Everyone's sad faces turned into a smile and they all sat ready to listen to his song. Everyone were captivated by his soft and soothing voice. Some of them are even closing their eyes listening and feeling the emotion of his singing. Gee was all ears and eyes to him, Yibo was just looking at her instead of Sean.
After Sean's warm and soothing singing, everyone were amazed and were feeling inspired that they gave him a very warm applause. Some of them were wiping their eyes even Ms. Kim and Ms. Geronimo. It was a song about farewell and looking forward to seeing each other in the future.
Gee was inspired by the message of his song and the way how sincerely Sean had sang it for them. She turned to look at Yibo and she smiled wide when their eyes met. Yibo arced a smile on his face as his response to her both are looking forward to meet each other in the future, in the same stage performing together.
They bowed to Sean and shouted.
Trainees: Thank you very much senior Sean and senior Yibo, we will see you in the stage in the future!
Sean was trying not to cry again as he bows back together with Yibo.
Sean: Thank you very much! Farewell and goodluck!
Yibo: Thank you as well and goodluck!
Two weeks had passed since that day. Even though they have said their farewell, Yibo is still teaching Gee at the rooftop during his day off from work or before he go out. They still ride in their bikes in the morning sometimes or practicing skateboard. Yibo would throw 3 energy bars to her whenever he comes from his schedule before he takes the elevator whenever they would see each other after their training.
One night before their day off, Mr. Zhang came to Gee and Yuna's unit. Gee got so excited when she opened the door for him.
Gee: Mr. Zhang! Yoh! ( raising her right hand while holding her phone on the left with an ear piece on her left ear)
Mr. Zhang: Yoh! (got confused)
Gee: (removed the ear piece and put down her phone) ah sorry Mr. Zhang (smiling wide) I was watching an anime I accidentally copied the character's greeting
Mr. Zhang: Your watching anime?
Gee: Ah not that much anymore Mr. Zhang since the beginning of my training but my favorite anime about cycling has a new season with an episode every Saturday
Mr. Zhang: (smiling) Yibo used to watch that too.
Gee: (excited) yeah! He told me before at the AMPM Ent's Night
Meanwhile at the airport, Yibo is sitting with his phone on his hand and ear phones plugged to his ears while waiting for their flight back, he was busy watching something in his phone. His assistant got curious so he sneaked a pick and was shaking his head.
Manager: That biking anime again?
Assistant: (smiling like saying "what else could it be) yeah
Yuna: Hey J-Jean (feeling awkward) are you busy tomorrow night? Gee and I are planning to invite Leo and the others to have dinner here, why don't you come and invite senior Kite and senior Yibo? M-Moru (blushing) and I are going to cook.
Mr.Zhang: oh that's a good idea! I heard he is also a good cook.
Gee: Yep! (feeling proud)
Yuna was smiling at Gee remembering how she and Moru has decided days ago on what to cook through messages and photos on their messenger.
Gee called Moru to meet them at the gate in the morning to go to the market together with Yuna that got him excited his phone fell on his face.
Gee was so happy that morning while watching the two smiling and nodding to each other while they are choosing the ingredients of the dishes they are going to cook for the dinner. She felt like crying seeing her most precious friends having a relaxing and enjoyable conversation with each other as they share their knowledge about their cooking and about the ingredients they are picking.
They got to their unit before lunch time. Moru cooked a quick meal for their lunch. The three of them had a warm lunch together.
Gee: (thoughts) Is this the feeling of having a mother and father? Hahaha
She was having thoughts looking at them with smile on her face.
