CHAPTER 11
Gee was on the rooftop practicing her performance for the individual evaluation when she noticed Yibo's skateboard. She smiled when she remembered their duet and their dance yesterday while it wqs raining. She picked it up and wiped it. She noticed the part where she said something about it. It has a red lining now. She smiled wider while touching it. She put it standing on the wall then went for a practixe.. After 1 run, she took it and went downstairs, it still not her time to go down but she decided to go back to their unit.
She prepared her things before going in the bathroom to take a bath. She was very excited she was singing the song he and Yibo sang together for the first time. She was dancing to the piece she's going to perform which she danced together with Yibo yesterday while putting her training uniform. She looked at Yibo's skateboard standing beside her bed. She just ate oatmeal and a slice of bread. She wrote a note for Yuna saying she went out first and posted it on the refrigerator then she went out. She was tapping her feet while holding Yibo's skateboard.
When she reached the ground floor. She sat near the elevator where Yibo and the other AMPM talents are coming from. Trainees and staffs are prohibited from bothering the AMPM Ent artists residing at the other building. Autographs, photos, or even just staring at them are not allowed to give them a breathe from public eyes for them to feel like a normal person within that compound. She was seating there for almost 30 minutes when someone came out from the elevator, it was the actor from a very famous ongoing series she have watched before she entered the training. She stood up and bowed.
Gee: Goodmorning!
Famous actor: good morning (he bowed and continued walking)
Then Gee went back from seating. She was listening to a song from her music player when the elevator opened again. It was the actress from Yibo and Sean's series who acted as Yibo's sister.
Gee: (she stood up and bowed) good morning!
Actress: oh (bowed) good morning
There were five other celebrities she saw that morning but Yibo was not one of them. She was about to loose hope and she take a look at her watch its already 8:05. She even saw some of her co trainess coming out from the other elevator including Leo and Yuna.
Yuna was a little surprised to see her, she greeted her but Yuna just nodded.
Leo: hey what are you doing there?
Gee: oh I was waiting for Yibo, he forgot his skateboard.
Leo: huh? Why don't you just go to his unit and return it, your close to him right?
Gee: ah yeah! (she smiled upon hesring the word friend but she woke up) but I don't know his floor
Leo: what? Oh and you can't just go there by the way bro, we are not allowed there or else we'll be punished.
Gee: eh really?
Leo: what? Its written in the manual? Didn't you read it?
Gee: ah yeah I did, I just forgot.
Leo: ha, good thing I told you, come one lets go, just return it on his day with us.
Gee: But I bet he was looking for this, he used to bring this everywhere.
Leo: ah I see, well then just don't be late. I'll be heading first.
Gee: sure, thanks man!
They waved goodbye.
The tine was already 8:21 when she noticed Yibo's bodyguards and manager coming to the elevator. She immediately stood up and hold Yibo's skateboard. She was about to say something…
Manager: He has a lot of schedules today. Its not like him to ditch work because he was not feeling well. Maybe its really worse we have to take him to the hospital.
Gee was very shocked and got so worried she tried to call them but they just ignored her. She panicked so hard she immediately went for the stairs but she went back and stood impatiently at the front of the elevator. She smiled when it stopped at 7th floor. She saw on her wrist watch its already 8:26 and she took a deep breath, put down Yibo's skateboard, stretched a little, then she took back Yibo's skateboard then went running to the door and she ran fast at the stairs.
Meanwhile, Yuna was looking at the wall clock its 8:29 and she glanced at Gee's spot but it was only Leo looking at the door. She got a little worried.
When Gee reached the floor, she was leaning around looking out if someone was there but no one. She saw the cctv cameras and she took a deep breath then she just walk normally while Yibo's skatebaord was on her shoulders acting like it was hers. She was looking at the doors but she just saw numbers on it. She reached the last unit but she didn't find any clue. She sighed and walked with her face down. She panicked when she heard a door opened and she saw Yibo's manager and bodyguards coming out from it. It was unit 65. She smiled upon knowing. She waited there until, they are gone.
It was already 8:45 Gee took a deep breath, before she knocked on the door.
She was very anxious she was tapping on her feet. The door opened, they were both surprised to see each other. Yibo was wearing a shirt and a pajama with his bed hair and his eyes has dark circles, he looks like he couldn't see, his nose were red and he was covered with his blanket.
Gee: yoh! (she was smiling wide holding Yibo's skateboard on her left habd and her right hand raised)
Yibo wqs surprised he was staring at his skatebaord.
Gee: you forgot your skateboard, and I heard you were sick? Maybe it was because we were drenched in rain yesterday.
Yibo was just looking at his skateboard and to Gee, he seems thinking of something.
Yibo: No! H-how did you get here?
Gee: oh haha Im just lucky maybe (she smiked wide)
Yibo: your not supposed to be here (he opened the door wide open and he was reaching for his skatebaord but he felt so dizzy he almost fell)
Gee was able to catch him.
Gee: waah you are burning in fever!
Gee escorted him inside while hokding Yibo's skateboard. She put down the skateboard standing on the wall then she continued escorting Yibo to his room.
Yibo: what are you still doing here, your supposed to be in your training, you'll be punished if you are 15 minutes late.
Gee: I'd rather accept it than to let you worry about your missing skateboard and without visiting you after I heard you were scik.
Gee put Yibo down on his bed and help him lay but she put 3 layers of pillow.
Gee: did you had your breakfast and medicine?
Yibo: (staring at her then to his skateboard, feeling bad about forgetting bout it because he felt irritated when he saw Gee hugged that guy) who was that guy you hugged yester- (he coughed)
Gee: hey, are you okey? (she was worries her face was close to him) I'll cook something for you so you can take a medicine.
Yibo: I already did.
Gee: oh okey, ah where is your face towel or handkerchief?
Yibo poibted to his cabinet. Gee opened it and was very shocked upon seeing how it was not organized.
Gee: gah senior Yibo, are you always in a hurry whenever you are getting something from here? (she was picking it out one by one and was folding it neatly, she found a white one)
Gee was looking at his drawers the she saw a face mask. She went to the comfort room to dump it with water. She went back to Yibo and she put the face mask on Yibo's face. At first Yibo was putting away his face and pushing Gee's hands but Gee hold his face with her two palms. Looking at his face.
Gee: im trying to help you here senior Yibo, don't be stubborn!
Yibo's ears turned red and he couldn't do anything. Gee was able to put the face mask with the wet cloth inside it covering his nose, but his mouth doesn't have any cover.
Gee: breath out from your mouth and try to breath it from your nose.
Yibo tried it and he felt a little comfortable. Ge smiled upon seeing it. Gee fixed again Yibo's pillow. Gee's face were so close and Yibo was surprised when he opened his eyes. Gee gave him a smile. After she finished fixing his pillow, she fixed Yibo's face mask touching his right cheek.
Gee: don't lay for awhile okey? Just sleep like that until you feel a little better.
Yibo: im okey now, youre already late you better go.
Gee: are you sure? Will you be okey here alone?
Yibo: yeah, thank you.
Gee: I'll comeback later okey? (she was in the door of his room)
Yibo's eyes were closed he seemed angry at himself.
Yibo: (his thoughts) forgetting my skateboard because of that huh? Even letting her carry it -
He was in that thoughts when Gee cameback
Gee: by the way, hehe I didn't realized you would listen to my suggestion for putting those red lines haha it looks more awesome (she smiled and went out)
Yibo was so flustered because of it he put his hands on his forehead and he sighed.
Yibo: one month, I still have one month… there is no way…. ( he let out a deep breath)
It was 9:05 when she reached the door. She was running out of breath. She took a deep breath when she knocked on the door. Leo was the one who opened it and was very surprised to see her.
Leo: what happened to you?
They went inside, she was leaning if Ms. Kim was already inside but luckily she didn't saw her and everyone were still chatting.
Gee: oh I just had an emergency I need to take care of
Leo: were you able to return senior Yi-
Gee: (covered his mouth) shhh don't say it out loud like that. By the way, where is Ms. Kim?
Leo: oh the staff said they had an emergency meeting.
Gee: (she let out a breathe of relief) whew thank goodness I thought im dead haha
Leo: yeah, im worried sick od you you know, iit will be boring without you
Gee: haha thanks
Just as they were about to siit, Ms. Kim arrived and apologized for being late due to their emergency meeting. Then the braided hair girl raised her hand.
Braided girl: Ms. Kim isn't that being late should get a punishment?
Ms. Kim: ah yes,
Braided girl: Gee was 35 minutes late
Ms. Kim looked with a question in her eyes. Gee stood up bowing in apology.
Ms. Kim: If the emergency meeting didn't happened today, you will get a punishment but because there is such, you willl be excused for today.
Gee bowed again I thanks and she sit back. Yuna just looked at her.
Ms. Kim: anyways I hope it will never happen again Gee.
Gee: ah y-yes Ms. Kim (she bit her lips for lying)
Gee was still worried for Yibo, she was still thinking about him she can't focus in their training. Yuna was observing her and she was worried too. But she was shocked when she saw Gee slapped her face and seemed like she has awaken and was trying to concentrate she was shaking her thinking she's crazy.
Lunch break came, when Yuna was about to approach Gee, she walked passed everyone on the door and she went out first. Leo tried to call her but she just mouthed to see him later and waved bye running to the hallway. Yuna just sighed and was disappointed.
Gee was in front of the elevator but its coming up, she was in hurry she couldn't wait she ran to the stairs. She reached Yibo's door and she knocked but Yibo was sleeping, she tried to open the door and it was opened. She went inside and quietly went to Yibo's bedroom, she saw that Yibo was still sleeping. She went to Yibo's kitchen and she saw the porridge, she reheat it. While she was mixing it, she didn't noticed Yibo was in the doorway holding on the edge.
Yibo was observing her. Gee's front hair was tied up and she was just wearing a white tshirt. Gee looks like a girl in Yibo's eyes. It made him smile when Gee looks like a girl cooking in his kitchen then he smirked at himself for having those thoughts. Gee noticed him and was surprised but got worried she went to him. Gee noticed his ears were red so she test her temperature by putting her palms on his forehead and hers.
Gee: your not that hot though, it seems your fever went down (she smiled)
Yibo was just looking at her face. Gee escorted him to his room.
Gee: but senior Yibo, you still need to rest. (she put him in his bed and she fix again his pillow) I'll bring your food here okey.
Yibo was just staring at her. He smiled a little and sighed out of relief. He smirked at himself enjoying the feeling of being taken care of by someone. Then his phone rang, it was his manager.
Manager: Yibo, im on my way to your unit, how are you feeling?
Yibo: Im okey now Ms. Chen, my friend (he smirked shaking his head) my friend is here helping me out.
Manager: your friend? Who?
Yibo: Gee, he is a trainee here in AMPM
Manager: oh I didn't know you had a friend aside from those you hang out with before and Sean
Yibo: I just met him at the at the chapter event and we had a race he beat me.
Manager: ah I see, but please be careful you don't know him that long, he migjt just use your influence you know.
Yibo: its okey… don't worry, I don't think he is like that, he has the talent and skill he can manage on his own and besides, I will not let him in if he is not trustworthy.
Manager: are you sure?
Yibo: yeah, I have seen it with my own eyes.
Manager: oh well I think he is, he seemed to have earned your respect.
Yibo: I'll be back to work tomorrow
Manager: okey, just rest well…
Yibo: yeah, thank you (he hanged up his phone and put it back on the side table.
Gee came in with a bowl of hit porridge, she put it his side table and went back to get a glass of water.
When she came back, Yibo was already eating by himself.
Gee: hey why are you eating by yourself? (she put down the glass and sat on the bed side)
Yibo: I jusy had a fever and bad colds, Im not paralyzed.
Gee: oh yeah your right
Yibo: what are you still doing here?
Gee: I'll wait for you until your finished
Yibo: go back now you'll be late again, by the way you didn't get punished earlier?
Gee: hehe No, Ms. Kim arrived late due to their meeting.
Yibo: lucky for you
Gee: haha I know right (she laughed)
Yibo: im okey now, you can go back
Gee: are you sure?
Yibo: do you want to be punished?
Gee: im curious, what is the punishment for being late?
Yibo put down his bowl and stood up then he grabbed Gee on her shoulders and was pushing her to the doorway.
Gee: h-hey wait senior Yibo
Yibo: you'll know it once you go back, youre already 5 minutes late now.
Gee: gaaah but-
Yibo was able to push her outside
Yibo: im okey now, thanks (he closed the door)
Gee: sen- haish (she pouted, then she started to run to the stairs)
Gee was able to return but she was 12 minutes late. She took a deep breath and knocked. Kite opened the door and was surprise to see her.
Kite: Oh its you, why are panting? where did you came?
Gee: (she bowed) im – sorry- senior Kite- i-just – had an emergency- but I cannot - (she was saying it between her heavy breathing)
Kite: okey, but sorry but you have to be punished for being late.
Gee: I'll accept it senior Kite, im sorry
Kite: because you were 12 minutes late, you have to stand facing the wall for 2 hours, you are forbidden to come inside unless you were called.
Gee: so it means I will miss the training today?
Kite: ( nodded and sighed) if you tell me the reason why you are late I might let you in, besides your doing well we might give consideration.
Gee: (she smiled) thank you senior Kite but no matter what my reason is, I chose to do it anyway so I should be punished for being late.
Kite: (smiled) Then, excuse me I have to go back inside.
Gee: (bowed) thank you (she turned back and faced the wall
She was standing there for almost 30 minutes she yawned out of boredom. She smiled when she came up with an idea. She was practicing her dance for their evaluation when she hear her stomach growling. She held to her stomach but she continued practicing.
She got tired and shaking so she leaned to check if there is someone around, when she saw no one, she fell to the floor and she sat there holding her stomach. After a few minutes she saw Ms. Kim coming so she immediately stood up and faced the wall.
Ms. Kim: you were late again
Gee: im sorry Ms. Kin but I just had an important thing to do.
Ms. Kim : and that is to sneak on Yibo's unit this morning and this afternoon
Gee: (was very shocked)
Ms Kim: Im so disappointed in you, I didn't gave you the punishment earlier but you didn't learned you did it again this time and not only that, you even broke one of the most important rules you should follow.
Gee: (still facing the wall) i-im sorry Ms. Kim
Ms.Kim: Why did you sneaked to Yibo's unit? What did you there?
Gee: Im sorry ms. Kim but I cannot tell you
Ms. Kim: what? Hey can you face me while im talking to you
Gee: im sorry ms. Kim but im being punished right now by senior Kite.
Ms. Kim: y-you (she went inside then came back with Kite)
Kite: Gee, you can turn around
Ms. Kim: (sighed) now answer my questions, why did you sneaked to Yibo's unit?
Kite was surprised he got curious he looked at her but Gee was facing down.
Gee: im sorry Ms. Kim but I cannot tell you the reason, Im willing to accept whatever you will give me for doing so.
Ms. Kim: (sighed) You will be suspended for a week
Kite and Gee were shocked
Gee: A w-week? But am I still allowed to participate in the individual evakuation?
Ms. Kim: im afraid not
Kite: Ms. Kim, hey Gee why dobt you tell us why you went there?
Gee: (sighed) Im sorry Ms. Kim, senior Kite, I didn't intended to sneaked in there, I was waiting for him on the groundfloor but I heard that he was sick , I got worried I sneaked into his unit to check up on him.
Ms. Kim: (sighed) even so, you still broke the rule and you are not tasked to take care of him he had his manager to take care of him and besides are you friends with him?
Gee: but-
Ms. Kim: im sorry
Kite: Ms. Kim, he has a good reason for doing so, he is suspended but why don't we just let him participate in the individual evaluation?
Ms. Kim: im sorry but him checking up on Yibo is not necessary, are they even related? Besides he must be bothering him and that's another rule broken.
Yibo: He didn't went there without my permission Ms. Kim, I asked him to come when he told me he has to return my skateboard and we've been friends even before the training.
The three of them were surprised to heard and see Yibo coming. He was wearing his face mask and a shirt and black pants. Gee was worried she tried to approach him but Ms. Kim glared at her.
Kite: I heard you were sick
Yibo: yeah I was, but I feell better now, thanks to him.
Ms. Kim: did you even called him this afternoon?
Yibo: yes ms. Kim, I asked him to comeback to reheat the porridge he cooked for me this morning.
Gee was shocked upon hearing Yibo she was mouthing to him that "I can't cook" but Yibo just glared at him Kite was keeping his laugh seeing it.
Ms.Kim: you can ask one of your staff to do it.
Yibo: They are doing their job, I don't want to bother them besides he is just floors away, is it wrong to ask a friend to take care of me?
Kite gave a facial expression agreeing with him.
Ms. Kim: (sighed) I have to talk to the others regarding this, though I know your take on this already.
Yibo: why bother Ms. Kim, I already told you that he didn't went there without my permission, Im the one who called him and technically caused him being late.
Ms. Kim: (sighed, she faced Gee) I hope this is the last time you will cause something like this.
Gee: (she smiled) y-yes Ms. Kim, t-thank you (she bowed her head)
Ms. Kim walked away then Kite tapped her on his shoulder and gestured her to come inside.
Gee: (bowed) Ah senior Kite I still have 10 minutes for my punishment.
Kite: okey the he closed the door.
Gee turned to face Yibo and bowed to him. When she was about to say something Yibo covered her mouth with an energy bar and bottled water. She was surprised.
Gee: wow- thank you senior Yibo (she took it with both hands and gave him another bow)
Yibo: (lifted her face) don't be late anymore because of me or else they might think of something malicious about it.
Gee: senior Yibo, why did you tell them that you called me? And about the porridge? I cant cook, and why did you lied about how we know each other?
Yibo: can you just eat what I bought for you? And not ask anymore
Gee: (she smiled) haha okey, ah thank you for this but you went outside just to buy this for me even if your not feeling well? (her eyes were teary) waaah we really are friends now???
Yibo: (he hit her in her forehead) don't get ahead of yourself (hen he turned back and started to walk away)
Gee followed him and grabbed him in his shoulder.
Gee: waaah senior Yibo im so touched (she was crying)
Yibo: (just looked at her and sighed) just eat already will you?
Gee let go of his arms and started to open it but she was struggling because she was holding the bottled water. Yibo sighed and took it from her and he opened it. Gee was very happy upon receiving it. Gee took a bite and she was like crying about it. Her face looks funny that made Yibo laughed a little that made Gee surprised and she smiled widely she didn't noticed her teeth were stained by it and that made Yibo laughed out loud, Gee was puzzled she ran to the glass wall and she noticed it. She went back to him and she even smile wider but she seemed mad that made Yibo laugh louder.
Yibo: (he turned her face to him ) here let me see
Gee: (was puzzled so she open her mouth wider)
She was puzzled but Yibo took a picture of her, she was very shocked and Yibo ran away.
Gee: hey- senior Yibo- (she tried to followed him but she realized her time is almost done so she just bit her lips and raised her right fist)
But Yibo laughed even harder he waved bye and went to the elevator
Gee: haish that's the second time he took an embarrassing photo of me, he was such a cool guy and used to ignore me but I didn't thought he had that side of him, he is a buly (he shook his head) scary (she took another bite, , she suddenly remembered a scene just like that but it was with Jake, she didn't noticed her tears were falling .
From a distance, Sean was passing by but he stopped and was observing them while Yibo was laughing at her. He continued walking with his suit on his arms with a smile.
Sean: so he finally opened up to her huh
Inside the elevator…
Yibo was keeping his laugh while holding his phone looking at Gee's picture from the other day and the one he captured today. He created a folder and named it "crackedhead" and saved the two pictures in it.
The beautiful actress beside him was looking at him like he was a crazy person. He tried to compose him self by standing confident and acting cool while he was tapping his phone but the actress went out immediately and he even laughed at himself sitting while shaking his head.
