This person was quite small, and a bit shorter than Kinoko herself. They were in some sort of dark leather outfit, with a tinted motorcycle helmet.
The helmet head had a weapon in their hand. It looked like some sort of sword?
They dashed forward, the weapon aiming for her head. His speed was faster than a normal human's.
Kinoko was unprepared, only blocking the strike with her left palm.
The weapon went through her hand, stopping right in front of her nose.
A rapier?!
The temperature dropped again, and Kinoko felt her hand freezing. She quickly tried to break away, feeling her ankle joints pop unnaturally. Her feet had been frozen as well, but when?
"Weakling." The attacker mocked.
"Who are you? An envoy from above?" Kinoko, was unafraid. She may look like a ten-year-old, but this body was as strong as any lesser demon. She was stalling, trying to lock her ankles back in place.
The attacker ignored her question, instead, stepping back to lean on Lucifer's desk. Even within the darkened room, Kinoko could tell that this person was well trained. His arrogant strut, the way he moved, the ease in which he handled his weapon. All of these helped to solve that part of the mystery.
This one tasted like iron. Like blood. Not good.
Kinoko had gained enough strength to free herself of the ice bonds. She stumbled, leaning on the wall behind her. She glared at him, trying to see his features through his tinted helmet. Anyone who attacked her, and invaded Lucifer's home was either ignorant or arrogant. Kinoko just needed to figure out which.
"Trying to figure me out?"
"Trying to see how mad Lucifer Himself would be with your organs painting his study."
Motorcycle mask's thin arms crossed their chest. They were shaking in mockery.
"Oh no! The Adversary, the Old Serpent, the Father of Lies!" he was starting to laugh, "He's going to punish me for following His orders!"
What?
"Master ordered you to attack me?" Kinoko thought this was unbelievable, "Where is the spirit that resided in this room? Did you attack him too?!"
"You ask too many questions for a weakling," he gripped his small shoulders, and Kinoko felt the temperature drop even further.
The air was beginning to freeze, it was so cold the papers on the ground began to curl inwards.
This was frost magic. This person knew how to handle a sword and how to use magic?
He made a sudden cutting motion. The air split. Kinoko dodged to the right, tumbling into the bookshelf. She pushed the heavy shelf into motorcycle mask, using it as a shield.
But she was too slow.
He had appeared on her left. His sword aimed low and hit her right thigh. She felt the icy blade exit her leg and then… nothing. Kinoko lost her balance, falling face first into Lucifer's desk.
When did I lose my arm?
Before she could think anything else, the attacker has thrust the rapier against her cheek.
"Master doesn't need a weakling like you, slug-girl," he was angry. Why?
Kinoko stayed quiet, she could taste this mystery unravelling.
"Why are you so quiet now? What happened to all those stupid questions, slug?" he moved the blade down, digging it into her right shoulder.
"You really can't kill me, can you?" she asked.
"Huh?"
Kinoko took advantage of his confusion, she spun around and used her remaining arm to smash his helmet.
By now, the orange rays of the sunset were mostly pale moonlight. But she had succeeded in seeing his face. He was pale, with silver hair and yellow eyes, but more importantly, was a dhampir!
