Seeing as everything was taken care of the large manta turned his attention back to the kneeling human males.
"You know, having people kneel whenever they see you sure feels pretty good doesn't it little gold?" After bathing in that feeling for a little bit more he decided to let them off and told them all to get up.
Vall and the others hesitated for a second before getting back onto their feet. Their heads were still lowered as they dared not look straight at him in fear of offending the large creature.
"Relax you don't have to be so stiff. We passed by the beach and met your people, they were the ones that explained the situation to us and at the end we ended up making a little deal."
Vall had a bad feeling as soon as he heard that.
"They asked me to save you guys and in return…. I could have whatever I wanted." The smile underneath the mantas body became bigger as he said that.
Vall and Ralfe cursed in their minds on how naïve their people were. It seems they forgot what evil divine creatures were capable of! Since they have lived in the Enlightened continent their whole life they were used to how things were here but that's only because the divines here were restrained under the laws of the holy church and the church of darkness. If these divine were new or came from the barbarian lands they would either not know of the laws or not care all! Of course it wasn't as if it would have made much of a difference anyways since even if they did not promise anything, what could they do against a divine?
"Since I have completed my side of the bargain now you have to complete yours hehehe" The manta looked at each human until it noticed a big fatty with pale skin, he had a small wand on his waist and it was obvious he didn't get much sun from how pale he was..
"You, The fatty with white skin, i nee-" However before he could finish talking he found that the fatty had suddenly burst into tears.
"Waaaaa don't eat me, I don't taste good! Waaaaaa look at all this fat, I definitely can't be good for your health please don't eat me!" He proceeded to roll on the ground as large teardrops fell from his eyes.
'Seriously…..what is wrong with these people? Even the men are just as dramatic!' He could see the other strong men were also starting to get emotional as tears were accumulating in their eyes so he decided to speak up before things went out of control.
*Ahem ahem. "Fatty I need you to give me information, I picked you because you seem to know a lot of things." The large manta hurriedly spoke, seeing grown men cry wasn't something he enjoyed doing.
"Huh?" The fatty stopped his rolling on the ground and quickly got back up as he wiped away his tears as if nothing had happened.
"Hahaha Your majesty has good eyes! I am indeed the smartest person here!" You could hear the blatant pride in his voice.
The men that were getting emotional had their tears instantly dry up as they looked at the fatty in anger. The dumpling looking human completely ignored them of course.
The large manta smiled to himself as he watched them but as he did he found that other than the fatty everyone else were covered in blood from the beasts he had killed and there were also many injured ones. Actually now that he thought about it there were many human bodies covering the ground as well. He was actually quite surprised by how little reaction he had after seeing a dead human for the first time in his two lives.
'Maybe it's because I never really lived my past life that I think of myself more of a manta now than a human…' The huge creature went quiet for some time as some painful memories crossed his mind while everyone quietly waited for him. It was only after a few minutes later that he snapped out of it and started to speak again.
"I only need the fatty so everyone else can go do what you need to do, oh and there's no need to go inform the people at the shore I've already let them know what happened" He had already sent a small clone towards the shore after wiping out the bison creature so by now the rest of the villagers should have already gotten the news
As everyone quietly left and busied themselves in helping the wounded and gathering bodies a small clone came out of the big manta and hovered in front of Ralfe.
"Come with me" It said before flying into one of the closest houses. Ralfe was a little nervous but as he noticed the men all staring at him he stuck up his nose and puffed out his chest and walked into the small house right behind the clone in big strides.
The people outside gritted their teeth as they promised themselves that after the divine being left they would teach that annoying fatty a lesson.
Ralfe slowly walked into the living room and found the small manta clone hovering at the center. The small manta had his body vertical to the ground with its belly facing him showing the second face underneath his body. Ralfe quickly averted his gaze when he saw those 2 lifeless black eyes staring at him with a smile plastered on its face. He could feel goose bumps breaking out all over his body. Hurriedly walking in front of the small black clone he kneeled onto the floor not daring to raise his head again!
'Why are people so afraid of my cute face? I'm sure stingray faces are cute right? …..Of course I'm right, the people in this world are the weird ones…' The small manta clone comforted himself as his plan to look less scary for the fatty completely backfired.
"Ahem ahem .. Your holiness needed this little one for something?" Fortunately he had his head lowered and didn't notice the smile on the mantas face twitch as he called himself little one.
'Hmm .. I need some information. Tell me everything you know about divine beasts, the continent … … actually just tell me everything you know"
"Of course! of course! I was actually someone very important at a holy city at one point so I know more than normal people. I'll start with how I ended up in this godless village in the first place. You see there was this very powerful city lord who has many wives ...….." As he started to speak the fatty had unconsciously raised his head and was talking to the clone completely forgetting how scared he was just a moment ago.
